For all his flaws, Dessers got into goal
Scoring positions far far quicker and better than Fabio ( who I like a lot ) Yeh should have scored! Even shot! But Fab didn't even get in position.
Fans need to back this lad and make him feel like a superstar for this title run in. because he's going to do it it again and again, but he'll score a major goal for me when we need it most. Incredible attitude also.

He got into more goal scoring positions because they were chasing the game when he came on so there was more space.

Happy with both Fabio and Dessers at the moment, both different styles and both will be used by big Phill.

There's no point getting into those positions if he can't get a shot away. There seems to be some mental blockage when he's one on one with the goalkeeper that stops him taking a shot at goal. Really strange for a striker?! He has a habit of making the hard things look easier, while making the easier things look hard.

I was critical of Dessers when he first joined the team but he has grown on me. I also agree he has a great attitude. I hope he can score lots more goals between now and the end of the season and help to win the league.

The big guy actually played well. Some of his link up play was brilliant on a difficult pitch. He just needs to get his shots away early sometimes. Often will catch keepers out if hit early before they have a chance to set themselves. Must say his attitude is spot on and he never hides and keeps going no matter what.

Jack the lad he’s not the first striker to score more instinctively. Buff was the same! Given time he would miss more than score:
All strikers are diff. Back him because he gives us everything. Do that he will improve: slag him off then I’m not interested in that stuff from any fan!

Dessers at present is only fit main striker and has improved greatly recently, so let's all get behind him as he appears to be the type who is a confidence player, who needs everyone's support. I am sure he will contribute enough to help us win the league.

Unfortunately, his ability doesn’t match his attitude, which can’t be faulted. For me, he lacks the basic instinctive nature of a goal scorer and is a yard short to go with it. Don’t need to be blessed with pace to be a striker as Boyd showed, but he was as sharp as a tack and could finish from all angles. Dessers isn’t the answer long term.

I would say the one small failing our front 3 have, is not looking along the line, too many unnecessary offside decisions. I feel that Silva will start scoring very soon, his side foot volley at the start of the 2nd half was brilliant, Dessers is much better at finding space than Silva, but the latter is much faster, I'm happy with both TBH.

I’m hoping his numbers continue to the end of the season and he will get the same backing from me as every other player who wears our jersey but he’s also going to miss so many gilt edge chances.
