We have to sign players who undoubtedly can play in the scottish league and should without question be targeting players playing with other clubs in scotland, who can handle the vigours of scottish football ?We need more of them imo ? Some from other countries leagues just can't handle scottish football and it's less risk than bringing in foreign players who just can't adapt ?We can't get this rebuild wrong yet again ?.

Yes swso, get this one wrong and we could be in for a world of hurt mate. I really hope clement/ koppen know what they're doing, it's a huge job with not much room for error.

East belfast, gauld himself said he's not suited to the scottish game. Was very poor at hibs on loan. Doing great where he is. Very good pals with the Souttars though.

Gauld never hig the heights he promised as a lad. he has a good career at a level he can perform well in.
As Paul said he didn't have a great time here before and probably doesn't want to come back from USA.

Agree SWS we need to focus on a certain type of player that can handle the speed and physicality of the SPL, IMO wee Raskin has all the attributes to play in our midfield as he showed tail end of last season, let's hope he can kick on from here. Celtic got it right with their Japanese signings with their work rate, we have to match this, also agree no room for error with the first OF at Parkhead we are all scunnered constantly chasing them.

Celtic got it right with the Japanese players because their manager knew the market. I'm very concerned about Rangers at present. There doesn't seem to be much money left in the pot. We haven't moved forward as a club in the past 3 seasons, our only hope seems to be Celtic not spending money and improving and that really worries me. That season was our opportunity and it's been blown by a manager who lost the plot at an important time of the season.

Two out three ain’t bad, I’m not a McKenna fan myself, but I’ve only had fleeting glimpses of him when Forest played him occasionally, so my opinion is limited. I prefer the younger player trying to make his mark?

Boy Rice is good enough but not given a chance, who knows were Patterson would be now I've Tavernier never got that injury. Look at Archie Gray trusted at 16 in a better league and worth a fortune now. Get the youngsters in we've been promised for years instead of one or two games a season give them 15 to 20 games, nobody can tell me Rice, Lowry even Devine ain't good enough to play in an experienced Rangers team. It's time to improve our own players.

Barron I’d sign in a minute but don’t see him as a starter, plus lots of concern re his ability to stay fit. Overplayed as a kid, bit like rice, who should have a big season next

Celtic have won 12 of last 13 titles. I have not seen them needing to sign sub standard players from the SPL to do that. Yet some on here think this is the way forward.
Hardly a day goes by without a post on here saying shankland would have won us the league which I think is total nonsense.
We do need some homegrown players for Europe, beyond that I see no benefit in buying players from our league. Most lack the quality we need to progress and will be squad players at best.
