Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

From what we have at the moment, what formation and team would everyone start next season with?

I'd go for a 4-3-3

Bell

McAusland McCulloch McGregor Wallace

Law Black MacLeod

Clark Miller Templeton

Bell is a certain starter, as good as any goalie in Scotland imo. McAusland due to the fact that Foster is woeful. McCulloch (or Daly) alongside McGregor in the middle, hopefully McGregor's considerable pace will help out one of those two. Wallace automatic pick, he is our best player. Midfield I'd have Black sitting, strictly doing the dirty work and keeping it simple, allowing Law and MacLeod to create. Then up top Miller central with Clark and Templeton playing off him running beyond him getting in behind with their pace.

{Ed039's Note - What is all the big fuss with McAusland, everytime I have seen him he has done nothing?)

As I said in the post, the reason he would play is because Foster is utterly shocking, not because I rate him particularly highly. He has been solid and largely gone unnoticed in his games, that is not a bad thing for a defender.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's never been gave a chance Ed to be fair but the 2 games he started at the start of the season he never put a foot wrong. Did his defensive duties and got up the line well. Fosters been poor. I would have probably gave Peralta a chance at RB last season though. Do you know if there's any suitors for him since he wants away?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - not that I am aware, getting injured doesnt help)

Bell
? Mcgregor Gasparotto Wallace
Mckay Law Macleod Templeton
Miller Clark

Gallagher and co on the bench

Never seen such nonsense, take it your not a professional manager then mate?, mcausland is a kid, he would be destroyed, did u mention jig/Daly in middle of park? Bell best in Scotland?
We need 3 new players to survive in the league

Agree0 Disagree0

@4

Wadafa? lol

How many professional managers usually post on here anyway?

Agree0 Disagree0

And I take it you're not much of a reader then Tommy, mate? When I said McCulloch/Daly "in the middle" I quite obviously meant the middle of defence. I thought with that being smack bang in the middle of my right and left back would have given that away. That's where central defender's usually are, surely you should know that being a genius football mind (and presumably a manager since you can spot those who aren't)? Btw, McAusland is 21 years of age and has played over 30 games in the Scottish lower leagues, I think he would be just fine.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the time would be good for Jig to move to a coaching role. He'd do really well. He is getting on a bit to be pencilled in as a centre back! I agree that kids like Gasparotto and McAusland should be given a chance. How do we know how good they'll be if they aren't blooded? Wouldn't play Black, but definitely Mackay and McLeod in the middle with Law and Templeton. We do have quality in Bell and Wallace and I also think Miller will help us win the Championship. What happens after that, who knows!

Agree0 Disagree0

N7 DOIGER ime in total agreement wiith your post mate I also think you could put your hat in the ring for the rangers job as a lot us think along the same lines as you regarding the youngsters lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Tmwnn. Why don't we both apply as joint coaches? Something new! lol. Couldn't do any worse than oor Ally!

Agree0 Disagree0

Believe, I don't think McCulloch will feature much this season. I think Moshni would be in the team ahead fo the back 4 you posted. I see we open the season at home to Hearts at ibrox and play them at Tynecastle on the last day of the season. OOFT!

Agree0 Disagree0

DOIGER we would save the club a lot of money if we take up the role lol maybe bring in some new faces eh a couple of the current dutch squad

No one else think Boyd could have turned down the a contract offer from gers due to the wages, remember Rangers daft Boyd walking away due wanting £20,000/ week and being offered £18,000/ week and when Rangers offered £20,000/ week he still walked away. Remember McCoist said on live television he wanted to sign Boyd so why is it always mccoist who has walked away from these deals? What about everyone who is shouting give youth a chance and now some are shouting Clark ain't good enough sign Boyd what a joke. Clark and Miller leading the line with Daly and McGregor in back 4 with Wallace and mccausland also I woulnd leave black on bench or better still let him go

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Boyd was never offered £20k per week)

How does anyone know wot Boyd was offered, football clubs are famous for letting the press know of private negotiations, so are agents, depends who agenda it suits, never was offered 20g,
U don't get that wage in Scotland anymore,
We were famous for throwing cash around, look wot happened

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - He left when the bank where in control, the extra funds couldnt be released)

My point was. Boyd walked away from Rangers when his last contract was up due to demanding £2000/ week more than he was offered so maybe this time he has decided he doesn't want to play for maybe £2000/ week if he is being offered £2, 500 from another team so maybe it is not ally who has walked away from the deal and it could be Boyd who has walked away but what is being reported is Rangers have walked away from signing Boyd. I know people are going to come on and shout he was most likely playing for £1000/ week at killie but we are rangers fans talking about rangers football club and some of these players think they deserve to be paid over the odds to play for our team, it's a joke and I'm glad the wages are coming down the way

Agree0 Disagree0

Op I think if boyd knocked back a contract offer at rangers the board would have had it all over the news

Agree0 Disagree0

At the end of the day macoist was neve wher going to sign boyd they never got on the last ime he was there

Agree0 Disagree0

Wull61 it was the cup games where boyd never got much game time under ally I think that's where the problems started

Ed?

It has been reported in the Aberdeen Evening News paper that McCoist is not interested in Boyd.

Do you think this is the case?

I would definitely want Boyd over Miller.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - He is apparantly in talks with the sheep, McCoist may well be interested but it probably remains to be seen where his budget is at, remember Jon Daly also under contract as well as Miller)

Boyd might end up at dundee utd then him and telfer could come back to haunt us

ally got it in the neck yesterday for reports saying he had dropped interest in boyd but wait a paper is saying today that despite yesterdays report he's still interested, wonder what people who want him out will say now.

On here daily comments about the Mhedia, papers, Liewells journals. why is it then that if positive reports about rangers are printed it is deemed true and reliable but anything positive not related to Rangers or heaven forbid anything negative is deemed timmy propaganda. and Rangers should sue you really should get your heads out of the sand the media say what they have learned good or bad about all the clubs not just Rangers get the vendetta mindset out of your thinking and wait for it happening if it indeed does. . BTW the numbers on here claiming they don't and wouldn't buy or read any of the papers there is an incredible number of posters commenting on what is in these comics!

Reports today that Ally wants to sign more defenders

Agree0 Disagree0

More defenders? We don't have much of a budget as it is and we've got a couple of talented defenders in Durie's team.

Business is run on cash flow and profit and hopefully Wallace will point this out. We don't need to win this league by 39 points.
