bit of common sense, when you can't afford a Rolls Royce, you get a Mini. Same here, you have the players you could afford at the time
Ability of these players has probably been coached / improved to their max.
You will only get better players when they can be afforded but don't forget your city rivals will respond accordingly

@Scmck It was Butcher who put Hibs in the championship promotion race with us and you think his reward should be the Rangers job? If you can't handle the pressure at Hibs you haven't got a hope in hell of handling it at Rangers mate.
