So straight from the horses mouth. PC stating that loan market and free transfers is what we are in the market for.

Makes sense, we don't have money to spend £4-£5m on players.

This is what we have to get used to. We can't continue to spend money that we don't have.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 02 Jan 2024 19:00:15
So we can forget these thoughts of shankland, doig, mckenna, manoef etc ? I think the left back we will probably sign is kai wagner ?.

2.) 02 Jan 2024 19:10:03
Remains to be seen. I think we’ll see a couple of purchases.

3.) 02 Jan 2024 19:12:09
You are right but if we lose the league we go behind them for years and years with the CL money up for grabs.

4.) 02 Jan 2024 19:12:58
2nd place then.

5.) 02 Jan 2024 19:18:15
Same old story again.

6.) 02 Jan 2024 19:19:58
Where did he say this?

7.) 02 Jan 2024 19:32:07
Nowhere Andy because he never said that.

8.) 02 Jan 2024 19:42:06
Absolute nonsense yet again Abu Dhabi, where do you come up with this?

9.) 02 Jan 2024 19:42:55
I just watched the interview with him after the game and he mentioned nothing about transfers or what market we will be in. He did say he would never speak about potential targets or mention any transfers in the press because they produce rumours.
Again I smell poop.

10.) 02 Jan 2024 19:57:14
Check his interview on the BBC website after the game.

11.) 02 Jan 2024 19:57:53
I think somebody is still drunk from New Year.

12.) 02 Jan 2024 19:59:44
Heard from a source inside the club today who said we won’t be signing Shankland or Doig - both are out our price range.

Doesn’t sound too promising going into the transfer window tbh.

13.) 02 Jan 2024 20:01:26
I find that hard to believe.
We are not bad financially and we have had European money as well.
Also I can’t see that Clement would have been too sold on coming to us is he wasn’t going to get the opportunity to bring in some new players for fees.

14.) 02 Jan 2024 20:01:55
People agreeing with a guy making up lies is hilarious.

15.) 02 Jan 2024 20:02:19
I believe we have money to spend on the right player.

16.) 02 Jan 2024 20:04:23
Aye AbuDhabi - neigh bother.

17.) 02 Jan 2024 20:06:34
“It's free agents and the loan market that we'll look to try and exploit. It’s Mcinnes who said that post match.

18.) 02 Jan 2024 20:22:09
AbuDhabiLoyal, if clement said no such thing why are you coming out with stuff like that pal ? what's your agenda? ?

19.) 02 Jan 2024 20:22:46
Looks like he said it on the BBC report. I just read the article there. Somebody says the hotel has been booked from their source do they know which signings we are interested in? I was hopeful of getting manhoef tbh.

20.) 02 Jan 2024 20:25:29
I've watched the three interviews and he didn't mention anything about loan market free transfers? What have I missed?

21.) 02 jan 2024 20:27:09
utter nonsense, no way did clement risk his reputation on a job where he can only be 2nd, there's plenty cash, whether he spends it in jan is another matter

in fact i believe there's millions went in only this week, why are rangers fans still peddling this “ skint” rhetoric, does eufa not pay us now, what about the 100m per season turnover, if they told clement today that were skint he would walk tomorrow,

22.) 02 Jan 2024 20:29:14
What you on about? I just watched his press conference and he says nothing of the sort.

23.) 02 jan 2024 20:33:03
so, only months ago we spent over 10m, now with a new manager and obviously getting rid of players you say we can't afford to buy anyone, u want to bet?

24.) 02 Jan 2024 20:46:28
The manager never said this at all.

25.) 02 Jan 2024 20:49:47
Never said anything about transfers after the game.

26.) 02 Jan 2024 21:09:04
I call ??.

27.) 02 Jan 2024 21:15:02
My apologies everyone. I misread the interview comments. Apologies everyone.

No agenda at all.

#tailbetweenmylegs.

28.) 02 Jan 2024 21:18:49
He's misread the BBC website guys. Don't think he has an agenda. Just cannot read haha.

