A few games until we actually get to see top players perform at a top level. Maybe some of our players will learn from this opportunity. As far as I'm concerned this break will do us the world of good. should see a revitalized squad top to bottom for the business side of the season. This coming game against Aberdeen is the perfect game to prepare for the final CL game against Ajax. They won't want to lose this one and will come out for a win. I don't see 5-0 but a narrow win would be a shot in the domestic arm and a chance to at least get some European respect back.

The WCp break will do nothing as its mentality that has gone. Players should be trying at the minimum. Suggests lost changing room. Bur pride should come into playing if you want a move. If I was a potential suitor, Kent etc no for me. If I did that in my job I'd be sacked.

I hope that you are right Decee, I would expect a victory against Aberdeen and a convincing victory against Ajax but the majority of the current team are either well past their silly date, have lost interest, lack guts and are just not good enough!

It's all about "leadership and motivation" and you either have it or you don't. It doesn't matter whether you are an ex-player or you are known to the club, or any of that. That's what I am looking for from GvB and without that he is in the wrong job. I'm all for giving him until the end of the season. Let him clear out a few more players and shape the team the way he wants. I think he made some promising signings over the summer. One or two of them may not work-out but the majority have been good and it's the remnants of the past that are letting us down just now. The CL showed us that it is not a matter of holding midfielders or attacking midfielders that's the problem, it is any kind of midfielder that is our problem just now.
