As much as we blame our defenders and strikers a lot on here and justifiable at times we hardly create chances in our midfield area and this is very concerning. We just play the side way safe ball a lot of the time with none of our midfielders breaking the lines with that killer ball, not too mention not shooting anywhere near enough ?It pains me to say it but that lot in the eastend of glasgow have hatate and o'riley who i have to admit are excellent midfielders who score and can produce that killer pass ?My worry and perhaps John227 could possibly enlighten us on this is ie. where do we generate the money from to get creative, goalscoring midfielders that will make the difference ? Anyone who knows anything about the beautiful game, knows that if you're midfield is good and top notch you'll win the majority of your games, as that's mostly where it's won or lost ?I truly think we need at least 2 class midfield signings, that will massively make the difference ?We most definitely rely on our captain james tavernier far too heavily to bale us out in the attacking end of the pitch ?We also need a class defensive mid and class right sided centre half who have the ability to cover tav when he's attacking the opposition, on our right hand side and thus our team functions much better/ more efficient and fluid ? That's what tav brings you if the balance of our team is spot on ?Thoughts guys.

Walter, no, he's pants, deal with it and move on, caught out too many times and getting on, get rid for me, your wanting others to cover his failings, aye he has an eye for goal, never a defender. IMHO.

Water we generate money for salary by getting rid of all players who r out of contract, those who when fit r first picks, they r never fit enough
Remember I said after Real Madrid friendly Jack woul seriously struggle to start ten games that season and was ot expected to ever start 20 in a season

Tavernier is a major part of the problems. Rewind the game from last night and watch how many times he gives the ball away. He’s now older so slower and defensively he’s a mare. Agree we need quality players brought in but we need of him and about ten others who are stealing a living.

Yeh, I agree Sir Walt, said as much in a reply post a few days ago . I'm not saying Tav is a world class defender but put a solid RCH, and a fit Ryan Jack in beside diomande and you'll see a different team. Unfortunately RJ will never be season fit again so we need to identify someone and I'm sure PC and Koppen can do that.
That said, Tav was poor last night by his own standards, Lundstrum has went back to his old form and Silva and cantwell not looking great. I'd give Sima leeway as coming back from injury and I thought McCausland made a slight difference. Think I might play Ross wide right, Matondi wide left and Sima either 10 or thru middle.
