Reading a post earlier from a member of the head in the sand bears club.
It stated let's give ally till September to prove his worth.
WHAT IN THE HELL.

What more does ally have to do to prove he isn't good enough to manage rangers.

As reported we have one of the highest wage bills in Scotland, but cannot even compete in the ramsdens cup ( meaning last years campaign)
This year we have all ready been knocked out of 1 cup.

If we had to give him 1 more year what would be your expectation of this club mine are.

Div champions
Scot fa cup, has to reach quarters.
Ramsdens cup, has to win.

For me this is a must. Sick of hearing let's give till. Then when
Till comes its, let's give till. The spfl is getting nearer and I for one do not want ally managing us then.
What do you think?

REALITY CHECK

Believable0 Unbelievable0

@op you've just wrote how this season is going div 1 champs ramsden cup winners and at least the quarters if the Scottish cup so ill be happy when we win this lot so I take it you are with giving him another year listen why are all fans not more concerned with the boardroom than ally and the team and you've got the cheek to say other fan have got their head in the sand absolute hypocrite so you take your head out the sand

Agree0 Disagree0

The draw for the scottish cup will be vital if Rangers are to get that far. Ally needs a lucky draw to get anywhere near there although I thought Forfar was a favourable draw and looked what happened

Agree0 Disagree0

He should've been sacked after the queen of the south defeat last season, losing to forfar was the last straw for me, he shouldn't have needed the 8 new players to beat forfar, it was a disgrace of a result.

Agree0 Disagree0

You need the reality check!
It is time to get behind the Manager he is not going anywhere this season.
Time to start supporting your team!

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster is just stirring it. It is obvious from his post he knows diddly squat about football matters. Otherwise he would not have come up with such a stupid post. He will not be posting anymore by seasons end, when Ally's team are free of restrictions and encumbents and win the league playing good, exciting football

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read an article in the Ibrox Noise with a breakdown on where the £22 million from the IPO went. £10.7 million on players and staff wages- and that is only 7 months FFS!! - Super Ally- well done mate

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 you can still support the team but not think the manager is good enough for the job. Yes he will win the league but that's only because he has spent a ridiculous amount on wages to ensure it. A much better manager would have done the same job on a fraction of the cost. Am not convinced he will win the Ramsdens cup and no chance for the Scottish cup

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 probably most wages on directors and consultants, so nothing to do with ally

Just over two million shares traded in one hit today. that's £840k in cash. Who could sell given that most of the big investors are tied in till december, but more importantly who would spend that at this time? Very interesting don't you think.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What you will find is shares priced at this level swap hands on a daily bases as they are cheap and money (hundreds rather that thousands) can be made on them. You sometimes find that theses shares have several owners within hours and days. They work on the theory of quick sell and minimum profit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think about this. Someone of stature makes a statement last week that rangers will be in administration by Christmas. This comment suppresses share value and allows said individual to start gather free market ordinary shares unti he has control. Voila our club in the hands of a real rangers man who lost £20million thanks to SDM. Oh and when will he have his knighthood stripped.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1/ That kind of dealing would not apply to Rangers mate. The shares have been declining since the IPO. This is a power grab probably by Greens consortium

Agree0 Disagree0

@1) you saying someone risked buying 2 million of rangers shares the way things are at the club right now in the risk of making a very small percentage on their outlay, behave, these have been purchased for one individual or investment group.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2: give it a rest with all the 'real Rangers man' nonsense. Whyte was supposed to be one of those, remember. The man you're referring isn't exactly a shining example of financial correctness either, given the charges in SA. And what should Murray have his knighthood tripped for? What's he done that's illegal?

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 the easedales? They are real rangers men aren't they! Love this "real rangers men" saying! From the outside it appears the only thing lower the real rangers men is shark s****! Are it not the "real rangers men" who refuse to tell you what is going on at the club? Yeah they are something to really look up to aren't they!

Agree0 Disagree0

What percentage of the club does whoever bought the shares own

Agree0 Disagree0

@7 3% . .

Agree0 Disagree0

Regards dave king's rangle with the SA tax authorities. Before condemning him, people should really have a look at what really went on. They we're after a helliva lot more than he was due to pay. He presented evidence of his tax liability, taken from the tax authorities own documentation and contested thier new demands that included a gigantic increase. In response, he had his accounts frozen for over 4 years and was threatened with criminal charges. The SA authorities behaved despicably and Dave king had the courage and integrity not to back down.