29.) 02 Jan 2024 21:25:04
Abu either your at wind up or need to read the full article. it was Derek McInness who said he's looking for a striker and he will look at the loan market or players nearing end of contract as there are good deals to be found.

30.) 02 Jan 2024 21:34:06
Well done for admitting your mistake mate.

31.) 02 Jan 2024 21:38:26
Yes everyone, I completely misread the interview and article. No agenda or on the windup. A mistake on my part and apologies to all.

32.) 02 Jan 2024 21:39:31
This is PC exact words from the BBC website:

"We're going to do some more business, " said Clement. "Everybody in the club is aligned around that and we have now one month to do the good business. "

Not sure how you can turn that into your opening post.

33.) 02 Jan 2024 21:40:24
Hold the front page! Man reads report wrongly! Get the guillotine ready.

I think some are really needing to chill on here. The guy made a balls of it, and owned his mistake.

34.) 02 Jan 2024 21:55:39
Raisetheroofe sometimes you respond to a post and it doesn't appear right away. I responded before he owned it and my reply appeared after. Its just a timing thing.
You know what it's like on here some people jump on the club for every little thing.
I saw barasic getting slaughtered in a post after the celtic game and he didn't even play.

35.) 02 Jan 2024 21:55:53
Sounds possibly like the interview gaffer names could have been mixed up, we all make mistakes, nobody is perfect, bit harsh throwing round agenda chants.

36.) 02 Jan 2024 22:12:30
Someone telling porkies again.

37.) 02 Jan 2024 22:30:59
We can’t go and spend big money after what we spent in the summer. We are being watched as it is for ffp.

38.) 02 Jan 2024 22:25:06
Abudabi do or Abudabidont?

39.) 02 Jan 2024 23:33:33
Gc1872 nope!

40.) 03 Jan 2024 02:23:31
That was last season but any fool can see we never spent that revenue as we didn’t have it yet.

41.) 03 Jan 2024 02:52:25
When I read the BBC article I also misread it and incorrectly attributed McInnes’s comments to Clement. Clearly an error in good faith by ADL. Hanging offence?

42.) 03 Jan 2024 06:05:48
surprised nobidy was accusing you of being a celtic fan.

43.) 03 Jan 2024 11:15:55
Abu, well done for saying u misread the article, we have all done that.

44.) 03 Jan 2024 11:31:16
Abu Dhabi is normally a very good poster on here, notmally has quite a bit of good info.
Anyone giving him a hard time here is just jumping on the bandwagon.
Guy made a wee daft mistake who cares man it’s not a big deal.

45.) 03 Jan 2024 11:36:22
Abu, yes well done for saying you made a mistake can easily happen. Can’t understand why so many appear to have agreed with your mistake, speaks volumes.

46.) 03 Jan 2024 14:24:32
Abu We have all made mistakes in some sort of way, It takes a good man to own up. ???????????.

47.) 03 Jan 2024 15:44:00
Abu more nonsense again. At least you admitted you were wrong this time, and the others.

48.) 03 Jan 2024 18:45:52
Yeah, fair play for owning up should have maybe reread after correcting other posters with false info though.

Takes balls to admit wrong though so fair play ?.

27 Dec 2023 11:53:32
Talking to a few lads who were at the game at Fir Park and seemingly Van Veen is a serious option at either a small fee or 6 month loan.

Growing concerns that Sima and Dessers will be away for up to 6 weeks.

Seemingly Clement is looking for 1 short term striker and potentially another with loan to buy.

Hearts have priced us out of Shankland, wanting £3.5m minimum. Club will be back in the summer of an offer around £2m.

Funds are tight and Clement is willing to wait until the summer to do his main business.

On another note, potentially Yilmaz will be heading back to Turkey via Galatasaray. Lon with option to buy for €5m.

