What non home grown player or Scottish grown player would you have left out instead?
IMO we need to sign the best Scottish grown players that are good enough when available to give us the chance of having a squad with the full quota and hand pick 18 quality non Scottish or home grown players for our squad.
Our signing policy, we have been to quick to overlook Scottish based and signed non Scottish based players who are no better.

Yilmaz has been given so much hope and credit for someone who has been unavailable for selection much more than he's ever available. The same people that believe in him want tav, lundstrum and the likes out of our club yet these guys are always available. When yilmaz has played does he blow you away with his skills and style of play. The boy has played for us over a year and you could count on one hand how many good games he's had. I think davies at lb in European games will do us good. he's big strong and defensively minded and that is what we need more than a guy who will be on the sick or disappear halfway through a game.

Yilmaz was injured at the time but Beale should have taken a longer term view to when he would be fit for for the other 5 games. With Devine being a natural right back, he could have taken the gamble on Tav always being fit anyway and leaving Sterling out of the squad.
That looks far more logical than including three right backs and only one left back. Given how little has has played Sterling's fitness like Dowell is a major concern for us. We seem to have signed another two players with long term problems who can't even handle training never mind games.

Yilmaz should have been included in the squad. If it was a long term injury then fair enough leave him out. another shambles by beale. we could have left out lammers dessers cifu easily and we wouldn't have noticed their absence.
