I really can't believe Ally McCoist is still at Rangers going into another season. I believe he's a poor manager. You could give him the Brazil team and he'd stuff it up.
The Board thinking he brings in fans is a wrong perception. He divides fans. Most fans think he's a poor manager. I also don't believe Walter smith is CEO at ibrox, that's just simply nonsense that shows how messed up the big picture is. I do think its ticket money desperation. I don't believe WS asks Stockbridge into his office to explain the detailed finances.
Hopefully the tired looking stadium will have had some infrastructure investment as promised for the new season. Corroded club badge on TV doesn't look great.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ws is chairman ceo is a difrent job completly

Agree0 Disagree0

You think brazil team would listen to am? They would just tell him to sit there and enjoy the show, though don't think he would even make it on the bench even being there manager lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally, no a great manager, but to be fair no Rangers manager has ever had to deal with the situation we are in. Walter, rather he involved that no one having backs, albeit limited power. Season tickets, club simply needs to sell similar figure to last yr, though personally I don't think we will, 35k would be my guess. Those making big bucks and taking us for a ride, jury's still out, but right now all we can do is back the team and in few years back in top league and Europe eith bigger revenue streams. Maybe ally should go for the greater good, but right now I hope he just puts a winning entreating team on the park that wins the league and maybe a cup and not be borrowed in the sudden death scenario. LB

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps someone even WS would like to come out and say a few words and if he did what would they be. I think he would say. Well I didn't appoint Ally. LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

So from the gloom we finally see the real plan

Green/Imran run the RiFC and can put it into liquidation any time they wish, meanwhile WS is ChairmanCeo of RFC and has to pay Green/Imran wad of cash each year

So rangers hamstrung for next 10 years or more. and tought 10 years ahead.

Agree0 Disagree0

A true fan supports the team no matter what. We can't just be fans when it suits us we stand by the team through good and the bad. So get down to the brox and renew your st. As for Mccoist yes he hasn't had the best of starts but look who he had as his chairmen C W then C G so gave him a season with his own signings then judge him he has already stated the team wilk b playing more attractive football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Judge him on this season not on a season were his sqaud walked away & he had a few weeks & no budget to build a team. Seriously considering Black & Shiels previous seasons we thought the would stroll div 3 both did'nt deliver. Can not blame McCoist for winning a league by double figures despite the odds stacked against your mental! I bet you stop for car crashes to.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6) Jabba, media director doesn't mean coming on blogs anonymously doing the sales pitch and guilt trip on those not renewing.

Don't you think we should be the bigger team and at least offer to have a friendly against hearts at there ground so we can help raise money for them.
We can benefit by showing how good our team are and we can start building bridges.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think that would be a good idea, as we all know that it's the fans that really suffer when this kind of thing happens. Also it would help to give rangers some good press for a change (usually it's all crowd trouble and problems within the club).

Agree0 Disagree0

Might be playing them in the league soon enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

We were the fans that suffered last time due to there fans jimping on the bandwagon they've got to be taught a lesson

Agree0 Disagree0

Great idea, pull together, make amends.

but some of he rabble would boycot.

300 yrs of club history doon ra pan in last tear alone, this is armageddon

scottish game descending to two huge teams and rest basket cases, which just leads no where good

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't we start our own league and on a Saturday the fella that reads the results out can say. And now the results from the Administrators League:
Heart 1 Dunfermline 0
The Rangers 3. Portsmouth 2

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like us to help Dumferline most of all.
Scottish football is in a bad way and if it is to survive we all need to be bigger than keep going over petty flights and past squabbles, we are where we are due to our own mistakes.
And for the record I would also include Killie!
Dounebear

Agree0 Disagree0

Let the hearts support go through the pain we went through last season got no sympathy for them as they had none for us

Agree0 Disagree0

To 7 gazza go to school and get a brain Hearts did not do it to us we did.
Please grow up and understand its time to join together not be divded over past mistakes. The owner of Hearts has disappeared but the true fans are still there suffering like we did, Scottish football as we know it is on the brink of being like Wales and Northern Ireland we all need to pull together seroiusly.
We will grow as a team from the ashes to play in the top flight league but what will be left when we get there?
Dounebear

Agree0 Disagree0

N8 maybe it was our fault but hearts support kicked us when we were down the fyrst to kick us in fact so yae reap what yea sow right enough tmwnn

@9: so kicking back is the right thing to do. Does it make you feel good reveling in the fact other fans are suffering now?

