One of the admins on another forum I'm part of posted this (see below) at the Weekend, and I thought it was on the button. Add in Bennett having a go at the "subway loyal", and it's my opinion, he's just another single fish talker!

"Chairman of the football club. Has he said anything since being appointed? Last time he spoke to us properly he told us we had the best squad in the country and that would shine through.

The fans want and deserve answers on which direction this football club is going in. Where is the money going to come from to fund the transfers required to win the league again".

Raisetheroofe I remember he came and said the board didn’t communicate to the fans as much as they should do and that would change……. still waiting!

Unfortunately the fans can want / deserve answers on which direction the club is going all they want.
But considering we all have differing opinions then the club aren't going to please every fan.
We've seen it with Club1872 who were going to be a voice of the fans but ended up a basket case as they couldn't agree what direction to take.
If you had to ask the fans on this forum their favoured line up or formation we would get a few different permutations.
As for money. We can only pee with the c**k we have.
Was it Bennett who said he wants 'best in class'? Well I think we've all to see that materialise.

It was him, MPH.

For me, Bennett is no better than the what we had before him, and he has an air of arrogance, and BS about him. The "subway loyal" thing done it for me, if I'm being honest. How dare that wee jumped up, arrogant sod, have a go at the life blood of our club, instead of shouldering the responsibility of a fading club, who continue to underachieve, while hemorrhaging money on an overpaid, overhyped pool of losers.

Said pretty much the same or asked the same questions in an article I recently wrote

what direction are we going in and what money will be made available and where is the funds coming from
If this fails and Clemente fails where does it actually leave the entire club?

27 May 2024 12:29:58
I’ll tell you where the money could have came from, champions league revenue! But we blew it, and it was in our hands. So there’s no magic wand! And who are we to expect someone to come in and give us tens of millions just to win the league, who in their right mind would do that? We have to be more clever with our recruitment (pick up promising youngsters from abroad like we did with Morelos) and also make top money for players who we sell I. e. bassey and Patterson. It can be done, ange done it at Celtic and they were further behind us at that point than we are behind them now.

Good point Mr Potato and very eloquently put ?.

Maybe he doesn't want to undermine the manager. Charles green, Murray and white too much to say in my opinion.

Sometimes it's all about Laymen's terms, TB26?.

The fans are the lifeblood of any club, RTR.
I've been critical of the Subway Loyal in the past. But changed my mind after recently reading a report from a supporter from Northern Ireland who said if they don't leave at a certain time there is a good chance the bus will miss the ferry. And it got worse for them with the introduction of VAR and the added on time. It puts it into perspective when these guys are already spending a fortune to follow follow the club we all love.
And those in charge should realise this more than anything. You don't slate your target audience.

27 May 2024 15:26:36
With regard to the so-called Subway Loyal, in my view they show all that is wrong with the club. If you go out to dinner, you don't leave before dessert to get away quickly, you don't miss the last ten minutes of a film or the encore at a concert just to make sure you are away first. In my view, the support should be there till the end of the game, cheering the team on when required or to give them an ovation at the end of the game. It's embarrassing to see the wide open spaces by the 85th minute.

Problem with the money we can’t just magic money up with FFP these days. The days of throwing money at the club are over but some fans seem to think it’s just that easy.

27 May 2024 16:06:08
So, fans leaving 10 minutes earlier "show all that is wrong with the club"! Jesus Christ on a bike! What a steaming pile of jimmy white.

RTR, are you here to just disagree with everything or is there even the slightest chance you might contribute in an adult way? Maybe you are actually just a child, given that you continually act like one. I've given my opinion, if you choose to hold a different opinion I am happy to discuss it further. However, your answer shows you are unable and unwilling to do so.

For the benefit of the child, would you leave ten minutes early if you went to a film, a play, a meal etc? No you wouldn't. The fact that so many do that, and they aren't all scared of missing a ferry, is wrong in my view and is a clear demonstration IN MY VIEW, of what is wrong with the supporters of our great club. I personally have never left before the end of a game.

??? Raw nerve touched!

While I don't believe that you should leave before the final whistle and never have done I can understand the need for some people, especially if they are travelling by air or in a supporters bus for example that needs to make a ferry time.
I wouldn't necessarily draw an analogy with going out for a meal, its a totally different scenario.
If I travel up to Scotland I drive, 400+ miles, but to a great extent I am the master of my own destiny and I would generally stay overnight before traveling back South. If I travelled by air, as I have done on occasions then I still have an overnight stay so that I can have a relaxed journey to the airport; however I do understand that not everyone can do this or would necessarily want to do this. At the end of the day it is down to the individual.
Personally I am more concerned about having a winning team on the park than whether someone leaves before the end of the end of the game.

Subway loyal are an embarrassment for me. Not buying this NI stuff. See it at all home games no matter the kick off time.

Sums up the entitled sit and cross your arms brigade for me. It's all about them rather than supporting the team.

27 May 2024 18:56:47
You pay yer money you do what you want, some have to leave early for ferries, used to get a lift from the Arran bus years ago and the bus would not wait, a couple of mins can save over an hour with traffic sometimes, it’s easy for me I leave at final whistle and still about first on bus as I am seated in west enclosure.
