It was great to see/ hear from our superb former centre half and captain big terry butcher, who done the half time draw at yesterday's game ? With it being armed forces day, bit terry spoke about his beloved son christopher, who's sadly no longer here and big tel was talking about the fantastic charity work he does connected to the forces and talking about what Glasgow Rangers means to him in which he said that Rangers is 'his club ' and has a massive love for Rangers ??? I wish big terry and his family all the best wishes from the bottom of my heart and oh how we'd all love a centre half even half as good as he was ?.

Remember the picture of him covered in blood with the bandage, they built them better back in the day.

Question for you coop who would you rather have if you had to pick just one, Butcher or Gough for me Butcher shades it for me.

That is a very hard choice Me2, I'm similar in favoring Butcher.

Only my opinion, but the best three Scottish cb's or Scotland international players in my lifetime, 1st Hanson, 2nd Narey, 3rd Gough, just feel David Narey doesn't get the respect he should, top class cb.

Me2, both Gough and Butcher easily the best 2 centre halfs ever to have played for Rangers imo mate. ??? But if i was forced to choose between the two i'd say gough just edges it for me ?.

Narey made the Brazilians angry ??.

My star, if Jim McLean had accepted the Rangers manager's job in 1983 when John Greig was sacked and sir Alex Ferguson had turned the job down, his first signing was going to be Dave Narey and i agree with you big Narey was an outstanding centre half. ?I would still take big Richard Gough before any of them mate ?.

Gough for me, a true Rangers legend, skipper for most of 9 in a row, great defender and scored important goals. I'm pretty sure there are pictures of him with his head bandaged and covered with blood, in a Rangers strip.

Sorry, Alan Hansen, big reason Narey never got as many Scotland caps that he should have, both ball playing cb's.

Loved big tel but felt as though he jumped on the band wagon with Sutton n co when we were struggling. Also loved his comments at the stadium and give my right arm for him just now. Stroke of genius from Souness and my old man still states if he hadn't broke his leg we'd a won the league that year as well ??.

Would have loved McLean taking the Rangers job sws, top class manager mate.

SWS, I remember McLean being touted for the job back in the 80s but I thought he just refused it. Your info that he had lined Narey up suggests it was pretty close. What's your view on why he didn't come to Ibrox?