Agree0 Disagree0

8) respect

Im sure the Hearts Support would prefer to sort out their own clubs problems in any case, as would anyother fan base.

any idea how many st sold looks like pay at the gate is the way ahead

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't be a rocket. Back the club when they need us and try and forget about the political rammy in the boardroom.

We don't do walking away, so get your hand in your pocket and renew, it's not a lot of money so get signed up.

Real fans will renew, regardless of what is going on, that's what you do when you have a real emotional attachment to a club.
Get backing or get packing.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1: so a fan going to every game and paying at the gate, isn't a real fan? What if people don't have the money for a season ticket just now because of holidays or whatever but can afford to pay out for every match when it comes? Are they not real fans either?! One thing's for sure and that's those who label fans as not 'real' fans are unreal. In fact, they're real pains in the arse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pay at the gate for me. As a true fan it means Rangers get my money and also helps ensure the spivs can't pull a fast one.

If every fan bought a ST then they could for instance ditch Walter and Malcolm Murray the moment the ST money was in with no real comeback from the fans.

Rocket Ronnie

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 Think your out of order about getting backing or get backing. People are entitled to get value for money and if they don't want to renew their season ticket it doesn't make them any less of a fan. U don't have the right to tell anyone what to do!

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly 400 quid isn't a lot of cash, albeit the football is dross.
OUR club needs season ticket cash in. And needs it now. Our manager said it last year, " we are rangers fans, we don't do walking away" and again at the end of the season "we ARE the people"

If those comments didn't make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, why are you even posting or reading this?

I've backed the club by putting my hand in my pocket and renewing, I will keep my season ticket and keep renewing regardless of the situation.
I won't be in away grounds again, just my choice mind.
If you have an emotional attachment to an establishment like rangers, you back it. It's not like buying shares when you look at a market and make a call on what will make you cash, I put my cash in because its my club, it's the club my grandad took me to when I was 5 years old, the club me and my dad stood and watched, the club I've supported all over Europe and now the club I take my daughters to watch.
This club deserves our support, so stop this pay at the gate rubbish.
Renew your season tickets and roar the bears back to we're we belong.
The rotten mhob are sitting in our seat right now, we will chase them.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5/ How crass. To a lot of people £400 IS a lot of money. Are they less of a fan than you?

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the difference between paying at the gate in every game and buying a season ticket? I would suspect that those paying at the gate are actually giving more money to the club and their money coming in throughout the season is just as important as those who pay at the start of the season. Nothing wrong with paying for games individually. U r still supporting the club and will go to as many games as season ticket holders

Agree0 Disagree0

@6. The ones that struggle to pay their ST are the biggest fans by far. They make a real sacrifice at times - ST instead of a family holiday etc. they have every right to be wary of paying for ST

Agree0 Disagree0

@7 paying at gate raises more, as season tickets bulk discount.

as gives fans far more control, if board do something stupid, boycot just one game and register financial protest

fan power is real

@5: the rotten ones are people like you dictating who's a proper fan. £400 isn't much?! Try checking out the real world sometime.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 yes it makes u a real fan if u can't afford a st but can afford to pay on a game to game basis then don't listen to all there not a true fan pish its all bs!not every1 has £400 in the 1 go but can afford £25 on a match day what's the problem?

5) OUR club needs season ticket cash in. And needs it now.

how come? there's still absolute minimum ten mill from the share issue, you know the one that promised stadium improvements and while i'm on the subject as far as I can tell the only improvement during the close seasons been a lick of paint.

Ally can give it WATP all he likes I'd rather hear him tell fans the truth for once. Sick of being lied to.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 so your a true fan that supports his team yet u won't go to a away grounds to support your team?surely true fans will support our team wherever they play?but your more of a fan cause I have a st and if the board **** off with your cash that's ok cause its the rangers board!

Agree0 Disagree0

@11: poster 2 here and I agree with you - what's the problem. Indeed, as some have pointed out on this thread, the chances are that if you pay at the gate, it costs more. Not everyone can afford to pay £400 at once, despite it not being much, according to another poster who obviously has money to burn!

Agree0 Disagree0

The purchase of season tickets does not have to be a one off payment I have renewed mine in the west enclosure on a four monthly payment setup a ten month is also available the average price is about £300 it is up to the indvidual to buy as they see fit, so long as we turn again as last season and show everyone what being a Raners fan realy means.
