So Lafferty has a touch like an elephant, the big donkey! I've also heard that he's like a giraffe on ice, dives like a swallow and even that he once rose like a salmon. I have never heard him described as a football player.

Shame about the equaliser but it's still all to play for over in Lisbon. The problem you've got is the dearth of options, as evidenced by the lack of subs tonight.

Gattuso to seek a move. Apparently (FACT alert), he is looking a for club that doesn't ask too many questions and turns a blind eye to myriad indiscretions. Hmmm. . .

Celtic it is then. Employ a manager who puts his hands to referee throats, squares up to linesmen. Former play Roy Keane deliberately ends a players career.
Gattuso wants back to the Gers he targeted Celtic minded Jordan.

"It will be close though, and will likely go down to the last couple of games. "

Agreed

And I pretty much agree with all your points.

It'll be close. As it always seems to be these days!

Daviet

ps and Lafferty should have been off after 70 mins. Fleck could have played behind EHD up front. .

""Just seen the Rangers team for tonight - lol, no strength in depth."

We've had no strength in depth for a couple of years and we've still won the title twice.

YOU should be afraid. Very VERY afraid!

Daviet"

Can see your argument Daviet, but I think there are a few fundamental differences this season.

1. Strachan had lost the dressing room 2 years ago.
2. Mowbray went backwards with the team last season.
3.Lennon has now moulded a team of new players into a good side that is getting stronger all the time, winning games and playing good football.
4. The number of games Rangers have to play compared to Celtic will be a factor.
5. The loss of Miller will tell as the season drags on and I think Weir is looking his age.
6. If Rangers lose a couple more key players to long term injury, they will really suffer. Celtic will cope far better in this situation due to the size and quality of squad.
7. Celtic are now a team, rather than a bunch of individuals, something that has always been a strength for Rangers.
8. Walter's retirement could have the same effect as his retirement announcement when Rangers failed to win 10 in a row.
9. Celtic have been good at Ibrox this season, something they didn't do over the last couple of seasons - I think this is always a good indicator when comparing seasons.

It will be close though, and will likely go down to the last couple of games.

No doubt I've got the green tinted specs on and you'll come back with some valid points of your own.

Diouf booked for diving - didn't take him long to learn how to be a Rangers player.

Congratulations to Walter in giving Lafferty a run in the team - he's letting us see at first hand, his great eye for a striker in the mould of Sebo, Van Vossen and Jeffers.

Can't wait for Sunday - Bring on the Rangers.

Athiest, BillyBhoy

Thanks. Appreciated.

I reckon we'll need all the help we can get. It'll be interesting to see how we handle Pedro.

I'll report back tomorrow with the score. LOL

To all fair minded Rangers fans (you know who you are), I genuinely wish your team all the best for tonights game (for all the reasons I previously stated. .possibly on the Hoops page).

For tonight at least, you ARE the most important team in Scotland. Any sort of win will do.

Wee Rino Gattuso must have thought he was back at Ibrox last night , because where else are you allowed to get away with that kind of behaviour and not get sent off , or maybe he was feeling a wee tad jealous that Rangers signed Diouf and wanted to show he was an even bigger YOB , he'll probably be back at Ibrox next season , Souness hit the nail on the head when he described Gattuso as a dog who just fetches the ball for the real players , what do you think ?

Hes made a pretty good career for a dog, Champions League winner, World Cup winner, Serie A titles. Ye, he lost the plot last night and he should be rightly punished but players have done worse over the years and still been hero worshiped eg- Keane, Cantona, Zidane, Maradona. I think people are quick to jump on the bandwagon and take the moral high ground, especially because its Gattuso with his Gers connections, suddenly the Celtic fans are screaming for him to be hung from the highest tree. Get a grip, its football, its about passion and energy and determination which Gattuso has in bucket loads. Fair enough he overstepped the mark but Joe Jordan was no shrinking violet in his day, one of the dirtiest players about and as for Souness, one of my own personal heroes, we all know he was a bit of a crack pot at times too, just ask George McCluskey or any Fenerbahce fans.
