Newcastle ready to sell Vuckic with Wigan ready to pay a fee.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

13 Jul 2015 10:22:49
Do you much are they willing to pay mate?

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jul 2015 20:25:37
£49m for Sterling!
Imagine the team we could put together for that sort of money!

Believable8 Unbelievable10

13 Jul 2015 10:20:04
Imagine the bills you could pay

Agree5 Disagree7

13 Jul 2015 10:34:39
The money floating around down there is absurd, but your right mate that £49 million would certainly get us a cracking team

Agree2 Disagree1

13 Jul 2015 15:25:01
128 million gone in 3 years& you saw what that bought lol

Agree1 Disagree3

13 Jul 2015 19:18:01
You still on school holidays then TIT I see you should just use your real name like you do on the eastenders site.??

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Jul 2015 18:27:34
for all fans who keep going on about McGregor not a right back and others played "out of position" dare I remind everyone that
1 Jimmy Millar was a wing half then centre forward
2 derek Parlane was a wing half then centre forward
3 John Greig was an inside forward, then wing half, then full back
4 Willie henderson played both wings
there are dozens of examples of "playing out of position" throughout the history of football.

Players CAN adapt!! if given the chance to play, THAT is what we are NOT good at!!

Believable3 Unbelievable8

12 Jul 2015 19:37:16
Aye and John Mclelland was played at centre forward.

Agree3 Disagree2

12 Jul 2015 20:27:42
I actually think that mcgregor was really good at right back. Obviously better than what we had.
And when we went for him and Wallace as wing backs for a couple of games, those two were brilliant (well better than the other below average players!)

Agree4 Disagree3

12 Jul 2015 20:48:19
Vote for best Rangers player playing out of position must go to Graham Roberts, a natural between the sticks.

Agree6 Disagree1

13 Jul 2015 00:26:19
Wee bill

So in 143 years of existence u can come up with 4 other players who were played out of position? I don't think you can compare McGregor to the players you mention? Also why play a centre half at right back when there are plenty of right backs available? All people want is for players to be played in their natural position. Is that too much to ask? I've seen Messi make some really good tackles but wouldn't play him as a defender

Agree1 Disagree2

13 Jul 2015 03:55:15
OP

The players you list were all top grade footballers at best Scotland internationals in todays terms European level class players

McGregor was the best of an awful defence in 2nd tier of Scottish football even in his best position he is barely average

Agree1 Disagree4

12 Jul 2015 18:11:12
Patience true Bears, W&W know what they are doing, new players will be coming along very soon.
Halliday tomorrow, and I am sure by this time next week 2 MFs and a striker.

Is this just a feeling you have or do you have some inside info?

12 Jul 2015 20:02:33
A lot of impatient and sceptical bears on here.i wish some fans would get off king and warburton back.there is no magic wand here.remember we have 3 transfer windows.also for the last 3 years all I have read on here is give youth the chance. so when he does all we here is sign this player sign that player.so what is it to be?youth or spend a gazillion on players.

Agree7 Disagree1

13 Jul 2015 00:28:37
i am concerned at the lack of friendlies being played during pre season I think we will be totally unprepared for the Hibs game. Only playing 1 friendly is ridiculous I know there are some closed door games but these games aren't the same as playing in front of a crowd

Agree3 Disagree3

13 Jul 2015 10:18:31
Good point Biffo316. I would have thought we would play a couple of big name teams at Ibrox and make some easy money as well as improving fitness.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2015 18:38:28
Now are you going to believe me as I said a few days ago 3 signings imminent.
There are 2 other loan deals and possibly another striker getting serious consideration.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2015 17:48:51
How do fellow bears? Just joined and 1st post! Not a rumour just wondering what the new management team think of david Templeton? Anyone know?

Believable0 Unbelievable3

12 Jul 2015 19:55:43
Think he will be given a chance like everyone else.suppose we will find out in 11days when we play burnley.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

12 Jul 2015 16:38:00
I have faith in Warburton but as everyday passes by without a transfer, such as a striker. I get more worried that we aren't ready for hibs. Don't think Miller and Clark can cut it.

Believable11 Unbelievable1

12 Jul 2015 16:31:52
Signing Vuckic is surely a no brainer.Proven quality , relativly inexpensive, will probably increase season ticket sales as he would be a marquee signing, but the problem is DK will not spend the money. I personally do not think the team we have is guaranteed to win the Championship this season

Believable9 Unbelievable9

12 Jul 2015 16:48:23
Vukic. marquee signing? What were you watching last season? Against Premier League opposition he was remarkably average.

