I really don't know why people think we will sign anyone. This week is the most crucial in our great clubs history with the taxcase resuming and there will be a verdict this week although it won't be public knowledge right away.

If we win happy days and we can spend months winding up the Tims and abusing rangerstaxcase.com! Lol. But, we might lose this guys, whyte has said there is no deals with
HMRC to be done so it's a 50m bill or nothing.

What's everyone's thoughts on what will happen? Also if whyte thinks we will lose he may place rangers in administration and HMRC won't get their money, a tactic whyte is rumoured to have threatened with. I have a feeling that there will be a saviour here if the worst case scenario occurs and we lose the case, and remember this case. Luke put us in liquidation never mind administration! Jim mccol is rumoured to be watching the situ closely and has spoke to whyte. Mccol would be a great next owner and someone with 800m personal fortune after selling Clyde blowers last year for that amount. He is a gers man and even with taxbill could afford to run us like a proper club unlike whyte the imposter that he is. If nobody does step in it is time for the fans to save the club, this could be the only option. 50,000 fans pay a grand each and the club would be safe, Id do it. What's your thoughts bears?

During any insolvency process, when company assets are realised there is a specific order in which creditors must be paid by law once the Insolvency Practitioners fees are taken. The Insolvency Practitioners terms for taking fees are predetermined when they are initially appointed.

The first creditor that will receive payment is the secured creditors (fixed charge). Secured creditors have the money that they are owed secured against an asset of the company, usually the asset that they have sold the company. For examples, if a company bought a piece of machinery that they would pay for over a 12 month period, the seller could secure the debt against the machinery which would give them the right to take back the machinery if repayments weren't upheld. Another example of a secured creditor would be a mortgage lender who has security against a property

Once these are paid, preferential creditors would be next on the agenda to be paid. Preferential creditors are usually internal and consist of things such as staff wages and holiday pay claims. Before September 2003, the Inland Revenue (now HMRC) were also classed as a Preferential Creditor, they are now considered an Unsecured Creditor.

Next to receive payment would by any creditors who hold a floating charge. These occur when a debt is secured against general rather than specific assets of the company. A common example would be an overdraft where the bank has a floating charge over assets such as debtors, stock or office furniture. Floating charge assets are assets that the company would use day to day thus making it vary in value over time.

Unsecured creditors are the last external creditors to be paid. These are usually unpaid trade creditors along with any unpaid taxes (PAYE, VAT etc.) and any unsecured loans.

The shareholders are the final creditors that will be paid. Apart from in a Members Voluntary Liquidation, it is rare for the shareholders to receive anything as this would indicate that the Company was solvent on a balance sheet basis.

In other words, HMRC will get very little or possibly nothing if we go into liquidation. Alarmingly this MAY be Whytes game plan by forming a newco and clearing all debts.

I don't think it's acceptable to start again with a new name, 140 years of history down the drain! Worrying week ahead bears! Would love to win the case mind you!

Just as well we signed Aluko or else we would be more than 2 points behind, we badly need reinforcements and soon.

Aluko took alot of stick when he went to rangers but fair play to him seems a good player btw credit when it's due

I must have been watching a different game today to what some of the posters were watching?
I saw Rangers play a good game with two good goals and a pretty unlucky OG. Aluko was everywhere and had the ball glued to his feet. I don't know whats happened with him but he's miles better than I ever expected him to be.
Davis passed well and looked like hes coming back on to his game. Jela did what hes paid to do and Healy missed a sitter but looks like he could come good with more game time . Ally made a good choice subbing Wallace with Kerkar. Goian was a hero taking that kind of hit and playing on. Edu even did well.
I don't think we need to buy anyone to win the league but of course there are some pessamistic wee souls in our ranks who run around with half empty cups and wet cheeks.

Edu and Bartley have been the victims of racist abuse from a supposed Celtic fan on twitter. Lafferty also abused. I say supposed Celtic fan because unless he is caught it can't be proven.

Absolutely shocking behaviour. Edu, Bartley and Aluko have been getting racial abused for the last 2 weeks by quite a few people. Bartley and Edu have just been RT all the posts to shame them. The police are involved now. They got someone last week for racial abuse towards Bartley.

That's not what Burley said - he said Jelavic was not good enough for the Top teams in the EPL .

