You will be happy John227,that rangers V manchester utd in a glamour friendly at murrayfield, on saturday 20th of july ?.

Agree2 Disagree0

20 Mar 2024 12:30:11
Fans need to be aware that it will primarily be reserves and academy

United international players unlikely to have started back in training.

Go look at their team who played Lyon last summer

Only glamour in name only I suspect.

20 Mar 2024 13:18:40
Ps also good to see we r paying off debt incurred from Australia debacle,

20 Mar 2024 13:25:14
70 quid a ticket. 35 quid for juveniles ???.

20 Mar 2024 13:51:25
That's good info for people spending that kind of money expecting to see all the stars john27.

20 Mar 2024 14:04:46
Boy, it’s for people to assess who they think will be available and determine is the price worth it, I will go, but a lot off money for many.

20 Mar 2024 14:06:14
Tickets are now cheaper. Must have released the expensive tickets 1st. 43 is still pricey for friendly. But 4 bought.

20 Mar 2024 14:09:18
How is paying off debt for something that should never have been agreed in the first place "good"?!

This is on one person, and one person only (Bisgrove), and he should take full responsibility. How in God's name did he ever think this was a good idea?! Basically agreeing to be the support act in big Ange's homecoming celebrations! ??.

20 Mar 2024 14:31:57
I know we have differing opinions from time to time rtr, but I have to say I agree totally with you on this. Mental to even consider this imo.

20 Mar 2024 14:47:43
We greet about lack of income into our game and then greet about the chance to make an easy £3 million on the other side of the World giving fans in that area the chance to see their favourite team.
We also greet ironically about the lack of away fans in Old Firm games.
So what's the difference from us wanting to go to the Piggery to see Rangers against Celtic and someone in Australia being given the opportunity to see Rangers v Celtic?

20 Mar 2024 15:06:56
RTR spot on ???????????.

20 Mar 2024 15:15:43
Of course John, when I told my boy we were playing them he said I want to go see certain players, so was all for it till I seen your post. I just wouldn't pay that to watch kids. definitely good info.

20 Mar 2024 15:20:00
Ror we concededed the court case so have to play, three or four show games.

Interesting you blame Bisgrove court papers only mentioned park and Robertson.

20 Mar 2024 15:24:09
Agree tattie, never saw the problem with that game mate. We have a big support over there who would have loved to see that game.

20 Mar 2024 15:35:38
Because Park and Robertson were directors at the time, and on the board, John, but Bisgrove was the man who initiated this. Yes, the other 2 were complicit in this, and share the blame, but this was another "great", pop up marketing plan by Bisgrove.

20 Mar 2024 15:36:42
So you're happy with sloppy seconds, MPH, as long as the money is good? Hmmmmm?!

20 Mar 2024 15:40:08
I’m happy to pass on this one. I hate friendlies anyway and given the diluted line ups likely, this is a good one for parents and kids who don’t get to games to enjoy in the school holidays. We’ll get our appearance fee regardless. This is just an exhibition and my money will be used towards next seasons away trips.

20 Mar 2024 15:51:52
Agreed, Seeker, but it would appear that some are quite happy to sell their soul if the price is right!

Honestly, any Rangers fan who is happy to play the support gig to our biggest rivals, just because there's a bit of money involved in it, need to take a long, hard look at themselves. Shameful!

20 Mar 2024 15:59:39
Ibrox r u hearing we r getting money, I understand we need to pay organisers just over two million so that is three or four games depending on turnout

Ror all about opinions, certainly was not a Bisgrove gig, this was our chairman.

20 Mar 2024 16:57:19
RTR, I've just taken a long hard look at myself and I'm still of the opinion that the Oz tour was a missed opportunity ruined by petty mindedness.

20 Mar 2024 17:29:34
Agreed EHL.

20 Mar 2024 17:42:43
Then shame on you, EHL! ??.

20 Mar 2024 17:46:05
Hopefully both clubs field players from their first team squad as after all it’s a glamour friendly.

20 Mar 2024 18:40:59
I agree with MPH, ehl and John on this one. The cash would have came in handy.

20 Mar 2024 18:42:04
Copland, google team from game against Lyon and tell me how many of the 21 players Man Utd used you heard of.

20 Mar 2024 19:10:10
Rtr, we will never be a support gig to that lot, your talking your own team down there, mate. When it comes to them and us, we will always be the big show in town. The only shameful thing here is you thinking we will ever be a support gig to them.
Of course it was ehl.

20 Mar 2024 19:52:51
Your post doesn't make sense, BB3?!

20 Mar 2024 20:14:09
John, It’s absolutely in and out as you’ve suggested. Simply paying the debt off and nothing in it for us. There’ll be one or two foreign exhibition games at some point. Ironically, this should suit us, location, timing and level wise. The more expensive the tickets and the more that go, the quicker the debt is paid off. Another reason I’m not interested in going.

RTR and others, Biscrovw was Commercial Director at the time. His job was to bring opportunities to the table. Up to the board to approve or not. Any criticism you have lies at the door of Park and Robertson. That’s how it works.

20 Mar 2024 20:32:01
I am sorry but Man. Utd have ripped off fans for the past few years with pre season friendlies at Murrayfield for the past few years its been kids only.

20 Mar 2024 22:09:03
Scrambled it’s not Man U, or us or Manchester city Liverpool etc.

The organisers rent stadium, invite teams, pay them a fee based on attendance.

Note Rangers statement, we were invited to play Man U.

Some fans believe it’s because work getting done Copland, it’s about organisers making money.

20 Mar 2024 23:08:48
Rtr kind of what a thought of yours, telling people who think differently from you there shameful. It's maybe your way of thinking, that makes you not want to understand it.

21 Mar 2024 07:35:20
Scrambled eggs alotnof there players likely still on holiday after the euros. Sure this game 4 days or so after the final.

21 Mar 2024 07:39:02
Again, your post doesn't make sense, BB3?!

21 Mar 2024 09:08:02
Correct Paul a week after final.

21 Mar 2024 09:59:51
Of course it makes sense, your not a daft guy rtr.

21 Mar 2024 10:03:44
mPH thr australia thing was marketed as big ange homecoming. that's what most fans didn't like.

21 Mar 2024 11:07:52
Maybe to you, BB3, but not to me?!

21 Mar 2024 13:18:01
Getting rid of Park and Robinson along with the old DoF and Parks was the best decision the Club have made for a number of years.
Robinson had no commercial acumen whatsoever and Park was living in the past. When it came to putting funds in to our own Ladies Team and taking them to another level or putting the money into Scottish Football, we lost out.
My thought on our previous DoF are well known on here, I wan't a fan and the less said about Parks the better!

21 Mar 2024 14:04:15
Hello John, can I ask you, are we still paying Ashley, or, is he off the radar now.

21 Mar 2024 14:32:54
We should sell any player who DOESN'T want to be here. If they can't realise how fortunate they are to be at one of the best clubs in football, then replace with someone who wants to give their all for THE RANGERS.
Only my opinion.