Agree9 Disagree3

12 Jul 2015 17:44:14
Marquee signing?More like a two-man tent signing.I'd love to see us test Hibs resolve with a bid for Allan.

Agree5 Disagree1

12 Jul 2015 17:48:27
How do you know Dave King won't spend the money? How do you know MW would even want a player like Vuckic? People on here assume Dave King isn't spending any money but its not up to a chairman to identify and sign players, they will negotiate with the other club but the manager will identify the targets.

Agree5 Disagree5

12 Jul 2015 20:31:00
Great post mate, there is a lot of negativity on here but I think a lot of it is apprehension just wanting to get a decent team together and the season underway ,but I agree with your post 100%

Gk: fotheringham
Def: macgregor, Wilson, Kieran, Wallace
Mid: vuckic, law, eustace, templeton
St:Miller, may

Believable4 Unbelievable5

12 Jul 2015 15:37:41
MacGregor isn't a right back. Why do people keep putting him in there? We need a proper right back not a centre half in there

Agree5 Disagree0

12 Jul 2015 15:38:09
what about Murdoch, Walsh,Clark, Hardie and Gallacher then? and we don't have Vuckic or May andare unlikely to get either and Eustace is not yet a done deal

Agree4 Disagree0

12 Jul 2015 16:41:51
As far as I am aware MW prefer's to use a 433 system, I think 442 in this day of age of football is far to flat, But that is just my opinion folks

Agree2 Disagree2

13 Jul 2015 08:17:52
If nicky law plays as part of a 2 man centremidfield pairing my season ticket will be sent back. He is absolutely rank at defending and attacking. Useless.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jul 2015 14:39:41
Hopefully youth players like Mackey will burst onto the team. Have not seen Mackey since the third division, In which he was class

Believable1 Unbelievable7

12 Jul 2015 15:07:29
He was pant a raith rovers last season so why would he be good enough for us now?

12 Jul 2015 12:12:12
Anyone heard how seaon ticket sales going?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Jul 2015 13:49:39

12 Jul 2015 11:27:32
No matter who we sign, can we just watch attractive ATTACKING football at Ibrox this year. One up front at Ibrox against Raith etc. is unacceptable.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

12 Jul 2015 11:43:38
Playing with one striker doesn't mean you aren't attacking tho, celtic one upfront, arsenal one upfront, etc. 442 is far too flat especially when your wingers are

Agree3 Disagree1

12 Jul 2015 11:52:34
ad have to disagree mate, most teams who play attacking football play one upfront. 3 players sitting behind the striker = 4 attack minded players

Agree4 Disagree3

12 Jul 2015 16:14:30
1 up front is the way to go if u canget it right with a proper system in place we have (celtic) progresivley got better creating more chances and with a good goalscoerer up top u can score loads so i'd go for the 4 2 3 1 hh

Agree0 Disagree7

12 Jul 2015 16:50:43
For all you tacticians out there, our one up front meant a striker left exposed and chasing long balls.

Agree4 Disagree0

13 Jul 2015 08:19:03
When did we ever play 1 up top? It was always 442 except the Celtic game. Andit was useless

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2015 10:54:36
Rangers were shocking at defending last years, so the new signing so far I am happy with. I think rangers have enough quality players already at the club if given a chance, remember we are playing in the Scottish championship next season. Walsh, McKay, Murdoch, Hardie are all good young players gaining experience and are also enough to play at this level.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

12 Jul 2015 11:19:39
Be patient and let's see the system we use. Be nice to see artacking football and not playing one up front at Ibrox

Ryt new to this does anyone feel were going threw same regime lack of signings certain promises not been followed up has any 1 heard of any striker that may come to rangers in all seriousness

Believable3 Unbelievable6

12 Jul 2015 10:50:39
Let's give it a try first stevie before we start criticising it's not going to happen overnight and the days of throwing money about are gone for us plus I don't think we need to spend mega bucks to win the championship. patience we will get there . keep the faith🇬🇧

Agree3 Disagree3

12 Jul 2015 10:52:38
I never realised how negative a support we have.
New manager in 2 weeks and we expect a complete overhaul after the mess the last lot left us in.
Would it not be worth waiting even a year but getting it right?

