Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

A little rumour I just heard (or perhaps a bit of banter?) - apparently Mike Ashley at Newcastle is looking for a new manager for Newcastle after todays result. Rumour has it that he wants Ally to come and re-build The Magpies fortunes. In fact he would like to form a Rangers-Newcastle-United-Superstore-Football Team, and play in both leagues at the same time. Charles Green welcomes the idea and has flown to Geneva to discuss this masterplan with UEFA. Ashley and Green - The Masters of The Universe. Muppets.

I hope you told the person that told you this wee rumour that they were talking absolute nonsense and that they should go for a lie down and stay off the strong cider for a bit.

Began to get interested and somewhat upbeat on this post, idea is great, excitement went to zero when I thought back to initial input saying Ally to become Necastle manager which made me believe post is absolute complete BS.

Whatever flicks your switch I suppose.

@#1 why would he do that? If op is a rangers fan, of course he would believe it!

Of course it is crap. But highlights the fantasy world that "footballing mavericks" live in. Green in the 4th Tier of Scottish football, Mike Ashley about to get relegated after spending a fortune on players. Ashley also hiring an already failed manager (Pardew) on one of the most lucrative deals ever offered to an English Premier League manager. Green and Ashley. Two duds.

Agree8 Disagree4

Are you having a laugh, with sally as manager it won't be rangers going to the conference it will be newcastle .

Agree10 Disagree3

Ally as an EPL manager. It's just so ridiculous. What EPL board and fan base would trust their fortunes and expenditure to Ally? Get real.
Refs wouldn't help him with nine red cards against opposition down there.

Agree16 Disagree6

Ally as manager in epl is a no go just as lennon would be totally out of his class

Agree5 Disagree18

Whats lennon got to do with this issue

Agree15 Disagree3

@8, was it ally who was invited to a managers dinner with all of the greats or was it Lennon? Was it am who beat barca and almost had a draw in nou camp or nl? Is it the epl and top leagues going after the talented players of your club that am has brought in or is it nl? Nl is been scouted for a epl clubs, and this is a tic fan making this all up it is just public knowledge unlike how yous like to start all these rumours.

Agree21 Disagree7

Do Rangers fans not understand satire? seems they missed the point of the OP. The word Muppets at the end should have explained it. By the way, bears, good result today, keep up the good work. be good if you could beat 11 players though, like they have in proper football.

Agree12 Disagree7

People keep going on about allys ability to sign players. He has had very little money for two seasons.

Agree3 Disagree7

Celtic fans are really hurting were still here lennon couldn't beat arbroath in glasgow he would be kicking water bottles all over grounds in epl what a laugh

Agree3 Disagree10

@10 'almost had a draw' !! how many points do you get for that in the champions league? anyway nl copied walter with his tactics.
£5m for Hooper and you knocked them back!!
Any bids in for your £20m plus midfielder? value by nl.
and this is a bear not making it up, you just can't.

Agree3 Disagree15

@ 11 Be good if you could do well in Europe whilst not having such an easy ride in the spl without Rangers!

Agree2 Disagree7

@14, you don't get points as you no for not getting a draw(secs away mind you) but it does open a lot of ppls eyes around the world, copied Walter? You think you can go all out and not defend against the best team ever? Did nl not put on a forward and other attacking players which an 18 year old scored to beat barca? We already rejected a 7mill bid for hooper before so why would we take 5? And wanyama is been tracked by man u, arsenal as well other top clubs and it's only a matter of time before we cash in on him. Just because we haven't sold him dosent mean he is not worth 20mill for this is his first season and already top clubs are after him so just think of what another season will do. do you not see how dumb you sound for you has your rangers eyes on when your club is the rangers, your jealousy is to big for you to see sense and true football thinking. Is it because your leaders have lied to you and give you false hope that you think this way?

