If its a straight choice between the two goalies we're being linked to signing which one would we prefer fellow bears, david bentley v michael mcgovern? Both out of contract and available for nowt! They both are very good goalkeepers!

Bentley for me, a think Wes is as good as McGovern. Bentley would be no1.

Bentley. He's worth 3-4 million down south development fee. We would only pay 250 grand max. Supposed to be the real deal.

2 goalies would fit the mould and capable. whoever wants to play for the gers gets my vote.

Both would oust Wes as number one and while McGovern is a very good keeper, Bentley is a very good keeper with a significant sell on value!

Longer term and for value bentley but mcgoverns really in his prime and i think he could be be a great gers goalie for the next few years. Both will have other good offers i think though.

McGovern came through Celtic youth, so i wouldn't be totally confident with him in between the sticks in an old firm match, Bentley for me.

Bentley is fantastic and will only get better. Everyone in Southend wanted him to stay.
