Why do people continue to say on here that we hope close the gap on them, rangers are buying players and spending money to challenge them to win this league not to close the gap.

I hear you mate. If anyone has ever played football no matter the level you play to win. We don't play to come second. Yes celtic are miles ahead but they can be got at. i'm not saying we will romp the league or even win it but we should be aiming to win it. Why people say we should aim to cut the gap to 10 points etc is beyond me.

Because of where we have been we are still in a rebuilding/ recovery phase. If we cut the gap to tennor under and finish 2nd then that will have been a good season (leaguewise) if we do better than that then it's a welcome bonus.

Its a building phase yes but doesn't matter where we have been etc mate. We should always aim for the best. As i say i'm not saying we will win the league etc but its what we must aim for.

Nobody is saying that they only want us to finish 2nd, of course we all want to win the league. But at the min it does matter where we've been. We are fighting to get ouselves back on top, on the pitch and financially as well. We were 39 points behind last year. Our new guys will hopfully increase the quality but to expect that we will win the league is frankly naive. Do I want Rangers to win the league? Of course I do. Do I think that number 1 is where Rangers should be? Of course I do. There is nothing wrong with a realistic expectation. but if we do win it I'll be just as overjoyed as you.
