IF reports are true there's interest in butland at 15m and Tav at 7m does the club take the money and reinvest or does CL qualification give us the ability to say no?
20 Mar 2024 15:30:09
surely we wouldn't take those offers?
Tav is our main man, whose going to score the goals or assist if he leaves?
And Butland is £20m keeper all day long.
20 Mar 2024 15:36:20
£22m - I’d think we’d be dealing. Then again, the players may want to stay. Tav is only going for that to Saudi and he may not fancy it.
20 Mar 2024 15:50:57
Haha, if there was any creditability in those reported offers, we would be snapping their hands off.
20 Mar 2024 16:53:16
Deal for both. Tavs 31 now and if we can get 22 million for both that including the transfer budget gives pc full control on his own players. Both would be missed but we move on.22 million in the bank.
20 Mar 2024 17:42:38
Sell?.
20 Mar 2024 17:55:14
Tav is 33 years old on his next birthday.
20 Mar 2024 18:19:19
Clickbait, 22mill. we would RIP their arms off, let's be honest!
20 Mar 2024 18:21:59
At those figures we would do business.
20 Mar 2024 18:35:52
If we get offers that for both they are off.
20 Mar 2024 18:52:17
Allymc, we, whether we like or not are a selling club and would have to take the money for both. We need to sell when the property is hot, to be a sustainable club. It will always be our main men that will get sold. Unfortunately it's the only way forward for just about every team in the world now, mate.
20 Mar 2024 18:53:18
It’s tavs testimonial next year will take a good offer for him to move.
20 Mar 2024 19:16:36
Sell, sell, sell.
20 Mar 2024 20:14:51
You're forgetting something storm. ?
It would be up to tav if he went or not, even if rangers accepted an offer for him. I don't see tav leaving rangers anytime soon, imo. ?
In fact, i think he may well see his playing career out at rangers ?.
20 Mar 2024 20:30:46
As stated earlier in the past weeks from a few, testimonial monies tend to go to charity, Tavs already a wealthy man, why would he not guarantee his and his families financial security probably for life, he's already held in high esteem, no matter what he does he will have most bears blessings, personally if the offers tasty, he'll go.
21 Mar 2024 01:03:41
As good as they are we would have to deal at those numbers, if as coops says, they want to go.
21 Mar 2024 04:45:42
The seeker, both butland and tav would be big losses if they went but i see possibly butland wanting to go, but don't think tav will go mate ?.
21 Mar 2024 06:16:25
Everyone has their price SWS, he may stay yes, but it could be a good offer he can't refuse, football is a short career, a move now gives lifelong stability the Saudi's can offer.
21 Mar 2024 07:33:45
Tav can't go on forever. We need to start thinking about replacements.
21 Mar 2024 07:38:45
Keeping morelos and Kent 18 months to long cost us financially. If we receive a decent bid fir Tavernier he will be off.
21 Mar 2024 08:44:04
Only if he wants to go Boomboom.
21 Mar 2024 09:04:09
Walter not necessarily the case, u just say u won’t be getting a game.
21 Mar 2024 09:59:55
Although was a long time ago. Mark hately got sold to ac milan from pompey without him even knowing when he was on england duty.
21 Mar 2024 11:02:49
Agree Paul, get Sterling bedded in to RB, Tav can go into the desert with the bears thanks and set himself up ?.
21 Mar 2024 11:32:01
I wasn’t forgetting that coops ?.
Once again jumping in with both feet when I am not
The only one saying it seems you have an obsession with me again ?
Also coops as John says tell him game time will be limited then he would be off ?.
Nice try again tho keep it up ?.
21 Mar 2024 12:15:02
A lot of these players that have gone to SA and Quatar haven't settled.
21 Mar 2024 12:16:34
80% in the stream saying go, u must be special storm, think u were right yesterday?.
21 Mar 2024 12:42:17
Here we go with the bitch'ness again, the same names again. Grow up boys.
21 Mar 2024 13:00:34
I do agree if that kind of money is offered then we take it. Tav could say he wants to stay and fight for his place so telling him he won't play is really neither here nor there.
21 Mar 2024 13:06:50
A lot depends on where the transfer offers come from. Would Tav really want to go to Saudi? Replacing his goals wouldn't be as easy as some might think.
As for Butland, why would he want to go to a mid table EPL Team, (he doesn't appear to be driven by money, or he would have stayed a new contract at Manchester United) . He might prefer to stay with us and win trophies. If we lose him then we have a problem. There isn't a keeper of his quality in Scotland at the moment so we would need to go out and find someone of a similar quality, (not easy), or risk going back to the bad old days!
21 Mar 2024 13:18:34
We've been replacing goal scorers for 152 years now and we've managed ok mate. Tav leaving would not be the end of success at the famous.
21 Mar 2024 13:41:34
Why would they offer 15m for Butland if he has a 5m release clause or was that bull? 10m for Tav atleast.
22 Mar 2024 01:20:40
Whoa Walter
If 22m is there we grab and run. Let PC put own stamp on team, further invigorate team by selling dross. A relatively long term plan but could put us on top next decade. Whether you like it or not, players only well paid assets to club. Reading platitudes bout Lundstram, if he's running down contract, or half hearted we don't need players with that attitude. If he's keen to stay be remembered welcome to fold.
22 Mar 2024 07:18:06
Some also not getting any younger MBW, agree with your points bud?.
