Re tav for Scotland, while technically he's qualified the home nations have a agreement not to use the players who qualify that way, pity he would be a upgrade on o, donnell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep border, ineligible under the home nations agreement. Amazing the amount of people who believe he csn be capped for us.

14 Nov 2020 13:28:17
Why have they an agreement as he has no chance of ever playing for England.
That holds players back in terms of international football.

14 Nov 2020 13:32:18
He’s not Scottish and should be nowhere near our national team.

14 Nov 2020 13:38:11
Agreement? Or signed legally binding contract? F*** the agreement. England have players born in Nigeria and god knows where else playing in there team. The Irish have English and Scottish playing for them. The Welsh have English. Why can’t we have an Englishman who will never play for england and is now a qualified Scotsman in any other sport. Honest tae god any chance I have in sport must be taken. Tav would be immense in that right wing back role. Immense. He gets international football and we get a truly top class footballer that we otherwise would have very average journeyman players. It’s a no brainier. Forget the agreement and think of no1. Get it done.

As if the agreement wasn't in place it would be free reign for England to snap any generational talent that comes through Scotland and Wales. Could have tried to nick Bale for example, if Gilmour keeps improving they could nick him.

14 Nov 2020 13:48:50
Ingerr, anyone with an ounce of morality don't just " fxxk the agreement mate, no no no, you don't sit down and thrash out an agreement then do what you want, Scotland would be crucified for that, and I fir one would feel Scotland had just stabbed everyone in the back, no no no an agreement is an agreement and should always be adhered too.

14 Nov 2020 14:02:40
Bale wouldn’t want to play for England though he’s a proud Welshman same as giggs had no interest in playing for England. Gilmour won’t want to play for England either unlike some on here he recognises he’s Scottish. The young boy dembele has been playing for Scotland and England slouch seems to be leaning towards England. If any young kid chooses to play for england Ireland Wales or Scotland then that should be they’re prerogative not some blazers agreement from 10 years ago. U can do it in any other country. Russia had a Brazilian right back. Italy France Holland Spain have all used this to there advantage why not Scotland Jesus Christ man we moan were not an entertaining team or were rubbish then take a moral high ground when all the best nations in world football and most lesser ones aswell use this rule to there advantage it’s idiocy to give others advantage and not accept the same for ourselves. No wonder weee sh***.

14 Nov 2020 14:28:51
But who made the agreement Tom? A couple a blazers how many years ago? 10-15? So the professional player like tav or anybody for that matter doesn’t have a say in there own lives? That stinks for me. The rule should at the very least be looked at again. With the pfa having a vote and a seat at the table. As I don’t think the players would agree to said “agreement” mate. Players should have the freedom to do there job to the highest of standard in the toughest of environments the same wat we all do. if u qualify u qualify. Not for a blazer to decide. Not for me. F*** the blazers 👊.

So ingerr, it has NOTHING to do with being Scottish then, again if Scotland was too break an agreement I personally would be finished, I don’t kn If your really Scottish if you don’t care where the players come from, I only want Scottish players, or the team isn’t Scottish, simple as that, , the parents rule was different, this is ridiculous, if you are born in England, of English parents, you’re probably English.

14 Nov 2020 14:41:37
It’s bs and sir rock that’s your opinion and entitled to it but Lyndon Dykes ain’t Scottish so should he not be playing?

14 Nov 2020 15:01:26
Am very Scottish Tom down to the saltire on my back and the blood in my veins mate. The thing I’m a realist aswell and if every other country in the world are doing it. then why shouldn’t we. the residency rule is a real factual part of sport now and therefore should be looked at on an individual basis and if worthy used to our advantage. of course I want 23 Scots and a Scots manager aswell mate, same a single do, I’m not saying your oppinion is 100% wrong. But we need to take advantage of the rules the same as all the previous stated nations, some of whom are the best in the world, do. Do u want to play at a disadvantage just so u can sit on the high horse on top the moral high ground and be proud to be sh** times change Tom mate we need to change with them.
