To blu bear
I'm trying to find out his wages but there's nothing concrete on it some say he's on 20k others 10k so whatever it is I think with the takeover we can afford him.

I would guess he would cost around 1mil but I think he will be wanting not much more than 20k a week if any more plus he wants to stay in Scotland and play for the old firm so that would help in securing him for a good wage. There's an article on it on the rangers page on sky sports website if you want to take a look.

Martin Bain is running a very dangerous defence on the charges of sectarian singing, when he says Rangers are doing all they can.

UEFA could quite easily reach the conclusion that Rangers are admitting there is nothing more they can do to resolve the problem, yet the problem still continues, so the only penalty open to them is one of the extremest draconian measures.

Perhaps Mr Bain should take counsel from Paul McBride before opening his mouth. lol.

Would like to see the following at Ibrox xseason:Conway(free) pacy winger with a good cross would be a great signing

Douglio(£1.5million) need a CB and sounds like he could be another Bougy or Cuellar

Bartley(loan/ player swap) could get him permanently if we give them Boughy or Shagger

Weiss(loan) won't get on the city bench maybe even a permanent deal if the takeover happens

Eremenko(£1.3million) could be a replacement if Davis goes

A new partner for aswell maybe Goodwillie for £2million or somebody abroad we won't get them all but there will be players leaving and arriving

So i can only assume UEFA and the SFA gonna do something about the Sectarian and Political singing from the Celtic support? Dont remember so much as a mention when 50,000 Celtic fans where singing about Walter Smith being a "sad orange b**tard" yet Rangers fans are consistently persecuted by certain members of the mhedia! The UEFA delegate praised Rangers fans yet someone from FARE (who coincidently are ran by a Celtic supporter) reported Rangers fans. All we ask for is parity accross the board, seems Celtic fans can sing whatever they like whether it be Sectarian or Political yet we are dragged over the coals if we so much as look the wrong direction!

If Rangers want to rid the club of sectarian singing, the first thing that must be done is to take a responsible attitude. And that means Rangers and the so called Supporters Groups admitting that once the sectarian singing starts, it is the MAJORITY that are involved, instead of continually trying to shrink responsibility by playing "it is the minority" card. Crap, just look at the League Cup Final. The vast MAJORITY of the Rangers end were belting out several sectarian ditties.

And as for the old "we can't do any more" excuse. YES you can. You can make regular announcements on the clubs website that fans face being arrested at the game and banned. Leaflets can be handed out, announcements can be made over the tannoy before the game and after any such song is sung. And the fans can be informed that Ranger's Security will pass video evidence to Police after the game of any supporters singing sectarian songs. And if they are found guilty, they get banned from games.

So Mr Bain, there is a lot, lot more that can be done. But first of all you have to ADMIT your problem.

No probs sick bhoy, we'd thought you'd went into hiding after the CIS final, good to see everything is ok. U buying into the conspircy thory?

c-bear85

Nah c-bear, I leave conspiricies to Dan Brown, he'd probably struggle with this one right enough. I wish we could just get back to football. Good to see something positive being done about the sectarianism. Like I have said before the only song that personally offends me is the famine song, to me at my age the rest is just banter, no need to go home and kick fuk out the wife over a game of football, or all the headcases fighting in pubs etc. And before anyone starts about the famine song, I also found the poppy banner at parkhead totally out of order, wearing a poppy is a personal thing, I don't, but my wife does because her grandfather fought in the war, along with alot of other Catholic Celtic supporters and players. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, banners like that just embaress the club. Rant over lol

GovanFR, the sectarian singing was clear for all to hear during the live tv coverage. If Rangers were truely intent on eradicating it, they would take whatever punishment UEFA deem appropriate and use it show those that persist in singing that filth what will happen if they don't stop. Mr Bain has already stated that he will contest the charge. .which tells you all need to know on the matter.

Rangers Will Make Their First Signing Of The Summer As They HAVE agreed a Deal With FC Kavala for Brazilian Centre Back Douglao (Douglas Fererria).

And where is your source for this???

I would love it if Peter Lovenkrands would come back to the blue sea of ibrox and he would fit nicely in to our £20k wage structure, as hes only on £15k a week and £3k per appearance. I honestly doubt it will happen tho. Also i would love it if Alan Smith altho he is on £60k a week. (dont know how longs left on his contract of if he would come on lone tho)
Any1 any info on how we could afford to bring him 2 ibrox? Oh and the folk that say we can get carlos cuellar bk for £3-7mil don't make me laugh there is no way on earth he will come back to rangers.

It seems UEFA have taken advice from this group FARE again. A group who have absolutely no credibility whatsoever. I was at the home game against PSV and there was no sectarian singing on that night. Unfortunately there is a section of our away support who do partake in inappropriate songs so I can't say anything about the away game since I wasn't there. Interestingly the UEFA delegate at the home game reported no problems and he was from Northern Ireland so I'm sure he would have recognized any sectarian singing had he heard it. If I set up a group and just reported other teams for singing would UEFA listen to me?

Post split fixtures have been announced and there is a couple of tasty ties. I reckon we have the upper hand as most of our games are played before Celtic's 9well if we winn them obviously). Our last game is away to Killie though but hopefully its either won by then or wee McCall beats Celtic at Parkhead.

Hey guys been away for a while, still can't believe that you guys are arguing over the takeover. I have said plenty of times before that no news is good news for Rangers fans. The first official statement we will hear from either party is if the deal is complete or collapsed. Stock market rules forbid anyone connected with the deal from making any statment or comment regarding it, even notice how cagey WS is when asked about it. Breaching these rules carries severe penalties and neither party wants to get involved in that. IMO and it is only my opinion is that it is the HMRC situation holding it up, but I do expect it to go through eventually.

To JOURNO,

I remember reading the same nonsense from you at the end of march, only for Craig whyte to arrive in Glasgow for finalisation talks!

The reason it is just a rumour, is because you made it up, so away and do something constructive and stop polluting this Page with your p*sh!

Any time a read a comment signed by you, I immediately dismiss it as either someone who wants to get a reaction, or a Celtic fan trying to make themselves feel better!

If you have such good contacts on these "rumours", then why didn't you report about bougherra wanting out before he came out and said it? Why didn't you know Weiss would miss the rest of the season? And why is Craig whyte still in Glasgow in talks? Shhhhhh

Defo will not happen, Garry o'connor has been quoted in the past as saying his family brought him up in two ways, to support hibs and to never sign for Rangers! If it did happen I would be really surprised! Not good enlighten anyway, has failed everywhere he has went since hibs!

Re: The poster who wants to get rid of Celtic "minded" commentators and pundits , i suppose you would rather listen to the "totally unbiased" views of Derek Johnstone , Gordon Smith , Colin Hendry and Chick Young ? you should think before you make stupid comments , The Real Radio phone in is like listening to the Rangers news

Is that why real radio has ex Celtic player Alan Rough and ex Ranger Derek Johnstone therefore balanced. Personally don't like Colin Hendry, Gordon Smith is OK but notice one thing, all of them have a grasp on the English language Craig Burley and Charlie Nicholas don't. Chick Young is a StMirren fan.

I think the last couple of games has proven that Walter was right to spend big on Jelavic, his class is now winning us matches. On another note renewed my season ticket today and hope everyone else will be. Even if we don't have a takeover the club needs is supporters to be loyal.
