This post won’t be popular but just seen the Dessers interview where clearly the guy feels like a “scapegoat” and how he felt at the club whilst trying to settle in to a new country. How he was being labelled the worst ever player to play for Rangers. Got me thinking, after reading some of the comments on here re him and Tav, what a horrible way to treat one of our own and making some lad feel like that when he’s only trying to do his best. Yes we may have better strikers than him but he’s stood up and never let us down, played every game he’s been asked to play. What use are out better strikers if they’re injured. And if he’s not good enough that’s the managers fault for picking him, not his. Disgusting way to treat our own.

Alloa that’s how bad we’ve got. I mean we’re not quite ready to start throwing fences at our players, at least it’s social media mostly but as a fan base I wish we were less entitled and actually applied some intelligence to our criticism. At some point we’ve lost the ability to grasp the level that we can attract. Yes we should be demanding more from the club than what we’ve had but on a player by player level, far too quick to write them off and say they’re garbage.
You missed Lundstrum out in that. Has he been poor? Yes. Has he had a break? No. As bad as he’s been, I think a fair few on here would have him in their top 5 this year. Prob says more about the rest tbf but he was brilliant for a spell. Dessers needed to settle but most fans had him binned off. We’ll get our money back, or close, for Dessers this summer if he’s up for grabs. Possibly not in the right league.

He’s had a solid first season and I hope he’s here next season, I agree that we need better up top but he certainly has a place in the squad if he wants to stay.
There’s a hell of a lot worse in our squad regardless of what the usual suspects stay.

Is 2nd every season now acceptable walter? Were getting roasted from them continuously do the players deserve a pat on the back? A wage rise maybe? Tav our worst ever captain offically. And yet continues to be rewarded.

People are allowed their opinions, Walter. yours is to defend Tavernier to the hilt regardless of how poor he is. Why are you taking it personally? It's as if you're just doubling down regardless of what he does on the pitch. I want to see my team win trophies regularly again and it won't be while he and many like him are still there, they are simply not good enough. New manager, new players, new captain, new era hopefully.

Assaults? To far! We pay our hard earned cash to follow rangers everywhere, if we don't think there good enough we are entitled to voice that. Do you think we should just pay our money and shut up? These guys get loads of money to play for our club, need to take the good with the bad. I'll take the blame for everything and you can abuse me every day of the week fir £20,000 a week. Who said he's the worst rangers player ever? Absolute nonsense, aactually a good player we just need better. He should play every game he's asked that's what he's paid to do Alloa.