Fully not expecting much business over January, funds are tight and a notoriously difficult window. Possibly a few loans here and there.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 27 Dec 2023 12:46:22
Sounds about right ADL. Van Veen short term with a view to Shankland some point. Barron been touted for a while. Would like to see Doig replace Borna/ Yilmaz. We might be able to get him from Verona loan with obligation to buy. He’s not getting much game time. We need a Scottish cohort in the team which is why I want Shankland. Lots out in the summer but expect 3 in over January.

2.) 27 Dec 2023 13:10:52
AbuDhabiLoyal, i read CoplandFront5 yesterday on here stating that there's absolutely no truth in rangers even wanting shankland ?I very much tend to believe him with the spot on info he gets from his very much trusted source, regarding all things rangers ?.

3.) 27 Dec 2023 13:39:25
Just passing on the info…. I heard it was a rumours site?

4.) 27 Dec 2023 13:50:48
SWS, I only have one decent contact left at Ibrox and he confirms what you and Copland are saying - we have never made an inquiry about Shankland, nor are we likely to.

5.) 27 Dec 2023 14:23:41
Totally hubby12 and we're not signing van veen either, absolutely no interest in him mate ?.

6.) 27 Dec 2023 14:38:37
I’m pretty sure Shankland will join us. Most likely in the summer. We need top class/ proven Scots in our team. Maybe Doig and Barron too.

Think Lowry’s ship is close to having sailed. Wright not up to standard and wouldn’t offer another deal. Jack is a man down too. Leaves us limited at European squad time.

7.) 27 Dec 2023 15:15:47
Might not be a bad thing the postponement guys. Get better rested and prepared for the big one on saturday. Better to have points on board and no fixture congestion but we will have more back after break.
A draw will do me on sat.

8.) 27 dec 2023 15:24:49
much as i respect hubbys imout and cf5 advice, i have been tol rangers have enquired about shankland on more than one occasion this season but the cost may well rule him out, whether the talks were including lowry or wright i don't know, but they have asked a question far as i know.

9.) 27 dec 2023 15:26:11
rangers won't be soending much on a striker, not while dessers lammers and roofe are on the books, but we need one.

10.) 27 Dec 2023 15:29:25
Walter I’m with Copland. Shankland not in top three striking targets.

11.) 27 Dec 2023 16:06:02
Shankland has absolutely been the subject of an enquiry from us. I’m good pals with AM the Hearts CEO who is also a good bluenose. We’ve been looking to do a deal before PC came in. Be a great signing at the right price for us.

12.) 27 Dec 2023 17:00:03
Abu Dhabi proven record of being terrible with these rumours. Wouldn’t listen to him.

13.) 27 Dec 2023 18:19:21
So John227, with you saying shankland isn't in our top 3 striker targets, i presume you know the 3 top targets mate ? If you do know who the 3 are, should we be very excited by them and how highly do you rate them yourself mate ?.

14.) 27 Dec 2023 18:33:11
Dessers is in the provisional Nigeria squad, I don`t think he will make the actual squad, he hasn`t been involved for a while .

15.) 27 Dec 2023 19:50:44
Ha ha BornaBear. You make me laugh. It’s a rumours site. Plenty of rumours and nonsense posted here that doesn’t come to fruition. Are you the rumour police?

16.) 27 Dec 2023 21:03:59
Abu your ‘rumours’ do more damage than good. Always negative about no money being spent. Made yourself look a fool in the summer with some of your ‘rumours’.

17.) 27 Dec 2023 21:20:58
Coming from the man who said Tillman signing was a stick on…. hence the reason it’s a rumours page….

04 Oct 2023 11:13:01
From my information there will be interviews conducted from tomorrow onwards with 5 candidates. 3 interviews will be held face to face in London and the other 2 will take place in Glasgow.

One via Teams and the other one face to face in Glasgow.

Davis/ Rae and Smith will be in charge up until the International Break and board will meet to finalise 2 man shortlist.

These two candidates will be put towards the board and a vote will take place.

Expect no announcement for at least 10 days on management appointment.

Forget the betting and the books that are being created.

As per my understanding the 5 candidates are Lampard, Muscat, McInnes, Ryan Lowe and Jensen.

