Who takes over if Warbs is sacked?

Weir? McInness? Magath? Tommy Wright? Frank De Boer? Nuno Capucho? Pepe Mel? Mick O'Neill? Billy Davies?

FdB would be too ambitious and expensive for our board but that would be ideal for me. Musn't be Weir or Davies for me. Wouldn't mind Tommy Wright or a foreign option like Magath.

What do people think?

Only man for it is Walter and if he didn't fancy coming out of retirement i'd plump for Big Eck as i think he's had a wealth of expeiriance behind him since he left in 2006 and would b a better manager 2nd time around.

Davie weir!? The same statue that stands behind warburton every week looking as lost as he does, no thanks.

Big Eck was a disaster after he left the Scotland job. An absolute disaster. Earth won't come out, also no long term plan behind appointing a 68yr old.

I find it quite incredible with some of the names mentioned! Our defence is appalling yet Weir is proposed. What exactly is he doing just now! Then we have Davies, God forbid that our Board stoops so low! And Walter, a guy who has retired and had the audacity to recommend McCoist! Or big Eck who was a disaster once the quality players left. We even hear McInnes named mentioned. He had three seasons when Celtic had their worst manager for many years and we were not in the league and he couldn't win the league.

Celtic have set the minimum level that Rangers must go for with their appointment of the exLiverpool guy. If we can't do that then we might as well stick with what we have, otherwise we will simply become a joke. Maybe before we start looking at a new manager we should take stock of what we have and what our financial resources are! If King and Co., can't deliver the financial investment needed to get us back to the top then can they find someone that can deliver that investment or do they accept that we will trail in Celtic's slipstream for seasons to come!

We've not got time for a long term plan. All this crap aswell abt his age is just nonsense. Walter, Sir Alex guys like that no every trick in the book. he was 61 when he came back last time and won 3 titles and reached a uefa cup final.

02 Dec 2016 06:40:55
Long term plans do not exsist anyway. we either have a guy like just now who we want rid of and in all probabilty will prob drive out or a guy whos a rip roaring success who would get poached off uss from a team down south. we're never going to have a manager for 8-10 yr so i don't get all this long term plan guff.

02 Dec 2016 06:44:24
Tbh i wasnt a big fan of eck 1st time round but i think he would be better for his experiances abroad and down south regardless how unsuccessful he was. he knows how to tweak tactics/ formation and let's not forget he won 2 titles and a treble against the best Selik team in the last 40yrs.

02 Dec 2016 06:51:03
TOMUSA what the hell does Walter putting Ally up for the job matter? Sir Alex pushed the Man U board to go for Moyes and look how that worked. everybody seems to b getting wrapped up in this "long term" "Barca tika taka" "keep possession" nonsense these days. Just get back to old skool, play to your strengths and do anything u can to win a football match. there's more than 1 way to skin a cat lads.

02 Dec 2016 07:07:27
McInnes for me.

02 Dec 2016 07:34:14
Where's Felix.

02 Dec 2016 08:01:09
I honestly would only maybe take mcinnes.

02 Dec 2016 08:02:06
you are stuck with MW till he decides he's had enough as you haven't the funds to sack anyone, buy anyone etc, PS, can walter smith not enjoy his retirement?

02 Dec 2016 08:38:51
I am only. mentioning names connected, I don't want McInnes, Weir or, God forbid, Davies.

02 Dec 2016 10:33:03
Dont worry bhoy i don't think Walter would take it on again.

02 Dec 2016 11:41:45
do you not think this is part of your problem tho bluedie? Whenever the going gets tough for you its always look to the past, or get real rangers men in. there was an investor from the states that wouldve done a lot more imo than the rangers man you all championed for.

02 Dec 2016 13:11:34
I want him because he's the best man for the job not because he's a real rangers man. if that was the case i'd b shouting for Barry and Bob from clyde but i'm not that gullible mate.