Agree7 Disagree4

12 Jul 2015 11:07:06
I say be patient

Agree2 Disagree1

12 Jul 2015 11:24:43
The mess the last lot left us in? Do you think we're better off now? No listing, no nomad, no auditor, no money, no squad.

Agree2 Disagree6

12 Jul 2015 11:34:37
Ok merchant of doom ABHABH. So you think we are worse off?
Listing, nomad and auditor can come.
I agree about cash and squad but we have to learn to live by our means and not go back to the Flo years hence the attention on youth - hungry and keen.

Agree5 Disagree2

12 Jul 2015 12:48:21
No one ever said a bad thing about "the Flo years" when you were buying domestic success as I recall.

12 Jul 2015 14:31:36
If you are talking about the £12 million Chelsea reserve there were plenty of us who expressed our disgust at the utter profilgacy and stupidity of this. Agreed a majority sat on their brain and will disagree with this post shortly.

Agree3 Disagree5

12 Jul 2015 08:17:59
I can't wait for the season to start, it feels like ages ago since we got humped by Motherwell and mohsni turned ufc.
Everything that Warburton and weir have done so far has been positive in my view. Not jumping into signings. Although I would love for them to make a move to get Allan in.
It will take time for the team to get settled into actually playing football, as they have been used to long ball stuff for years.
There is a 50/50 chance of getting beat by hibs in the first game as the team will take time.
P. S. We must get a new striker in St some point, a bit concerned that we haven't really heard any rumours of strikers linked!

Believable3 Unbelievable6

12 Jul 2015 09:35:33
There's been rumour of 4 or 5 different strikers to us.

Agree0 Disagree4

12 Jul 2015 10:06:12
I just don't think we should be fearing Hibs this season, I agree its a 50/50, really depends on who turns up, I can't see there being much between the 2 teams this season, however, I hope there is, with us being on top ;-) Allen would be a massive coup if we pulled it off! big addition for us, big loss for hibs. A striker is a major priority for us! I just don't think we have the fire power at the moment to win the championship.

any Suggestions with regrds to strikers folks?

Agree1 Disagree4

12 Jul 2015 10:19:42
onlyshowaround Aye? Who pal?

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Jul 2015 10:36:42
WE have Clark who we already know can score 30+ goals a season in this league with the correct management, Miller, Hardie, Gallagher who are all strikers. Temps and Shiels can also play as a striker. What we need is someone in the middle of the park to control the game. Law doesn't do that for me, Murdoch is too inexperienced and frankly, I can't think of anyone else! Ramsay looked brilliant for the U20's

Agree3 Disagree0

12 Jul 2015 10:42:06
From what i've heard, Lafferty, Stevie May, A plymouth player, and an ex west ham currently Bolton player, wish I could remember the names. I'm sure there are 2 more players aswell with that list.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2015 11:10:10
There been rumours of Stevie May and Rubén Reid of Plymouth that's 2 that I heard they where interested in and maybe a Dutch boy am sure a read somewhere!i believe they management team r aware of our need for a striker am sure they will address it!

12 Jul 2015 01:59:06
where are all the lafferty posts coming from?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

13 Jul 2015 11:55:04
he should never be allowed back

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2015 00:52:33
Why would we want players like lafferty
He wasn't good enough the first time so why would we want him now
We need young mobile players who want to fight for a win and show some pride not would be superstars
All the players we have signed so far will hopefully do a job for us
As for dave king he will come good
It's not just about signing players
Yes that's important as is winning the league
But so is rebuilding the structure of the club
And getting us back to where we should be won't happen overnight
Have faith and we will succeed

Believable8 Unbelievable5

11 Jul 2015 23:04:23
So tired of the constant negativity. I swear over half of the posters on here want to see rangers fail. Too many people expect us to sign a ridiculously high standard (and amount) of players. People are already running down our management team, one of whom has been tipped as a future England manager and the other a rangers legend. The 3 signings we've brought in are of a much bigger calibre than we had last season. Give them a bit of a chance, it's not even half way through July!

P.s some of you guys are expecting players who would have been beyond our each 4 years ago never mind now. Never met such negative fantasists.

Believable9 Unbelievable9

12 Jul 2015 03:40:00
Do you get negative fantasists?I thought a fantasist was someone overly positive.I rate Warburton highly, but future England manager?Reads a bit like fantasy to me.