I am sorry but none of the above fills me with confidence.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 04 Oct 2023 11:46:50
Abu D - who would be your choice?

2.) 04 Oct 2023 12:01:56
Are you sure Billy Davies isn’t on the list?

3.) 04 Oct 2023 12:05:30
1st choice Jensen
2nd Muscat
3rd McInnes

The other 2 are horrendous options.

4.) 04 Oct 2023 12:10:51
Apparently Lowe is already rulesd out.

5.) 04 Oct 2023 12:22:13
Thanks Abu Dhabi appreciate the info mate.

Looking at that list I noticed something, just jumped out at me.

Mccinnes - best of Scotland?

Jensen- best European?

Muscat- best outwith Europe?

Lowe- best championship?

Lampard - best commercial and unemployed?

That’s my take on that list, it’s like one from each possible environment.
Like the board have picked what they see as the top option from each.

Have to say none fill me with great excitement.

6.) 04 Oct 2023 12:23:16
Tough to be honest, think Jensen would be my preference but whoever comes in has a very difficult job on their hands.

We are a poor team and squad at the minute with a very bad summer transfer window just gone.

Asking players such as Davies and Wright to play when they were told they were free to move on etc just shows how badly the recruitment was managed.

New manager needs at least 4 transfer windows to make the required changes but we don’t have lots of cash either.

The next appointment has to be given time and not 1 year. We are a fair bit behind in terms of quality in our starting 11 and strength in depth.

In my opinion we lack creativity and first job would be to bring back Hagi and Lowry in Jan, then focus on the defence. 3 out of our 4 need to be replaced at the back. The time is over on selecting players on past form and loyalty.

7.) 04 Oct 2023 12:32:04
What about this other guy from Belgium that has been mentioned? Philippe Clement. He has a hell of a CV and I’m starting to see his name pop up more and more.

8.) 04 Oct 2023 12:45:42
Not sure who I would want but strike out Lowe and McInnes right away. I read recently that we looked at Peter Bosz before appointing Beale. That was a shocking decision, someone like that is what we need, a wily old veteran of a few leagues, who knows what he wants and how to get it. I know he has had money but the difference between the PSV side under him and the one we played last year under Van Nistelrooy is night and day despite them losing their two best players. I know we can`t get him now but it makes me wonder if Clement might be the right option as a man with similar experience in a few leagues.

9.) 04 Oct 2023 12:55:03
Won the Juliper league 3 times with Club Brugge and Genk.
He recently managed Monaco but failed to win any silverware.

10.) 04 Oct 2023 14:38:06
I just don’t believe mcinnes is on the list just can’t see he knocked could back before and his football is boring.

11.) 04 Oct 2023 15:18:35
Like the way AZ Alkmaar go about their football, can see why Pascal Jansen is being considered.
Either him or Muscat for me, the latter because he will know the market in the far east inside out.

12.) 04 Oct 2023 17:46:08
Abu exactly what I said regarding recruitment.

13.) 04 Oct 2023 18:53:47
Braid mcinness not even a top three managers in Scotland. He is behind martindale mcinness Robinson kettwell Brendan o ability.

14.) 05 Oct 2023 06:28:46
Can anyone answer if Clement speak English for me If no English then no job simple.

15 Jul 2023 18:04:45
Danilo and Cuefentes will be confirmed next week once Kamara and Sakala are offloaded this week for £8.5m combined.

Do not expect any more incomings unless CL group stages are confirmed.

Ignore the noise and accept the facts. Talks of £15m to spend are wide of the mark. We have multiple loans to pay back and this will be evident on our summer spend. Hence the reason we have been dealing in free transfers and loans.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 15 Jul 2023 18:17:04
So we are still not sorting the defence out that’s needed sorted for the last 2/ 3 seasons. If nobody comes in at centre back then be aswell giving them the league again.

2.) 15 Jul 2023 18:23:50
Absolute garbage, we have no loans to pay back at all. Everything converted to shares.

We have one credit facility like all clubs and that is underwritten by Bennetts company.