Is the shortfall in funds because we have no Ticketus deal (same as any club who use them) and no overdraft. Bearing in mind these two are usually in place for any other club, why all the criticism of the club when we are trying to live within our means without owing money to Ticketus or the bank?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Trying to live within our means my erse!people are intitled to criticise mate we don't want to end up like before plus look at all the folk that where let down by rangers finances before company's lost loads a money then we r out paying decent money to new players!we don't want to be in that problem again so understandbly folk are a bit worried

Agree0 Disagree0

To a certain degree I agree, there are few clubs in Scotland who have anything near that in the bank, but the problem is that we are obviously losing money if £22m has disappeared since January.

Agree0 Disagree0

So its not blowing thirty plus million pounds spending that's the problem its the fact nobody is extending credit to enable spending more? You should be the rangers finance officer. Perhaps you are?

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems to be a lot of people prepared to trust Stockbridge's figures. Why? Until audited accounts are out he can say anything is in the bank. Why cany Ally ask to see the account on behalf of all fans. He could then confirm that amount is there and the club can move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Were not if you read the list again

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 it's not ally's place to do that but am sure it would be a duff statement like the folder with the deeds to ibrox and Murray park

Agree0 Disagree0

I think mr Stockbridge is being a bit economical with the truth here!

The electricity issue happened because the club changed to another supplier and the meter readings where incorrect and caused an overcharge, now the initial payment was made by the club and I believe the overcharged amount was credited back to the club, so I don't think he personally made any payment, also as you correctly state Malcolm Murray was said to have made a similar payment? Not sure about that but I think Stockbridge is trying to get some morale support as he is under serious pressure and he is just trying to justify his position

He should be showing the fans and investors where all the cash has gone and never mind showing "snapshots" of the IPO money, listen a child could quite easily made that list up we need to see a complete breakdown of the outgoings.

Why does he not tell the fans how much has left the club through contractors and consultants?

Why does he not tell the fans how much he makes from the other three companies linked to rangers?

Why does he and the financial controller at Ibrox not just RESIGN!

Why does he not just forgo the bonus payment completely instead of getting it deferred and getting it paid further down the line!

Why does the rangers PR department not try and address some of these issues and specifically mr traynor after all that is his job ( very expensive job)

Why won't the clubs HR department start asking some serious question regarding the conduct of some senior and middle management staff? ( oh forgot they are heavily involved in the whole saga)

When will the fans get to ask board members the 50 questions and get honest answers?

Agree0 Disagree0

Read in one of todays papers
that stockbridge produced a
personal bank statement to show
that he paid the electric bill for
august 2012 from his own pocket
did Malcolm Murray not say he
paid same bill when he left?
billy h

Walter told Dave King that he couldn't believe the share transfer shenanigans that have been going on behind the scenes. Bearing in mind the original investors are all locked in, there are share transfers that have been bought and sold under the counter but can't be registered until December. Some of the institutional shareholders have had their shares purchased back to keep them quiet. So, who owns what will not be clear until December. That's why Green is upbeat about the EGM, his team's voting shares that they control are actually higher than those published.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well Easdales didn't get directorship on a promise did he? He must have stumped up and a contract written for transfer of shares and contract and shares Certs in his lawyers safe probably.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would you hand money to Chico without receiving the goods and only receiving an IOU or promise to hand over the shares?

Agree0 Disagree0

Money will be escrowed on any deal with Chico, so a contract could definitely be in place.

the way our club is been run is a joke been at most games for around 30 year and this isn't our club its not anywhere near the standard our club is know for and the class of the way we went about our business. we have always been very well respected in the football wold. and these so called rangers men who didn't buy our club in the first place don't deserve any off it either. mccoll is worth 1 billion and he couldn't save our club when we needed him and now wants to act like a hero no chance don't want him involved either

Believable0 Unbelievable0

To be fair to McColl, 30,000 Bears paying £200 each would have raised £6m to buy and save the club last summer. Only 12% of the shares have been purchased by fans since. So difficult to accuse him of only spending £2. 80 on 4 shares when clearly the majority of Bears haven't even bothered to support the Club by buying shares. Double standards.

Agree0 Disagree0

It really never was classy at all. SDM bought it on debt reportedly and then run it on huge debt. Someone on another site said it has always technically been insolvent since the day SDM bought it. Spending more every single year than income. It was just good at hiding the spiv tricks. Like the EBTs.
There's still secrets, the damage would be more if released than the damage to green so they're keeping schtoom.
I also don't believe Jabba has a job just because he's writing greens book. He probsbly knows something. How many books has Jabba written? Why choose him?
Is most of Green's antics just drama for his book? Leaving, coming back?

