Can anyone name me a manager in recent times who a year into the job had the players playing brutal football and getting worse each passing week actually managed to turn it around? I can't think of one and even if there is it doesn't happen very often. We're just prolonging the inevitable as we're only going one way under Gio and it ain't up. Also if you think it's still 'knee jerk' I said it BEFORE we even stepped foot in the champions league groups feel free to check.

My point is there’s very very few and if I reversed the question and said how many get to this point and don’t turn it around there’d be an endless list. I like him as a person but he’s not the man to take us forward we have the perfect opportunity to replace him at the World Cup.

How many excellent managers have been dumped without being given sufficient time but then gone on to be a huge hit somewhere else?

I've been watching Manchester United this season. They had a terrible start, one of the worst in their history, but they have turned around. It that case, it took a month. When he loses the support of enough fans then he will be changed. Personally speaking though, I would prefer to give him until the end of the season. But, these pages of for opinions and that's my opinion.