Scaremongering from our own support is horrific and too much time spent listening to fans from another club.

3.) 15 Jul 2023 18:23:57
What makes them facts, because you say so. There are others on here I'll believe ahead of you, sorry.

4.) 15 Jul 2023 18:39:28
No too sure you'll be correct but I hope you are. I suspect it'll. be weeks before we get Any of those you named, and that's even if we get them.

5.) 15 jul 2023 18:39:46
your facts ? naw ta .

6.) 15 Jul 2023 18:48:40
We've spent around £8m on 2 players

Free transfers aren't exactly free either, Sima loan will have a fee attached.

Danilo if signed will cost around £6m

Cifuentes will cost around £1.5m

Panzo will cost around £2.5m

We'll have spent well over £15m if all comes to fruition.

7.) 15 Jul 2023 18:52:39
And yet the manager said that he had a good budget to spend. As things stand we have spent £5.3 million net and if your ins and outs are correct we will probably be around another £1 million up, so that means we will have spent only £4.3 million . Hardly a good budget for a Rangers manager. I`m fed up with all this negative talk about loans to repay keeps being brought up . It has been used to explain where all the Bassey, Patterson and Aribo money went, where the Europa money went and now probably where the Champions League money went. Time will tell but we must have more money than this to spend.

8.) 15 Jul 2023 18:53:29
One loan, paid for Dessers and Lammers probably about 8m combined. Danilo will be 5m plus, cifuentes will be a fee north of 1m. A CB will be signed. Bosmans are also not free, the player gets paid. It’s said we are dealing in frees as if it’s a bad thing, we have signed good players.

9.) 15 Jul 2023 18:55:45
Abu, more will leave including McCrorie, Wright etc and we’ll bring in another CB.

We only have brought in one loan and have spent on Lammers, Dessers, and will be spending on Cifuentes and Danilo.

10.) 15 Jul 2023 18:57:12
Free transfers and loans? Get a grip. 1 loan is factually not ‘loans’ and free transfers I think factually Dessers and Danilo are not free transfers. Maybe you should take your head out the desert sand AbuDhabi.

11.) 15 Jul 2023 19:26:44
Will say it again, in terms of incomings and outgoings. The £15m you are all led to believe that we have to spend is a pipe dream. Slate me at your will, it’s fine but as the oracle says, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

12.) 15 Jul 2023 19:30:40
BornaBear - Butland, Dowell, Sterling and Balogun are not free transfers? Smell the coffee, we are broke and will not spend £15m this summer.

13.) 15 Jul 2023 19:46:25
Yes of course you are entitled to your opinion but when you say they are facts you look foolish.

14.) 15 Jul 2023 19:53:38
This summer. Forgive the spelling and rough fees

McGregor out of contract / Butland Free
Helander out of contract / Leon Free
Alfie out of contract / Dessers 1.5 million
Kent out of contract / Lammers 3 million
Arfield out of contract / Dowell Free
Sima Loan
Sterling Free

So we have spent 4.5 million. Would expect any cash that’s raised through sales to be spent but we need to start shifting players first or you’ve got a squad of around 32 feck sake. So not expecting the quoted 15 million without sales. I do believe however again like the last 2 years our capital projects will impact on the transfer budget i. e the expansion of the stadium. Probably wrong.

15.) 15 Jul 2023 19:54:47
Abu would you accept MB was given a budget regardless of who was sold? If no1 was sold I'd still expect daily and cifuentes in and tend to. agree based on mb comments about having 4 experienced ch in after balogun we may not see another ch and imo thatll be a massive mistake.

16.) 15 Jul 2023 20:31:39
It’s a pipe dream yet by the end of the window we will have spent it.

17.) 15 Jul 2023 20:32:02
If we get the players wanted over the next few days . we will have spent in excess of £15m. Those moaning need to behave themselves. We are still trying to fight the disaster we were left with years ago. Well done to the manager/ boars for this seasons incoming so far .