Agree0 Disagree0

@op why does everybody say that mccoll did nothing him and smith and others made a bid so what are talking about has everybody got a short memory they came in with a bid but green admits himself that he shafted whyte who appointed d&p who in turn excepted greens bid because of whyte now even the kj at the dr is even saying that no matter how much money any other consortium had no chance even if they wer offering more than green it was a 1 man auction also the story in the dr states that the deal to buy ibrox and mp was all ready complete before we wer knocked back for the cva it states the stinks for d&p to even have an exclusive deal for green to buy assets before the oldco was even liquidated

£750k a year. no wonder Ally doesn't do walking away. You would have to drag me out, roughly £2000 per day. every day. I'm a labourer and work 6 days aweek for £2000 a month.

You forgot the bonus too and those shares he bought.

For a penny a time.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP that's it, your a hard workin punter who would give his all to save your club, but there are those within the club who are taking massive ammounts of your money out to line their pockets. Sorry Ally you should be paying Rangers 750k for the privilage of manging them.

Agree0 Disagree0

1.2 million if you add his bonuses.

He's REPORTEDLY on 750k. That will include a bouns. Doubt it's that high tho. WS was on around 300k so really doubt AMC is on more.

No wonder rangers are loseing money if ally gets 750 grand a year. what a waste of money. Terry butcher would do a better job for 400 grand a year and the football would be a lot better

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish comment there's not another man in scotland would have suffered what ally has ffs give the man a break and judge him in september

Agree0 Disagree0

@ all mccoist never walked in and said right a want this he was given those terms by whoever sanctioned it also no person in their right mind would say aw hold on that's to much @8 aye that's how rangers have lost 30 mill because mccoist has had between 1mil-1.5 mil reportedly and also how do you know big terry would do a good job for 400k that's the problem with us fans we wer quick to jump on mccoist and the players backs last season now some are moaning about having to many new players that's how we are in this mess because we are so easelly divided why not everybody just unite and get the board to f**k because ally and the new players are the least of our worries Charles green has played divide and conquer and he's had his time now we need stand united against the board nobody else the rest can be sorted if we still have a club left

More of a question than a rumour.

If we have £10m in the bank, do Rangers not have a banking facility that allows them some sort of overdraft?

Surely a business this size could get good banking arrangements now we are floated on AIM and have cash in the bank?

Jason

Believable0 Unbelievable0

? We bank with Metro bank, unknown and no branches in Scotland. and no overdrafts.

Having run up debts of £100-200m. no bank would touch us.

Agree0 Disagree0

No, Rangers cannot secure a credit line anywhere. We were recently liquidated, remember? Give it a few years of being in the black, perhaps then. For now, we're on our own.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has the penny still not dropped. You are a newco with no accounts. And before that you went bust owing millions. No chance of an overdraft.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please explain 100_200 million.

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly we wer not 100-200 million in debt nowhere near it, we won the tax case remember? Like has been said we will not get an overdraught for years yet and frankly the longer we go without it the better. my concern is this. if 22million is the running costs for a year in division 3 how can we afford to survive with all the new players wages we have taken on in division 2 with only 10million left?

GOVAN BEAR

Agree0 Disagree0

150 to 200 million, hmm someone's using the Better Together calculator.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 was the whole amount of debt not 148m and 75 or more was the big tax case

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers are in good company with Metro Bank

On 2 May 2013 the Daily Telegraph reported that, following a loss of £8.8 million in the first quarter of 2013, Metro Bank's pre-tax losses had exceeded £100 million in less than three years since its launch.

Agree0 Disagree0

IF there's ten million in the bank!

Folks have calculated that lasts to end December. What if its porkies? What if there's only £8m or £7.5m? That means cash runs out mid November? What if there's £5m? Without accounts nobody knows. Is Stockbridge and mates gen up truthful guys?

There is no overdraft facility and as a newco the interest rates Metro charge will be higher than any other bank.

and may I remind you, "The big tax case" is still under appeal.

Agree0 Disagree0

BTC amount is still listed in list of creditors for oldco as it is still the subject of an appeal by HMRC, so BDO are required to include it at this stage and any dividends to creditors would have an element ring fenced towards BTC until such time as the debt/appeals have been finalised.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Said this 2 or 3 months ago what did I get for it absolute sh*te if it's upto the fans to save Rangers this time well il tell you all something we are royally screwed because there's not enough of us who actually give a f*ck to do anything about it!

Am afraid unless the likes of Mr McColl puts in some serious money then it's administration again and a 25 points penalty I think which would make promotion almost impossible with Ally in charge.

I know it would be galling to hand over money to Green but for a BILLIONAIRE it shouldn't be too painful not if you're a true Bear and let's face it he would go down in our history the way Fergus did with Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed Larky, to many people who just talk a good game.

