Parlane for me he is a failed Rangers captain. Trophy count is truly atrocious. He might have good stats but the stats that matter are awful.

I don’t think he can be held fully responsible for the lack of success during his time at the club. I accept he’s never been a sound defender but that shouldn’t detract from his goal scoring and assists. Top goal scorer in the great Europa cup run that took us all the way to Seville. Not one of our most decorated captains but he deserves respect.

Honestly i think it's appalling how folk talk about our captain of 9 years. So many games in europe and over the years where he has led us to great performances, stood up at vital moments with vital goals, pressure penalties. He's dropped off a bit this season and probably needs replaced as starting RB but people going out their way to criticise and some of the language used is shocking.

Some people are finally right about Tav, only took 9 years and a massive decline.
But totally on-board the punt Tav now train. Has been on the decline last couple of years and we cannot be sentimental, he is no longer good enough.

Still copying Chris Suttons serial loser patter? Embarrassing. How can anyone compare his trophy haul to glorious teams of the past when most of the time the team he’s played in has been mince? How many trophies would he have won had he played in the 90’s/ 00’s. The treatment of the man is nothing short of a disgrace and he has to move on to get away from a toxic fan base. Heaven knows where we would have been without him.

It's ok to have our different opinions on our players but the personal attacks on a rangers captain for me is sickening and out of order, when we should be backing tav and our club to go and hopefully lift the scottish cup on saturday ?The insults are terrible imo simple as that for me. ?
I'll be at hampden as per usual backing our club no matter who's playing to the hilt to hopefully beat them and win the scottish cup, so good luck to everyone associated with glasgow rangers on saturday and not forgetting the very special event taking place at our home ibrox, before the cup final kicks off on saturday in the unveiling of our greatest manager of the modern era walter smith's statue, god bless you walter ??.

CaptainTav the toxicity from fans is directly influenced by what dross we are seeing on the pitch.
How often is your day ruined and how much time do you spend in a bad mood because of it? Its only natural to feel a bit more hostile towards something that gives you grief over and over. Spanning years.
Nobody is wanting him hung or any the players we just want change and crave some success again.

Agree huey, SWS we used to do things differently to the other lot respected players and managers. Not nice to see the rubbish on here about players and fans gobbing off at players and Butland having to intervene just for one might even be the difference between butland deciding to stay and go.

That presser from Tav did not fill me with confidence. He looks like a man with no belief. Please let me be wrong.
This guy is not and never will be good enough for Rangers let alone captain.
If he stays on (and I don't think he should), then take that captaincy off hom and move him to the park and have Sterling at RB.
Like I said, never been good enough I'm my opinion.

Sentimentality of past abilities doesn't cut it today, he was great, no doubt; but he's done now, time to replace and move on, when he plays tomorrow I hope he does well, but it's Russian roulette.

I rate Tav and would prefer him to stay - but at the time I'm not sure I can face another year of Tav-bashing.
