Great times for rangers media have nothing to go on fans speculating and it's quiet on the transfer front back to the souneess days . Stevie G has done everything spot on so far good times to be a rangers fan.

17 Jun 2018 04:06:45
Media have nothing to go on? Quiet on the transfer front?

Rangers have made serveral signings already, hardly quiet. All players bar Katic the Croat have been in the papers weeks prior to signing.

MCGREGOR for captain

16 Jun 2018 22:53:23
I said the same thing a month ago. Experienced, can inspire with performances and most importantly vocal. A leader on and off the park

16 Jun 2018 23:27:18
Wouldn't be against Greegsy getting it, but I think there are still things to come and it will be interesting to see how Goldson performs. Certainly happy to leave the decision to SG.

16 Jun 2018 23:27:42
So strip the captaincy from a guy who stuck by us to the detriment of his own career. to give it to a guy who walked away for nothing? Not for me.

16 Jun 2018 23:27:58
Theres no question McGregor is a decent keeper but i'm not a fan of goalkeepers being made captain.

16 Jun 2018 23:37:47
McGregor is not a captain or a natural leader. Great guy and keeper but can’t see him as captain.

Same with Wallace. stuck with us but was less than inspirational when the chips were down and his recent antics with Miller showed poor decision making.

17 Jun 2018 00:16:26
Still reckon Alves could have a part to play

17 Jun 2018 10:54:47
Wallace should never have been the captain. Got the captaincy out of courtesy and we've suffered because of it. We've had no leader for years

17 Jun 2018 18:16:48
Personally didn't want us to sign any of the players that abandoned us with the exception of Steve Davis. That includes McGregor - and you guys want to make him captain. Very short memories!

Why not sign Naismith and make him club captain?

16 Jun 2018 20:55:26
As there's a lot of talk amongst all us bears, as to who is likely to be named the rangers captain, under stevie G, would you please run a poll for this ED? ie.

who should be the rangers captain under steven gerrard; lee wallace, james tavernier, connor goldson, allan McGregor, jordan rossiter, ryan jack or someone else? Cheers ED, should be very interesting!

Rangers Captain Poll

16 Jun 2018 19:49:28
Would also like to see us play a 352 formation.
But think we still need another Centre half as cover. A right-wingback for cover. A Defensive midfielder and two more strikers to play this formation.

Also would bring in at least 2 wingers so we could change formation if needed.

With the players we have now my team for this formation would be.
McGregor GK. Alves Goldson Katic CD. Tav RWB. John LWB. Rossiter Dorrans Arfield CM . Murphy Morelos C. F.

Subs. Fod McCorrie Middleton Jack Wallace Windass Hardie.

16 Jun 2018 20:23:33
I really have to ask what the fixation is with Dorrans. He is absolute Dug sh*te! Also we don't need 2 Dmf's in a 3/ 5/ 2 formation. Rossiter or Mcrorie as Dmf. You then need a quality midfielder to play in front of Rossiter with hopefully Wilson right and Arfield left of him. Buffalo and Solanke or whoever up front. That for me would be a team to get the juices flowing.

16 Jun 2018 20:48:30
Give Dorrans a chance! Hopefully he will stay fit and you don’t play regular in the EPL for 5 years if your a dumplin👍

16 Jun 2018 21:13:47
Yately I know he's had a few injuries but I really don't know what he offers to the team. No guille no creativity no drive no heart. I suppose SG will decide but I can't see him being a starter. Squad player at best.

16 Jun 2018 21:58:26
Wilson Solanke? We don't have them so how could I name them in my team. Also McCorrie was on the bench. It was out of him and Dorrans so went for more attacking option in midfield.

16 Jun 2018 22:04:19
I was filling in who I'd want. Likely not get them so those 2 positions need filled.

16 Jun 2018 22:20:36
I still fly the flag for Windass- love him or hate him in my opinion he can provide a more positive role this season - I still feel we need a quality striker in our team- we appear to be forming a strong spine to the team and the right forwards can win trophy's for us this season.

16 Jun 2018 22:57:05
McCrorie should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

17 Jun 2018 03:36:42
Don’t get the fuss on mcgrorie bang average player

17 Jun 2018 03:40:44
Dorrans was our best player before his injury in Pedro’s last game in charge vs Killie. He had 4 goals and 5 assists early on in the season.

Injuries and instability in the team has ruined his season. Plus. He’s being played as a deep lying CM. Never a holding mid in his life. He’s an attacking midfielder, creates and scores goals.

Just hope these reoccurring injuries are not a sign he’s finished. Not good when players passed 30 continually pick up injuries. Look at Wallace, guys been out for over half a season after a hammy strain.

17 Jun 2018 10:34:26
Mcgrorie to be fair before he got injured was outstanding but he was played just in front of the back 4, but when he came back was played c/ b partnering a dumpling like Martin which imo should never have been anywhere near the team, he just proved why Norwich didn't play him .

16 Jun 2018 17:20:30
Any news on Wing Back cover since we know Hodson isn't good enough and Tav played every game he possibly could last season Ryan Jack played RB for Scotland would he be willing to do the same for us? Is he capable?

