I am not going to defend Bartons disgraceful actions from his history however he seems to have turned himself around.
All the players MW has signed seem to be hardworking bodies that buy into his philosophy.

Like I said if you don't think lafferty is good enough that's fair enough. I'm very happy barton is at rangers but his long list of antics including when he was mature at 28 make lafferty look like peter pan.

Fd is spot on even if the 'character test' phase was misplaced (fair play he said so) . This isn't about who was/ is the biggest ned. I am unmfortable with Barton's actions in the past but I can accept that the management team believe this is in the past and he can add real presence to the team - seems right so far but we will see.
For me Lafferty would not add to the team so not for me. If we get someone else in fine. If not give Dodoo a run. He made himself chances last night and kept coming back - first full game too.

So the same doesn't apply to lafferty. If the management brought him in how's it any different from barton they would think he could to a job. So he should be accepted the same as any player mw has brought in.

I don't particularly like Barton in terms of his past but at least the guy has ability. Lafferty is a headless chicken that would be nothing more than a waste of wages. If he wasn't an Ulstermth then people wouldn't even be considering him. If he is the best we can come up with then I will be surprised. Indeed it seems to be only our supporters that are linking him!

He was one of the highest scorers in the euro qualifying campaign. And he would certainly score more goals than miller in spl. So that would an improvement.

i hope he doesn't come back as i think that would be a massive mistake for rangers and i think about 80% of the fans think that too from this site and other sites most people hate the idea of that coming back here.
