Listening to a couple of Hearts fans with connections to management Shankland's head is wasted and wants a move, putting 2+2 together doudbtfull for tomorrow is he on his way to Rangers.

I’d still like Shankland, problem is I don’t see us carrying four forwards and with dessers in good form where does Shankland fit in?
He has played as a second forward or number 10 for hearts but don’t see him suiting that role in our team he would need to be the number 9. I also think there are other areas of the pitch that are a priority and not sure we have any interest. Plus you have to give Danilo and Igamane game time. Be shocked if it happened.
I feel for the guy as I think he deserved his dream move last summer or definitely in January window but now it makes less sense for where we are.

Guys we don't have 3/ 4 m for shankland or anyone it appears look at our dealings we seem to be scrambling all over for loans with or without options to buy. Have we seriously made a bid for any player? Iv seen posted on here we've bid 5m for Rhamani or 7m for whittsker and unless we get a major surprise in the next 2 days those figures will have been shown to have never been available. It's a sad reality especially with our biggest rivals spending over 20m on 2 players but as a club we don't have 5 6 or 7m to buy anyone so talk of signing any player with significant value is pointless. I hope I'm wrong but nothing this window tells me I am.

There’s young talent in our own league we should be concentrating on. Shankland is a good finisher abut he doesn’t have the work rate or anymore to his game that is better than Dessers. If Dessers finds a bit of composure he could really hit a purple patch….

Honestly this nonsense needs to stop, I've said it long enough there is absolutely no way shankland would start up front for us as a first pick it's simply not happening, had this dispute with a good friend many times and to simplify it it's like Kenny miller and Boyd, Boyd would score goals for fun in a pair, miller lead the line better, hence why he played as a loan striker in every single game over Boyd, there is absolutely not a hope in hell under our formation are we signing shankland to lead the line, to even suggest shankland is capable of playing a loan striker in our current formation is beyond absurd, yes he will take chances better than dessers at times but dessers is by far the better all round striker, I'd absolutely love a front two I've said many times on here it annoys me greatly we don't play two up front at Ibrox, if that was the case yes I'd be all for it but no way on earth we are giving hearts that type of money for a guy who would simply not be a starter, I'm honestly dumbfounded how long this nonsense topic has continued under our current formation.

Lucky we didn't splash dead money on shankland, he has been dire this season, he belongs where he is in a bang average jam tarts side.
Dessers, Danilo, Igamane will be our 3 until december.
Unless we sign any new attackers, looking unlikely.
Our 2 potential attack line ups are
Lawrence, Matondo, Cerny, Dessers
Or
Dowell / Hagi / Igamane?, Jefte, Danilo, Cortes.
Line up 1 has more experience.
Line up 2 has more potential.

Prody you must see the football he wants to played? surely, few signings in January same the summer and we're only going one way, we just need a much stronger squad so when dropping players it will not matter like it does now.
Better in the final, tims aren't as good as they fans are thinking, they'll probably they weren't on it today but it doesn't work like that Rangers stopped them playing like they normally do, dominated the centre of the park, Raskin is the best cm in our league right now.

Totally agree my star. Great performance by all today. No doubt there will be a few more ups and downs this season but definitely going right direction. PC also keeps stating he loves it here which I believe is 100% genuine. You can also see why sports science is a must. Can’t expect players to play like that every 3 days. Rangers never gave them a minute, so Celtic fans can say what they want.
We play well when teams play against us, but we struggle against teams that sit in. We can't play the type of football we saw today against teams that sit in. He needs to adapt quickly. That's the point I have been trying to make.
Raskin was head and shoulders above everyone today, has to do it consistently to be the best in the league but he's clearly capable.

Prod. I am not sure he needs to change the way we play. If we press that highly with as many players in low block games we win the ball back quickly or they have to punt it forward without any control and their CF can't get control of it. The problem is we don't press like that. whoever the forward is has to chase around and the others drop off. hopefully PC has convinced players after yesterday the tactic works and they now have confidence to do it.

Going to hold up my hands and admit that the league is now out of our hands, now is the time for PC to start his clear out by playing the players that he wants to go forward with even using the kids.

START the clear out? We've cleared out around 15 players since he joined. That's almost as strange as him saying he only started his rebuild in the summer. And he clearly doesn't think the kids are good enough.

Clement appears to have a free hit this season because of the clubs financial restraints and his belief in the player trading model that the club buys into also.
The league performances and results to this point have been nowhere near good enough, 12 points behind and still in December.
The league is gone and let’s be honest was gone a month or two back, no signs that this group of players have the ability or consistency of performance to reduce this gap going into 2025, more chance the gap becomes wider than it is.
Added to that we are now being beaten with clubs for the first time in over 20 years.
This isn’t going to change in the next window and my worry is if Clement gets a summer window then we could be here in a similar position next year.
My own take is by this point this team should be consistently doing better and especially against some of the lesser teams in the league and that’s me giving the manager some leeway with what he has inherited.
Not easy accepting a poor second in the league but that’s currently the way it is.

Coops first of all, that team on the park was good enough to beat st mirren. Its sbout hunger and desire.
They had more.
No excuses. You could see from minute 1 that they weren't at the races.
Secondly - some of the pkayers had to be rotated to manage their game time as they are prone to injuries and have played a lot of mins.
Then there's the player you mentioned bringing in short term. How many weeks/ games would it take him to get up to natch fitness?

Listened to the first half on the radio and according to the commentary it was very one sided, watched the second half on RTV somehow it was with DFC commentary but how can a team have so many chances on the break and not put them away even worse is when we outnumber the defenders.

scrambled we are creating the chances and will get better at taking them but I do agree. we sometimes take an age to make the pass but hoepfully all can be coached and confidence will improve us. i'd rather we got the 2nd goal as the end of the game is less stressful.