18.) 15 Jul 2023 20:41:45
Abu wee piece of advice mate, your opinions and guesses are not “facts”. as you’ve mentioned in quite a few of your posts of late. If it’s something that’s come from a source then say so. Otherwise we get a lot of misleading information doing the rounds here which takes away from the few with genuine connections who make a fairly regular and accurate contribution.

19.) 15 Jul 2023 20:59:17
Does it really matter what we spend as long as it is within our budget and MB gets players he has identified. spending for the sake of it will notmake us a better team, if MB gets say anther 3 players he has identified for 10m and we get in about 7m from sales, that would represent a good window within our budget, plus if I say if we could make group stage of CL that may release further budget. still have my doubts on MB but we all have to support him as our manager.

20.) 15 Jul 2023 21:14:49
Ifnwe get danil and cifuentes plus dessers lammers that's not far off 15 mill?

21.) 15 Jul 2023 21:18:28
Wouldn’t say we’ve hamstrung to free’s and loans. We’ve done smart business. Bringing in Butland, Sterling and Dowell as out of contract players but they are players that would command a decent fee if they had time on contract at previous clubs. Great additions and it has allowed us to then dig a bit deeper for Dessers, Lammers and hopefully Danilo. Smart business if you ask me.

I’m delighted with what we’ve done so far in terms of recruitment and the most pleasing thing is that a lot of it has been done early doors. If we can finalise Danilo, Cifuentes and Panzo then I woudont be expecting any more in the door unless we lose someone we were planning on retaining.

22.) 15 Jul 2023 21:32:51
Desser is more than 1.5.

23.) 15 Jul 2023 23:05:33
Aye let's spend millions on players when we can get them for free? Odd statement, usually followed up by, we're skint, etc etc. Really happy with the transfer window so far. Have plenty of confidence in Beales ability to pick a player.

24.) 15 Jul 2023 23:45:56
Free transfers and loans ?

Sorry but what planet you on?

Or you just a tim but dim?

25.) 15 Jul 2023 23:47:08
People need to realise budget is also spent on wages too I'm pretty sure jack butland would be cost quite a bit too.

26.) 15 Jul 2023 23:57:14
Windy dessers alone was 4.5
Lammers 3.5
Danilo 5.5
Cifuentes 1.5.

27.) 16 Jul 2023 08:47:37
Gc1873 totally agree been saying for a while now it's the defense not attack.

We have hardly won anything and the defense has stayed pretty much the same

Mcgregor
Tav goldson. ? Barasic

For years same 4 of 5 just left CB keeps changing.

28.) 16 Jul 2023 08:51:47
We do have the highest wage bill in the league

Which is crazy when we keep getting injury prone players and paying them for nothing.

29.) 16 Jul 2023 09:06:32
Paul cool. The last 2 aren’t in yet. I don’t have a problem with what’s happening. I just highlighted it’s really like for like and we need to trim that squad. The last 2 if on they come in will be covered by sales. Increasing our attendance is a must for FFP.

30.) 16 Jul 2023 10:40:05
It's like monopoly money chat on here.

31.) 16 Jul 2023 13:32:52
Have never looked at the finances but its hard to believe we have a higher wage bill than Celtic who have a massive squad even compared to ours . I suppose, maybe the Japanese / Koreans players are on smaller wages and they have a lot of those.

32.) 16 Jul 2023 15:19:33
What people are not adding on is Cantwell and Raskin they are technically this season signing as they were pre contracts but got brought in early with fees so Beale has probably had to agree that was partnon this summers budget away on them.

12 Jul 2023 04:21:41
Another bid for Danilo being submitted by the end of the week. Bid will be £4.5m with £1.5m in add-ons including a 10% sell on.

Feyenoord still looking for circa £8m for him. Seems like we are not content with the forward line just yet.

Proviso will be that if Danilo comes in then Colak will be leaving and looking to recoup at least £1.8m.

Let's see how it pans out. Feel sorry for Colak as he knows where the back of the net is but is not suited to what Beale wants from his forwards. As always he will leave with our best wishes.

