Record reporting that Pena is off. Apparently he has been in breach if contract and will leave without a pay off. Great news if true.

We lose the fee we paid for him which some say is £3m as we are sacking him so cannot sell him and no one would pay money for him anyway.

Pena will be leaving us with a payoff as soon as he signed into a rehab his drinking became an illness and that makes it virtually impossible to sack for gross misconduct.

I would doubt if we are releasing him and paying him off. If he is free to sign for someone else, we lose a fee and he gets wages from his new club. There maybe some pay off but won’t be his contract for the next 18 months.
