It’s not snobbery. there’s a budget, why spend £4-5m when there’s more pressing concerns.
We spent £4.5m on a CM already, Motherwell want around that amount also. To be spending that on a 17/18 year old is utter madness when we need to prioritise what positions we sign this summer.

I don’t think it’s snobbery, it’s all to do with our budget and how much we can risk on a 17-year-old. He looks really good but a lot can change over the next few years and in reality he’d need to play every week in order to continue to develop. Rice can’t even get on the bench just now and like it or not Diomande will be the first midfielder on the team sheet next season.

Surely this is where we can be a bit smarter (re lennon) and use the likes of Mccrorie, King, Devine etc as makeweights in the deal. Miller is one that will go on to be a star so if we really want him now is the time to do it before he's out of our price range. Barron I'd like but believe he's turned us down.

At end of day our club have a budget, within that we have to manage who we buy, as good as Lennon miller may become do we spend millions bin McKinnon and rice and nsio in the process.
Not for me. , I still believe Watson has a bigger future in the game and can play different positions.

I think the snobbery comment comes from the Lewis Ferguson not Rangers class problem. I do think foreign players have a much lower threshold when it comes to taking a punt. We could have got Ferguson for peanuts when he was at Hamilton and he'd be captain by now or sold for a big profit.

Lennon Miller atm is not worth more than £2m he might have potential and has had a good half of season with other half spent being injured. Far too big a gamble to spend £4m on a young player who so far has been injured for half of the only season he’s played.
He could be injury prone, and Lewis Ferguson had already played in top flight for about 5 seasons before he left to go to Italy this is not a similar scenario. He may prove to be a great player in future but not at £4m plus for me.
Conner Barron has shown similar levels of ability and would cost £500k development fee that’s who should be signed and Shankland for £2m now he has 12 months left.
