I see the Daily Record is reporting today that Warburton has t with ex-Spurs player Niko Kranjcar. Any thoughts Bears? Isn't there a danger with some of the names Gers are being linked with (e. g. Barton) that the wage bill will start rising again?

Thats what i was thinking mate, even if we get into europe the money there isn't that brilliant, just hoping we are fully focused on doing things the right way, plus I've got to admit i think wages could be better spent although he's an alright player, saying that if there's no transfer fee i suppose it would free up that money.

Well we have went up a league we will be getting more money so we should have a bigger wage budget.

Would expect at least the same amount of season tickets to be purchased as well and with the 20% rise there will be plenty of cash from sales. Big issue however is the shirt deal hopefully that can get sorted and we can start making some decent money from that.

Think you will find that the wage bill will be kept within budget.
Lets not forget that all these names that are being touted won't be sgned.
Warbs stated previously he had a number of targets and if he couldn't get one he would move on. That to me means he won't be signing A B and C but it will be A or B or C.

Can I just point out that Barton isn't on a massive wage at Burnley. Burnley have a wage structure in place which barton bought into. he liked it, he said he made bad decisions before due to wages and thought he had to make the right career choice by going to burnley. Burnley have a 15k wage cap. I reckon he'd be happy to sign for us for 10k a week. the same as what Rossiter is on.

The boys leaving us were on fortunes, they will free up a lot of wages. We are not a championship team anymore, we are a team who sells out 52,000 every second week and are going to be challenging for a title, these targets simply reflect that. The green half of the city will be terrified, they believed the hype and thought we were finished only signing players from Accrington.

if you look at the kind of players we are going for none of them are costing huge amounts of money most are out of contract players so we can afford to pay their wages in saying that though I don't think any of these players that we have bben linked to are on massive amounts just now barton 33 years old won't b looking for a lot kranjcar is 31 and might be persuaded to take a wage cut although I think he will refuse a move to the spl.

there is no chance of the budget that warburton has at his disposal will put the club in any danger king and company will make sure of that but we do need experienced players for next season fair play to warburton he appears to leave no stone unturned.

Recbob/ Largebill your bang on, no way will these transfers be allowed to put our club in jeopardy, if Warbs is moving on these guys its because the transfer strategy has been well thought out! unlike our neighbours who seem to be just going after anyone that becomes available! hence their ridiculously overbloated playing squad.
