Just a slight variation, from our usual subjects on here. I see kilmarnock are giving big kris boyd, a testimonial game, sometime next year. His testimonial dinner is on the 8th of September. Kilmarnock have still to announce the date, time and opposition, for his testimonial game. I would hazard a guess that it will be rangers as the opposition, with a lot of legends of both clubs, taking part! I would really like to go to his testimonial game, if indeed it is us, who provide the opposition at rugby park! He scored a helluva lot of goals for us and was a natural, fantastic finisher! He was the record SPL goalscorer, of all time, while playing for us!
Kris boyd deserves to be honoured, in this way!

Totally agree. Great player for us and scored so many vital goals. Still banging them in aswell.

13 Aug 2018 19:55:00
Also the money raised from the dinner is going to both rangers and killie charities.

13 Aug 2018 19:57:53
Why would he want his testimonial with us? All he does is slate us👍.

13 Aug 2018 20:04:23
well said coop i totally agree

hats off to boydy he’s defied all his critics and continues to score goals regularly wherever he’s been and boy did he score some amount of goals for the teddy bears

id love to go back to rugby park as last time i was there we were 3 up inside 7 mins and won the league 👍🏻🇬🇧

wot a day that was (killie pie was legendary too! )

13 Aug 2018 20:07:00
I was kinda hoping the same thing hope it takes shape.

13 Aug 2018 20:20:56
That’s a sad comment Coldo and Boyd is one of us and really cares for our great club! He scored goals for fun for us and the cash raised from a proposed game between the Gers and Killie will go to charity! Hats off to Killie and the Ayrshire Loyal🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

13 Aug 2018 20:28:48
He’s very rarely got anything good to say about the club. I wouldn’t give him a penny. He got plenty free money the year he spent in the championship with us when he was overweight and lazy and couldn’t hit a barn door.

13 Aug 2018 20:32:08
Marco C. Its interesting that you mention all proceeds of Boyds potential testimonial will go to charity. I know most people would be in favour of this. My question is- how do you know this. I do know Chris Boyd puts a lot of effort into a charity for his late brother. It would please me and others if all proceeds went to a charity or charities.

I'm not taking anything away from boyd's ability or achievements with us or killie and yes its for a great cause. I am grateful for the goals he scored for us. I just find it strange yately1 that he sinks the boot into us when he can but wants a testimonial match against us.

13 Aug 2018 20:43:05
a lot of people with short memories boyd might say things we don't agree with in his column but a record scorer while with us and a blue blooded rangers fan good guy in my book.

13 Aug 2018 20:45:41
caldo and ldm17 what short memories you have and what exactly did he say that upset you?

13 Aug 2018 20:58:52
Coldo, don’t get bitter and negative like LDM17? You do contribute good posts to the site and Boydo calls it as he sees it. Do we want him to go on like Fartson and Skutton🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

13 Aug 2018 21:07:20
Jyf, if you read my posts you'll see that I don't have a short memory, infact your the one with the short memory if you can't remember what I said just two posts previous to your post. Boyd has said plenty jyf, I don't hold a grudge or care what he has said. I'm simply saying that its strange that for someone who slates us regularly to then want a testimonial with us👍.

Goalie he has announced all money raised will be divided between two charities.

13 Aug 2018 21:13:52
Goalie. Take another read of what I said. I never mentioned proceeds of testimonial, but money raised from the dinner. And my source was the BBC sports website.

13 Aug 2018 21:32:52
Went to school with big boydy and he's rangers daft always was he will want his testimonial against us. He should be remembered for his 1st spell at us where he banged goals in for fun not for having an opinion for his column in the paper. He didn't say much that wasn't true or that most of us weren't saying anyway. RANGERS LEGEND.

13 Aug 2018 21:42:23
Well said Frustrated blue! 🇬🇧.

13 Aug 2018 22:08:04
Here here frustrated blue!

14 Aug 2018 07:34:03
Not bitter against him in the slightest just offering my opinion on him and his bashing of the club. Just because he’s scored a rake of goals for us doesn’t give him a free pass. I couldn’t care less what others think of him. And I’ll repeat good luck to him but I wouldn’t give him a penny! He’s been bashing us for years!

14 Aug 2018 09:31:29
What did he say that's got you all precious?