The man is not right in the head. Some of his comments today were beyond belief. After Jelavic scored he said Jelavic has done nothing today.

I struggle to see what McCoist sees in Kyle Bartley. He is a woeful player.

Hes only 20 yrs old and just back from injury, get a grip m8.

We wanted him back! remember august! played out of position all the time as well as having an injury

I can't get my head around it either, I thought he was excellent last year and was delighted he resigned but he's been very poor and very aggressive this season.

I wouldn't say Davis at his best again...to many stray passes. Aluko was descent...lucky to 11 on the pitch! Need to bring in at least 2 FIRST TEAM players!

Davis ran his socks off,and Aluko provided the creativity and vision for Jelavics goals.

Does running socks off win games? Nah mate!! I'm sorry to many stray passes, not enough penetrating runs/passes for me. Aluko came on in the second half

Aluco needs to release the ball quicker hes good but trys to take to many on when theirs an easier pass avalible, i dont mean that as a bad critism of the guy.

Karker hasn't been given and chance, any time he has come on he has looked alright.

Think kerkar has talent but its a unique pressure at rangers(or celtic) in that you have to show all the time n are expected to win every game were losing that mental edge with so many players off form or getting older. blueforyou.

i know wallace has done not to bad in left mid but he has done he haw the day. He is a defender not a midfielder, thus doing another natural midfielder out of a start. But you can blame walters love child for that .

no posted for a while but really feel the need to. sandaza??? really ally?? ur talkin youself out a job here, i`m totally bewildered with the dross we`r lookin at, we all know monies tight but theres better options out there if we`d get rid of the old boys scoutin network and get some decent ones in to find some decent players with a good sell on value, in fact the signings we have made need questioned too ortiz, bedoya, mckay?? never seen you scouted and chose them so y arent they playin? you want trusted with the little cash we have for players show you know what your lookin for and buying not fritter it away on mince!

Dave King joined Rangers Board of Director's as a non-executive director on 30 March 2000, he then invested £20 million into the club. In the 2000-2001 financial year (starts in April) Rangers started operating an Employee Benefits Trust. Mr Kings issues with the South African Revenue Service has been well documented(he owes them £250million)
So the point of this is- did Dave King influence David Murray(MIH) & the Rangers board to use an Employee Benefits Trust to pay the players? I may be putting 2+2 together & getting 7 but I think, considering when he got involved in the club, it's a bit suspect.
If my theory is accurate MIH, as major shareholder, could (should!) have said no.
So the responsibility for Rangers current financial situation still lies with MIH & board members from that moment in time.
Dave King is the sole director remaining from the previous regime. Why is he still there? What are his connections to Craig Whyte(the only billionaire in the world with no money!) WTF is really going on at Rangers? Any opinion welcome cos I'm f***ed if I know.

Apparently these ebt's were hawked round lots of clubs and lots of clubs used them,brian quinn the then celtic chairman (ex governer of bank of england) stopped celtic from using them as well as they seemed a good way of offsetting cash against balance sheets but being financially savvy he saw problems arising from them.our big problem is supposedly letters to players exempting them from any contributions and that a warning 5-6 years ago to get out and strike a deal with the taxman were ignored.the king issue has always troubled me and i wonder if there might be trouble ahead if he is found guilty of his tax dealings(another 20m owed?)only whyte knows the whole truth financially but i dont know anyone in the financial sector who has a clue why he bought us with the tax case hanging in the air, blueforyou.

What is his connection to the skint billionaire (Whyte)? Another question Andrew Ellis is not on the Rangers board but is a director of The Rangers FC Group Limited (the company that owns Rangers or is it Liberty Capital-the company that owns The Rangers FC Group Limited) It's all smoke & mirrors.

Celtic used EBT on two players, Hearts and Hibs also used a EBT, but all three clubs pulled out of the EBT. Dave King was interview by HMRC around 2004, I could be wrong but don't think HMRC have won a EBT, if you ask Craig Whyte is a front for Dave King, why else would he still be on the board.

Blueforyou - Reading your post, I dont understand who we could owe another 20 million to, surely you do not think it's Dave King, he invested money in Rangers. Investments are not loans, do you honestly think that someone can invest in a company and if it all goes wrong ask for the money back -