Im actually shocked at the amount of fans who don't have a clue. They're still banging on about additional signing's, easily duped by Green's nonsense, as long as they can go on a sat then they don't care. They wouldn't really care if the Gers got into mega debt, happily watch other hard working fans fleeced for cash by Green, Stockbridge etc.

Im a strong supporter in getting guys in who care about the survival of the club and not just there for a quick very quick buck. What was it, 3.2 mil bonuses to stockbridge, green, mather, ahmad etc etc etc forpromotion from 3rd division. What about when we are in the championship, how much of a bonus increase do they take on top of that? that's on top of the players wages, stadium upkeep and running costs. Easily 10 - 15 million in debt by the end of this season.

Its all going to come crashing down, its inevitable. The fans haven't galvanised, there's just nowhere for us to follow. Supporters groups are a farce, why are we fationed off, why not unite? Petty differences will kill us in the end. If someone organised a rally/support day or something, we would all go, but leadership is lacking.

At the time I put out a call here for us to get down and set up some sort of protest camp on Edmiston Drive, but there were no takers.

You're right, our fans are all talk and bluster, and no action. Lazy.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3. Fergus put his money into celtic and refused to give 1 thin dime to outgoing board members. He did leave a legend only after countless fans persecuting him for pinching every penny. However the hindsight lacking in some celtic fans at the time meant he didn't get the credit he deserves until today. Exactly what would happen at this club. However do you see the likes of ally gifting his shares like a lot of the diaspora of celtic fans did without receiving vast sumd in profit. i'd say NO. Fergus also left the club selling his shares for vast profits and again was criticised for making extremely astute business decisions.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys let's be honest what the f can fans do charles green isn't going to listen

Agree0 Disagree0

@8) perfectly summed up, I loved the "not one thin dime" then and now.

I think part of the criticism received was due to Rangers creeping ever closer to nine in a row and not even being competitive in most seasons, hell Aberdeen were second more times than Celtic in Rangers NIAR. (Aberdeen 5, Celtic 2, the last 2!)

There is one difference in McCann then and any prospective Rangers sugar daddy now. Parkhead needed a total revamp, that, he correctly judged, was his selling point asset. Rangers already have the stadium/training ground infrastructure in place. Therefore it's nowhere near as ripe for picking as Celtic were then. His one moment of genius was having the balls to make Celtic Park 60,000 that has paid for itself so many times over. And you are correct 8) history will judge him well, very well.

It must now be time for moving on, accepting THE Rangers soubriquet, the history of threats, torchings etc. and that we have a lot tomdo to get back to any kind of respectability that guys like Green, Whyte,. and the seemingly airbrushed SDM, each of whom have reduced us to the oral authority of Robert Mugabe preaching peace and love.
Moving on means not just the above, but reconciling ourselves to the fact that our "history", while having much to be proud of, must also move on, with the ever tightening UEFA rules and changing social attitudesmaking a luxuriating in the pre eminence of the past no longer acceptable. No one. no one at all. believes that all the clubs baggage ( both good and bad) could or should be banished totally to history, s dustbin, but from thevrubble around us today, we have what may be our Only chance. YES. our ONLY chance to move ever further into a 21st century with giant world clubs with whom we will hopefully seek to compete again but who know little and care less about 17th century Irish politics and the like, and MUCH, MUCH more about being seen to be a large progressive force in an ever more financially driven game for those who GENUINELY aspire. and who are less inclined to be diverted into their equivalent of singing sectarian songs, or inciting social divisions which. unpalatable as it will be to many. is the legacy that huge swathes of world (not just domestic) football sees us.
We have ONE CHANCE to move on. don't deny our past, for good or ill. but, let's leave it behind for the historians and let's make our fans and the nation proud of us again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Love the sentiment, I really do. But do you really think Rangers and your pals across the city would have the fan base they do without the sectarian element? I know I don't. I unfortunately believe that the supporter of Rangers and Celtic, for many, has absolutely nothing to do with football.

It also makes me laugh in the fat that most of those that sing the sectarian songs and plant their flag on one side or the other have no religion whatsoever and wouldn't now what the inside of a church/chapel looked like! Sad really.

LLSMFCF

Agree0 Disagree0

What a fantastic post Franco. What has been and gone will always be there in the minds of those who remember it. That cannot be denied as the history books show it to be true. With that said, history is of no use if we do not use it to learn from the past to move forward into a brighter future. History can also be a huge anchor that holds us in place while others set sail. I think you're right, this time is likely to be our only chance to move forward and become something truly great. If not we will be forever mired in our past and die anyway as nobody other than those involved will care anymore.