16 Jun 2018 18:06:24
Would he be willing to? He will get told where he's playing as will anyone else! Is he capable!? Wants to get his finger out in his natural position imo! Goes without saying that he's got a lot to prove both in ability and temperament

16 Jun 2018 18:16:22
Tbh he will do hat he’s told!

17 Jun 2018 00:21:54
Very true to he honest he's been away for that long he would feel like a new signing

16 Jun 2018 16:44:30
I don't normally get into formations (probably why I'm no good at FM) but was reading S. G. likes 352. I know that's not how he had liverppol kids playing but he was told to play same as the first team. I also know there should be flexability and how to change as neccersary. The freedom this would give to Tav and John playing as wing backs would imo make a big difference and with Goldson and Katic both very mobile I think playing Alves in the centre of the back 3 would also play to his strengths.
Ok that's enough thinking for me.

16 Jun 2018 16:53:33
See so much thinking I forgot what I meant to ask. I'd like to start watching our second 11 under 18's etc. would you recommend Rangers TV?

16 Jun 2018 17:23:50
Agree blue Pete. I’d like us to experiment with 352 formation giving tav n John proper wing back roles. What I like about it means we can easily change formation to 532 if it was merited.

16 Jun 2018 19:29:52
I could easily see Docherty being able to cover Tav at RB. He has the motor to get up and down the right all day. More concerned with the left as Wallace, if he stays, is defensivly weak. John is great going forward but is a bit on the small side for a defender.

16 Jun 2018 19:59:23
I think Docherty is a cracking wee player who was unfairly treated towards the end of the season. i would like to see him giving proper coaching by the new staff. With proper coaching i think he could be a brilliant player for us

16 Jun 2018 21:37:25
Hope young Docherty doesn't get frozen out of team next season. Really have high hopes for this boy with good advice from SG and Gary Mac I think we could have a player on our hands.

16 Jun 2018 16:17:20
Heard the first few training sessions taken by the new gaffer and the coaching staff have gone well so far.

There has been a few tongue and cheek comments from some senior players regarding Gerrard pulling on his boots to show them how it is done this season. Apparently he has laughed it off but has considered it.

16 Jun 2018 16:36:41
No he hasn't considered it, he will not pull on the blue jersey

16 Jun 2018 20:05:20
Lmfao ok

16 Jun 2018 15:33:55
The Lad Aaron Mooy in Australian midfield looked awesome.
26 and currently at Huddersfield.
Man of match iny book.

16 Jun 2018 16:21:04
Did he not play with st mirren a few years ago?

16 Jun 2018 16:33:31
Yep, played for St Mirren but currently plays for Huddersfield in EPL. Was a standout performer for them last season.

16 Jun 2018 17:22:34
Ok if you got a spare £10 million to spend!

16 Jun 2018 18:09:05
Try 20 million plus

16 Jun 2018 13:56:17
Just saw pictures of Ryan Hardie got new contract but by look of him he could use a good feed! A skeletal figure of a boy, hopefully if he gets a run he does the business though.

16 Jun 2018 17:36:35
Denis Law was the skinniest of boys when he broke through at 16. Enough said.

16 Jun 2018 18:10:45
16 and 21, different ball game, don't think the lad is good enough

16 Jun 2018 22:35:35
Slim Jim Baxter was only a 26 inch waist and very slim, but my god could he play, he was a natural

16 Jun 2018 12:55:38
Things definitely on the up . for the first time since Boydy fell oot wi dave king I’ve seen him say somthing positive about us . in that he thinks Stevie will improve windass . gin yersel the pieman

16 Jun 2018 12:12:24
Saifeddine Khaoui Is contracted to Marselle until 2021 via transfermarket. co. uk also he’s valued at 4.5 million, so imo there’s absolutely no chance off this happening and if he performes good at the World Cup his price will surely rocket. On the other hand he’s a very talented player and was troyes best player last season but physically week on the ball and likely would fail in the league due to how physical it is. BUT if we sign him al back him like I’ve said with every stevie G signing!

16 Jun 2018 13:16:55
this was meant to be a reply on the rumors forum. my bad haha

16 Jun 2018 11:38:36
Ins and outs aside-2 solid strikers and a big solid centre midfielder and we can win the league. That is my opinion now. let's GO!

Review Of The Day 16th June 2018

16 Jun 2018 07:12:13
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 16th June 2018

16 Jun 2018 01:20:59
Does anybody think that Fabio Cardoso will be in Gerrards plans?

I actually think he will stay, don't believe he's had a fair crack yet, he had barely got himself settled in as a young player in a new country, the timing of his broken nose and Pedro being sacked early last season obviously didn't go in his favour, but I feel we might as well have just played him over Russell Martin. He was a waste of a jersey and not even our player.

He needs to build up his strength though, which it looked like he was doing in the gym when the players were on the summer break.

What do you think bears, stay or go?

16 Jun 2018 05:30:25
Hopefully not. His performance in 3-2 game v them at ibrox was 1 of the worst i have seen. Junior player

16 Jun 2018 08:37:20
Don’t really rate him BearMode however if SG is to be a roaring success then he will have to improve almost every player as well as get the majority of signings right. I dare say there is a player there who can succeed at SPL level with the right coaching, squad player at best for me and no more fist pumping when you win a poxy header or tackle please Fabio!

16 Jun 2018 09:41:44
Not what wee need to move to different level. Celebrated winning a header how embarrassing

16 Jun 2018 11:35:30
We can't waste time making mediocre players less mediocre we need to make young hungry players great he has to go in my opinion and bring in Harry or John Souttar and or Jack Robinson from QPR and or Cedric Kipre from Well

16 Jun 2018 14:21:51
WTF?
Cant waste time improving players that we have (if SG sees potential)

16 Jun 2018 14:57:11
I would like to c him stay still young has a good attitude who will improve with better coaching he won’t be a starter but he’s a good player to have in the squad decent on the ball so could cover at full back or cdm as well as cb