Agree13 Disagree3

@15, are you saying Celtic are doing good in Europe because the rangers is not in the league or you Celtic are playing badly? Cause Celtic would have been top of the group if they had draw barca in the nou camp only to lose in the last secs. Why can't yous just accept Celtic are doing great as a buisness and a club without hate? Have your leaders messed you up by all the lies that you don't see the real facts? Cause we all know that yous tune in to hope to see Celtic do bad but they haven't so you have to make things up to make you feel better. As the world says great job.

Not talking about doing it straight away but would anyone ever like to see the corners where the screens are made into a second tier for the stands? Give us almost a bowl? Considering we're almost filling the stadium every week it'd add a good few thousand extra capacity which is ultimately extra income. Especially when we're back in the top flight.

Thoughts?

Believable29 Unbelievable11

Would love that to happen m8 but where would the cash come from

Agree12 Disagree2

Should have been done right in the beginning. Corners should have been made to follow the existing stands all the way up.

Agree13 Disagree4

They looked to do it years ago, but discovered they could not get the founds down and decided to go for the smaller option with the big screens, so am afraid its stuck the way it is.

Agree7 Disagree10

Lets face it, the only reason there are as many going to games is because the tickets are half the price of any decent SPL club.

Agree21 Disagree22

Ive said this for yrs no point in the screens in my opinon

Agree10 Disagree2

Decent idea. Have you taken into consideration the cost for the building work though? Millions mate.

Agree12 Disagree1

You can't fill the stadium you got so wheres the rest of the fans coming from ?? and am sure murrey tried to but didn't get planning permission because of the stairs for safety reasons

Agree12 Disagree11

Would love to see that happen but I think that the cost would be more than the money raised from share issue, modern re-construction costs are enomous, and I actually like the stadium as it looks now, so ultra modern.jaz.rtid.

Agree5 Disagree3

Aren't there other improvements needing to be done to the stadium before any thoughts of expansion are considered?

Agree6 Disagree3

Would you rather not spend money on getting rid of the asbestos and tarting up the joint looks a bit of a sh!thole.

Briggs

Agree15 Disagree9

@3. Nothing to do with founds, did you just invent that? The screens were put in and put in those corners for a purpose. Purpose being the beam back games that didn't really get off the ground. They were put in those two corners as the main stand has 3 tiers ( so they could sell more tickets for beam back ) and corners at either end of main stand had to be left open for ambulance access, if you don't know the answer to something, please don't just invent something! If the ground at the two corners wasn't suitable for foundation work for two corner extensions, I'm pretty sure the go an stand founds would have gave out years ago and the stand would've fell down. Dear oh dear.
The tiger - only saying

Agree4 Disagree2

Asbestos is more common than most believe, and remains in most old buildings, only needs removed during reconstruction or demolition - two things that won't be happening to ibrox

Agree12 Disagree9

I pass ibrox every day and the sight that meets my eyes coming off paisley rd west is magnificent, comparing the main stands, ibrox to parkhead is like comparing silverburn to the briggait doug t.s.o

Agree19 Disagree6

@ No10/ Would need to see what a tarted up joint looked like first, and as for an Asbestos rubbishhole, one can only assume you are a medical consultant.
AJM.

Agree5 Disagree4

There's a picture on the net somewhere showing designs of how it would look with another club deck on the Govan stand. Looks massive.

Agree0 Disagree0

@14 one can only assume you are a rubbishter though :

Rangers made unsuccessful attempts to sign Hearts captain Marius Zaliukas, fellow defender and free agent Andre Bikey, Genk forward Elyaniv Barda, DC United striker Hamdi Salihi and Cardiff City duo Dekel Keinan and Robert Earnshaw o and transfer deadline day.

And another crock:

Hearts defender Ryan McGowan in Rangers link as he closes in on short-term deal in China

McGOWAN will sign a contract with Shandong Luneng in the next 24 hours - but could be free to clinch another big money move to Ibrox in September.
McGowan only moving on short term deal to end of their season and then able to speak to other clubs under freedom of contract, interesting stuff Ed. AJM.