In the words of Shakespeare
No legacy is so rich as honesty.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cracking last line Baybear and that is the thing about short-termist profiteers, the last thing in the world they care about is legacy. I'm filling in the dots a bit here but surely something above the reported truth fills in the madness of this particular story I'm about to tell.

Goian left, reportedly on his final year full wedge. In theses situations generally both sides are flexible, club don't pay full amount, player doesn't demand it. Seemingly Goian got it all, which had some of you in here head scratching and rightly so. Therefore why?

This had to be an arrangement agreed upon last season, we know Div 3 football in Scotland isn't helping your international career, we can ill afford to pay you, go on loan for a season and next year we'll give you full whack. Short term beneficial to Rangers, second season in, it sucks as good ideas go. And that is the mindsight of the short-termist, the pillager. That's the legacy part covered.

The transparency, or lack there of, comes from another announcement. Ally (and this isn't an Ally rant he just happened to say it at the weekend) said wages are down this year. He's correct, wages for your CURRENT squad are down but somewhere in the accounts due on Sept. 18 will be Goian's settlement, Bocanegra's and possibly Sandaza's (I don't know how that was ever settled, anyone know?)

The wages are down, the amount used on players probably isn't. This isn't a legacy and it sure as hell isn't honesty. Traynor's lie regards a banned media group isn't honesty either, there are sound bytes to appease which will all unravel in the fullness of time.

@3) Gaz interesting about Goian. Didn't Sandaza say Ally told him they'd be in SPL in two years when starting fourth tier. Paerhaps Goian was spinned the same yarn and having given one year couldn't give two more to get to SPL.
Was it an Ally stuff up? Or did McCoist genuinely think SFA could get club back in top tier early?

@5) Fair comment, I'd never heard the Sandaza quote but does make sense, this was (contract wise) Goian's last season however as far as I'm aware, bear in mind he, like Bocanegra, was signed pre-admin, so he wouldn't have signed based on that, maybe persuaded to stay based on it, but certainly not signed on that premise. Some backroom deal explains him getting his full whack if indeed he did, otherwise keep him and play seems a bit more sensible. But as I said it makes the wages comment mischievous, there are a few pay offs out there that technically add to the player expenditure budget.

Mr Mather and his renumeration!

Now I have been brushing up on the latest spin on mr Mather from various high profile rangers people and I even include Ally in this debacle. Everybody seems to think this guy is the bees knees? let's check out some of the known information we have on this guy!

Now he comes in after Chico talks him into investing 1M in the club and he gets a specific role that doesn't last very long because he didn't have the minerals ( namely looking after the youth projects at Murray park ) now I don't really have a major problem in him investing in the club but I believe there where many other people who invested just as much and probably a lot more.

Now let's look at the figures! He invests 1M and after his stint at Murray park and after the board caused havoc with the share price his 1M then is diluted to 750K he then gets the job as chief operating officer ( who sanctioned this post!) and very soon after goes on a charm offensive and mysteriously gets promoted to chief executive officer! ( who sanctioned this!) now I believe his initial salary was £350K the same as Chico was getting and then mysteriously he gives himself a rise to 500K. Now I'm no genius but it looks like mr Mather is doing very well thank you very much! I presume is renumeration as CEO he will further benefit by more shares and expenses etc, etc.
this guy is a complete failure and he is only interested in his investment, let me assure my fellow fans this guy is from the Chico school of finance and he is playing the finance game very well at the moment but PLEASE don't be fooled if he keeps his job then Chico will have another "insider trader" at the very top it is a very compelling case to have him removed along with his pal Stockbridge once these two get removed by the shareholders and hopefully the new board members will listen to the fans and start the cleansing within. This needs to be done I have the list ready if they need any help guiding them through the " great stadium robbery"

Your thoughts fellow bears!

He supposedly has a "succeseful "
packaging company, a sports management company for developing young footballers, and a horse racing setup. which seems to have only one winner in three years.
how does he distribute his time in all these projects, as well as being a ceo for rangers?

What I don't understand is that a business man who has started and built up his own companies, normally would never think of working for someone else. if they are so profitable, why work for rangers fc, when he can be working for himself?
it just doesn't add up.

We had the false spin that Mather on £500k two weeks ago on McMurdo - so this is just Imran rehashing old news.

£360K + £140k bonus on financial reasons.

Compares better than Greens £360k + £360k bonus (for winning div or moving leagues!)

Fans being fed FUD from Green/Imran.

no new info. Mather expensive, Ally fault, McColl no money on table. blah blah

same old same old messages.

( Who sanctioned this! ) - Sorry is this a question or a statement?
