Lescott utter garbage? Nonsense! He's got bags of experience and won't get pushed about like Kiernan and Wilson. He will do very well in spl. A great reader of the game, people say he has no pace but neither did Franco Baresi! He wisnae bad! A good defender reads the game and he can do that just fine. Miles better than we have currently! that's a fact!

Doesn't need pushed around mate. Has the balance and composure of a newly born Giraffe. His reading of the game is actually awful too, ask any Villa fan. Also, his attitude is questionable at best. But why not compare him to Baresi! Sigh.

On a more positive note, I'd take Senderos, reliable with the ball at his feet, Warburton mentioned he looks technically sound in training, and good in the air!

Most players seem to be a joke to villa fans ED. Let's judge the guy after he plays a run of games. I would take him over Wilson and Kiernan any day!

Everybody deserves a chance he was crap for villa maybe west brom maybe at man city he was fine whos to say when he pulls the blue jersey on for us he might be good judge him then not when he hasn't even kicked a ball for us.

{Ed001's Note - Hill is a totally different kind of player, he has never really had pace to lose, Lescott relied heavily on his pace. At their best Lescott was better, Hill has always been on the verge of Premier League level in England, but not quite there. When Lescott had pace, he was clearly Prem level. Now though, Lescott is getting a career on past glories, rather than current abilities. It is not just that his legs have gone and he is fading, it is his lack of desire that has seen him fail so badly at the club he supposedly supports, Villa. Hill, on the other hand, has always had to fight and has the hunger, just lacked the physical attributes to be top level.}

ed can u answer me this no one seems to have an opinion on it . would u rather take back bougherra for free and have his pace and proven knowlage of the Scottish game?
I would take him and offer 1 million to get kyle bartley from leeds I think he plays for now to good defenders one with a sell on value if he does well and one with the experience and heart to lead the defence.
