Hi ed, a wee suggestion for a pole, Does hearts have an advantage in league because they're out both cups, and rangers are still in both?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Hearts have an advantage because they have performed better and beaten us twice, even before they went out of the cup yesterday they were 9 points clear, thats just my opinion)

Correct edmundo the only hope we have is if injurys and suspensions kick in for jam tarts

Agree0 Disagree0

Straws and clutching at comes to mind. Hearts were in front before the cup game. They are there on merit. Don't tell me you are complaining because the club is still in the two cups?

Agree0 Disagree0

No not complaining, and know hearts were 9 points in front, but over a full season a lot of bears thought that hearts could be caught, and was just wondering that with extra games etc to be played would that change peoples opinions.

Well after that cup draw I can indeed see an old firm team winning the treble, the good news is it won't be Celtic!

Rangers v raith rovers, fifth round scottish cup, not a bad draw!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes, good draw. That should see us into the last 8. A win against Alloa on Wednesday night and we will be in the final of the Challenge Cup then of course on 1st Feb the League Cup semi-final v the 'tic. One negative is that there will be two successive weekends in February with no league games so a danger of Hearts stealing further ahead. I think we've 8 league games from now to end of January, including Hearts at home and Hibs away. What a boost a 100% run would give the team before facing Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that's a must 8 wins can't accept no less let's hope we get it try n close this gap a bit try n win this league

Once again we get a good result with the team playing well and do we get posters coming on here and saying well done? No we get nit pickers scanning papers and news reports to have a go at mccoist terrible, credit were credit is due your not long in slagging him when results go wrong & the attendance yesterday pathetic the people who stayed away cheers u didn't help the clubs cash problems, should be embarrased to call your self supporters (look up the meaning). remember last season we were saying it must be Halloween as they turned up at porkheid dressed as green seats?, think about it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

OP: "supporters (look up the meaning)".
I did, in the OED; "A person who is actively interested in and wishes success for a particular sports team". Doesn't mention anything about going to watch said team.

ACTIVELY interested says it all with ACTIVELY being the definitive word. As if u don't go and support u are not being active.

@1)spot on mate makes you no less a fan if you've decided to stay away from Ibrox for most who have it will of been one of the hardest decisions they've had to make, I was at the Saint's v man city game at the same time as the Rangers match and missed most of it as I was concerned with watching the people take killie apart on my ipad, once a Bear always a Bear.

The man still can't grasp the fact that people are broken hearted at staying away, they are trying to force change.Even though I go to the home games,I respect each fans choice.Calling folk an embaressment is just shallow.

Rf its everyone's choice to go to a match or stay away doesn't make u less of a fan loads a fans sick of McCoist and rightfully so his tactics are garbage his teams football is garbage he won't drop any of his pals to give others a chance he would rather play guys out of position than give a fringe player a chance!fact!!and there are others that are sick of feedin that board with there hard earned cash especially this time of year I would rather spend money on ma kids n family than give it to that shower!does that make me less a fan I don't think so but u still like to attend matches and fair play to u just don't say we are not real supporters I've gave my club plenty of cash over the last 20 years but right now the club is a shambles from top to bottom

Hi ed my last post was meant for the debate with rf. sorry royalblue

Look at it this way two aberdeen fans not happy with the clubs debt plough in 10mil for a fifth of the club I may add, Hearts fans not happy. with club going into administration take over, hibs fans not happy with board are trying to arrange a meeting with board/owner with a view to taking over, m/well fans not happy with board are in the process of taking over, Rangers fans not happy with board what do they do? boycott! embarrassing.
r. f

Agree0 Disagree0

Its also everyones right to make up their own mind whether they want to go but its also not dave kings right to tell supporters what to do if he is not going to buy shares but keeps trying to drive the club into admin or worse he should proove to everyone he has the money to carry it out otherwise p. off

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Dec 2014 15:38:11
There's not a hope in hell of rangers fans owning the club as for the 2 Aberdeen fans puttin money in for a share of the club good on them but we have been skint for years and no fan has came forward n put money in only fannys that want to bleed the club dry!fans want rid of the board they see this as the only way keep givin them yer cash they will keep taking it for themselves

Agree0 Disagree0

Rf you must be watching a different game from the one I watched. the 3-0 papers over the cracks. for long spells it was dire. on the plus side, and can't believe I'm saying this, big bombscare and foster were excellent. however how much longer do you think ally is going to play McLeod wide left instead of centre mid and get rid of black. one swallow doesn't make a summer

