Dykes and Eaves being touted on here as possibles - if this is the case then I would rather we just played our u18s, as what's being mentioned is not up to Partick Thistle or Alloa FC (no disrespect intended) standard never mind Rangers.
If we want an impact player we need to pay for it. SG has tried the mediocre route and it has failed which is why so many are going out on loan. He knows what he wants just a matter now if we can afford it, and if we don't, well watch this space, because SG will be off.

Those are good options as. an alternative option. Dykes would have posed more problems to that hearts back line than Defoe did without doubt. sometimes it is nt going to work for Defoe if we can’t provide for him, big strong bullies will occupy defenders a lot better than Defoe if that’s the way a games going and offer more of a threat from balls into the box and opportunity to work of second balls etc, it’s just another option not Alfie’s replacement.

Aye mate dykes has 11 goals slread, ripped the Tim's to bits caused us all sorts of bother every game. But he's not good enough for partick or alloa mate, okay 🙈 I'd have been happier with dykes up front sunday wee defoe is close but away to Aberdeen hearts celtic etc he's just not got the legs.
