By replacing Bassey with Davies, for me shows that GVB had pencilled Bassey in for the LCB role this year.
Therefore we still need a LB.
Initially I was hopeful that one of the youngest from the B team would be promoted but after watching Devine play there yesterday it looks as though none of them are ready just yet.
Another interesting couple of days ahead.

Zikos Devine is a rb not a lb

I agree we really need another lb to challenge with Barasic and we need to offload Simpson, Katic and possibly Helander.

I know John, but against Blackpool he played him as a left back. Which for me meant that none of the b team LBs are ready for the 1st team yet.
Hopefully sign a top class LB, would not like to go to parkhead with Borna.