Agree0 Disagree0

We had a 3-0 home win against killie, albeit a poor killie team but so are we going by the professional analysts on here, but well done ally mccoist and the team, took a lot of stick and rightly so after the Alloa and hearts games, but came out controlled the game from start to finish, the confidence looked back in the players, foster had his best game all season, Macleod lively also law was superb not everyone's favourite midfielder but he gets on with it and never hides. Let's hope we get the same energy and commitment on Wednesday and the boys make up for that poor draw at ibrox

r f we have tried talking to our board they do not engage we have tried offering money threw david king didn't work they are so ignorant it beggars believe the fans are not a embarrassment they are standing up for the club while other supporters bury there head in the sand they gave up seats they have had for years now will never get them back because others now have them this wasn't a easy decision for them to make as for game was good win but the opponent were very poor these cup runs have come at the worst season possible we need to win the league not cups

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Dec 2014 21:14:36
@13 I'm by no means burying my head in the sand mate,I wrestle with my conscience every time I go to the games. I've stated I respect the boycotters decision not to go.I find it hard to break the habit of a lifetime, that's the truth.I take 2 of my grandsons to some of the games also.Ideally I would like them to have a Rangers my auld man first took me to watch, those days are long gone unfortunately, but I respect your decision so please respect mine.Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

Ferguson 6: Yes, Foster had a great match and Law had a particularly good match, he was very dogged and determined, I actually like Law, he can sometimes be on and off but I think he is valuable to the team as he's always likely to get a goal.

01 Dec 2014 23:29:13
gkk of course I respect your decision
just a pity we can not organize sum thing to do that we all agree on for the sake of the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers pal. I was just surprised because you normally make a well informed point. I gave up my seat too after many years, I pay game by game. Hopefully we can find a way forward for everyone.

I defies belief this idea that Newcastle United might farm out some of their youngsters to Rangers in the new year. Brilliant thinking McCoist, given that you've farmed out all of your promising youngsters to other clubs! And in which games might McCoist play these youngsters if this does come to pass? Probably NONE!. I've said many times before on here that we should have retained the like of Mackay, Gallagher, Gasparatto, Crawford, et al and given them experience in the first team. I'm sure Barry Mackay is easily good enough for an extended run in the first team alongside Lewis McLeod. I dread to think what the like of Boyd, Miller, Foster and Smith might do to us if we do get to the SPL next season.

I really feel sorry for the "sack ally" brigade whilst the rest of us are happy at yesterdays result and thinking how far we might go and get excited with anticipation as to who we will get in the next round u mumble into your knuckles thinking up ways to discredit his name.

Rf. I live down in England along with thousand's of other Rangers fans, if we are playing at Ibrox on a Saturday then our supporters club can easily fill a 52 seated coach, but Sunday game's are very difficult for a lot of our member's to attend due to what time we get back home and work the next day etc, and judging by the amount of supporter's buses we pass on the M6 heading to Ibrox on a Saturday I'm guessing a decent percentage of a match day crowd are from England and northern Ireland Also scottish cup games around all ground's have not been well supported for years now, and it's the same with the fa cup down here. I watched the game in our Rangers club yesterday along with about 150 others, and believe me mate, everyone of us were buzzing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wht would newcastle send young players up macoist has wasted the ones we have and would do the same to theirs

01 Dec 2014 16:44:20
Look I'm not saying he's this or that and I've said b4 I believe he will go next season promoted or not all I'm saying is credit were credits due as he gets a hard time when results don't go our way as for boycotts there not working and do more harm. than good.

does anyone else have that deja vu moment again our manager talking to Lmabais and all is rosy players coming in the window, don't know how much he will have to spend WHAT next ally a couple of pints and listen to bruce springsteen

Believable0 Unbelievable0

01 Dec 2014 10:53:32
I don't know about Bruce Springsteen, but I did feel a bit of dejavu yesterday. It felt like 1982 again inside Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah 1982 - all we had to worry about was john greig!
& players cooper, johnstone, bett, prytz & others
makes you wonder eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bil72: It was a good team, on paper anyway lol, we thought we had it bad then?it just shows you mate. I'd swap them in a heartbeat with this lot if I could, Greig for Ally as well!
