Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

Clearly Rangers's attacking style was shown to be fallible, the full backs were to high & Halliday was isolated. Warburton has done well but its a work in progress.

I see a distinct lack of "beef" in the Rangers squad as one of the main issues.

26 Sep 2015 10:04:48
the man has only had roughly 4 months in the job and had to start from scratch when he came in there will be setbacks but he had no idea what he was coming to.

26 Sep 2015 16:17:40
Boyd has beef, harkins and eremenko to.. should we sign them ? No way.

26 Sep 2015 19:06:29
Or try and tempt Steve Bull out of retirement?

27 Sep 2015 08:29:11
You are spot on BigWull. Guys, gie us all peace. Mark and Davie are just in the door. They have transformed the place in such a short time. We're enjoying the football for the first time in years. All right we will lose goals with this set up but the way I see it we can only get better as everybody becomes familiar with each others play. Keep believing!

25 Sep 2015 17:22:54
Afternoon bears, i hope rangers win with style on Sunday as there seems to be to many haters out there enjoying that we got beat on Tuesday night. I mean don't get me wrong the 3 points will do for me but I hope they go out and batter Morton and send the fans home happy lol R.T.I.D

25 Sep 2015 19:50:12
The haters have never and will never go away, we've moved on but should never forget what they all tried to do to us, each and every one of them. I agree we need a good performance and 3 points. follow follow!

26 Sep 2015 04:13:22
We come on here to give you the real information. Not the dross you get in the press. We can't believe how gullible you are.

26 Sep 2015 09:10:57
Don't understand why folk are so upset at getting beat. At the end of the day it was a cup game surly everyone realises that anything can happen.

I think the fact that the SPFL team upped their game and played so tight at the back shows the respect they had for our team with their tactics.

Bigger teams than us get beat by really small clubs etc so I think we need to take it on the chin and get on with it.

A cup game is never going to the best platform to base our ability to compete in the SPFL. Once we are playing regularly against these types of teams is when we should be properly judged.

Get back to supporting the team guys

26 Sep 2015 10:44:50
Well said Camoo, at the end of the day, Aberdeen got beat by the hibs, and they ain't panicking. the League is the priority, cups can wait (except the challenge cup, we need that at least once well we've been down here)

26 Sep 2015 08:13:05
Marty, I'm sure we'll manage just fine without your incisive and perceptive thoughts on our ongoing predicament

26 Sep 2015 17:25:18
Well said seeker, sick and tired telling em leave it to us and worry about your mob.

26 Sep 2015 17:55:37
Martyboy,
Everything must be rosey in the east end NOT.

25 Sep 2015 16:03:58
Bigwull the teams you mention may not have same record as us but we are playing part timers

25 Sep 2015 17:54:56
But you can only beat what's in front of you so pointless post

25 Sep 2015 19:08:01
aye there players are paid megabucks along with there transfer fees we are playing in the league we are in they are playing at there level ain't no difference

25 Sep 2015 15:50:44
So the defeat to St J is over, on Sunday we play the team I think will give us a run for our money.
Morton have slowly, like Hibs, been getting into gear ----- let's hope we can put the brake on them (no mechanical pun intended)

25 Sep 2015 17:14:49
Not bothered about the St J game anymore. We are still 2nd best team in Scotland, and here's how. Aberdeen beat celtic, Hibs beat Aberdeen, we beat Hibs twice and St J beat us. Therefore we are unofficially the second best team in Scotland behind St J. Lol.

25 Sep 2015 08:37:51
i am disappointed to see so many negative posts manchester city, man utd, chelsea, aston villa, liverpool, sunderland, newcastle and even celtic have all spent fortunes on transfers and none of them has a record of wins that we have heavens above we have 10 or 11 new players, new management team, new board of directors. what more can they do? to me with all the changes etc., we have done tremendous, so think before you make so many negative comments.

25 Sep 2015 13:44:25
Bigwull, I think the posts, after the mid-week defeat, have been pretty reasonable considering we had set ourselves up for a mighty fall. Being totally honest, we can go back to building a team for the future and being reallistic about our progress.
My concerns are not about the team, but that is for another page.
The one thing I would like to see is someone to play just in front of the 2 centre-halves, allowing them to spread to cover the 2 full backs when they charge forward. I wouldn't restrict their attacking runs, I would give them cover. But I have no doubt that Messrs. Warburton and Weir don't need any help from the likes of me.
St Johnstone, played tight at the back and broke quickly, enabling them to expose gaps in our defence. The goal from the corner was just poor marking.

25 Sep 2015 19:11:31
billy i agree but with the warburton plays he sets out to attack and score goals unfortunetly because we play high up the park we will lose goals but warburton has his methods and we must let him carry them out

25 Sep 2015 22:46:17
Are you all forgetting the final score was 3-1, and could have been 4-5 down in 1st half, hibs could easily have won league game if they had taken a couple of chances they had. I like people being optimistic & positive, but turning a blind eye, or burying your head in the sand is plain stupidity.

Memaself
You could be describing every game. I recall a couple of Europa League ties last season at home when your side could have taken a right pumping each time had it not been for your goalie. It will always be a game of what ifs. What if Waghorn had scored with a header when it was 3-1?

If we had gone on to win 4-3 would anybody have complained given that we pummeled them for almost the full 45 minutes. I heard Jim Duffy ( a big Celtic man) on the radio last night say he thought Rangers played well against Saints and could quite easily play in the top flight with the current side. He went on to say that Gers were way ahead of anyone in the Championship and while he was hopeful of getting something on Sunday, he was being realistic about Morton's chances. Hard to argue imo

26 Sep 2015 10:10:27
memaself you're right but we hit the bar, waghorn missed a great chance with the way we play we will lose goals but hopefully we will score more than we will lose. the morton game on sunday will be difficult, it's a narrow park and morton will be in our face but we just have to get on with it.

26 Sep 2015 14:29:18
Bigwill yes your right, the point I'm making is exactly that, if rangers where in the spl this season with this team, and this management with those tactics, they would be lucky to finish the season in top half with the gung ho tactics.
Seeker whatever, your exactly the gullible supporter the scammers love, follow party line slaughtering anyone who has an opinion, surprised you don't finish off your comments with watp.

I just think there is no need for us to panic here. I've maybe watched two or three Tim matches since we were demoted and in every one of them your team has been rank rotten, only relying on a mixture of luck and good goalkeeping

Let me preface this by saying I'm really happy with what has happened at Rangers since the new board took over. I really do believe they will back us, financially, when necessary. They have the level of backing, player wages, transfer deals and loans perfectly in our current position.

My big worry is the, apparent, lack of movement in setting up a proper scouting system. I really hope its all "ducks", calm on top but working feverishly underneath, but the longer it go with no announcement the more worried I get.

25 Sep 2015 10:02:57
I now think we change the system to goalkeeper....3 centrbacks spread across width of 18 yarder.2 wingbacks mainly attack8ng as they have been so far.3 in midfield aga8n spread across width of 18 yarder as we have our wingbacks for width also 2 strikers to interplay instead of waghorn running out wide all time
foderingham
Wilson keirnan ball
Tavernier wallace
Zeladom halliday holt
Waghorn miller
With oduwa.mackay possibly replacing zeladom and holt so the system would be 3.2.3.2.our back 3 and keeper designed to keep it tight and to let other players to express themselves.tavernier and wallace would be less inclined to get back so we would have a even quicker counter attack as soon as we get ball back.when our wingbacks do get back kiernan and halliday can both move up pitch slightly