1.) 12 Jul 2023 08:24:45
If another bid has gone in for Danilo then Colak is definitely going. Not sure it’s 8M I read more 6.5M. Don’t really get the rumpus with Balogun, he’s an emergency back up for injuries, played regular with Goldson in defence, no money sign on or transfer additions, knows and loves the club and will prob retire after this stint. No brainier till the A team arrive.

2.) 12 Jul 2023 09:21:10
A wee question guys ?If we hopefully do sign danilo?who in your opinions will be the no.1 central striker ie dessers or danilo ?.

3.) 12 Jul 2023 09:29:11
We will not be playing 1 striker mostly be playing 2.

4.) 12 Jul 2023 09:49:38
Might go 2 up front.

5.) 12 Jul 2023 10:01:46
Hard to tell SWS until the end of preseason. ATM prob Dessers but too early to speculate. Was hoping Traore would be there as he gives a different option but who knows.

6.) 12 Jul 2023 10:10:23
If we sign Danilo already have dessers and lammers then throw in sakala and roofe as we don’t know there situ yet. Colak will leave so it looks like 2 up top to me.
Strange one tbh unless both have diff attributes and will rotate to suit who we play against. I always thought 4231 but it’s shaping up slightly diff now.

7.) 12 Jul 2023 10:16:31
Danilo will play behind the striker. Dessers will lead the line and gives us options of Lammers, Sima, and Danilo to play as the inverted wingers that beale likes to use.
Since all 3 can also play as a centre striker it gives us some depth in case of an injury to dessers.

8.) 12 Jul 2023 10:16:48
I'd imagine dessert will be on the right of the 3.

9.) 12 Jul 2023 10:22:38
I think Danilo would be brought in to play the 2 split strikers, it wouldn’t necessarily be one or the other, split strikers is MB preffered formation. He just hasn’t had the personnel or the right players before. If you look at the attributes of both Dessers and Danilo you can see why MB would think that.

My personal opinion (which is garbage) is if we had the both it would be our strongest strike force pairing since the early 2000,s. And would be really exciting to watch. I’m still doubtful we will get him though. He’d be a massive fans favourite and would love to buy my son and daughter both new kits with Danilo on the back.

10.) 12 Jul 2023 11:00:34
I think it would be an ambitious signing but for me, Danilo isn't a player i'd be splashing £6m on. I thought he showed glimpses of quality however never held down a starting spot at feyenoord last year.
He is quite lightweight and i'm not sure will suit our game.

11.) 12 Jul 2023 11:13:01
We'll win nothing with same back four from last season.

12.) 12 Jul 2023 12:48:40
It was lack of goals that mostly cost us last season Ulsterblue and if you're thinking otherwise, u ain't digesting what mostly cost us trophies my friend ?.

A disappointing result today leaves us with a lot more answers than questions of the current squad and who is not available or not up to standard.

For us to move forward the following players in my opinion need to be moved on by start of next season :

McLaughlin
Barasic
Yilmaz
Jack
Dowell
Matondo
Lammers
Wright
Dessers
Roofe

Argue all you want but with the above names in our starting 11 we will never become the best team in Scotland for a prolonged period.

We lacked that cutting edge in attack and big PC must be pulling his "hair" out with how we lack the ability to be clinical when chances are there.

Dessers shouldn't have be watching the game let alone playing. Unfortunate the squad is so threadbare.

I think he will need minimum 3 transfer windows to implement a team that he wants. I hope to god that we can all give him the patience as we can't keep changing managers every 10 months or so.

It's still in our hands, let's not forget that. There will no doubt be plenty of twists and turns along the way.

Good list Abu, I’d definitely add Balogun and Davies, jury out on souttar.

2.) 30 Dec 2023 18:56:50
Would add cantwell to that list, not good enough!

3.) 30 Dec 2023 19:15:17
I'd add Cantwell to the list too.

4.) 30 Dec 2023 19:32:03
More than that not good enough.

5.) 30 Dec 2023 19:25:56
Might be time to take the hit and give most of these players and some others free transfers just to get them off the wage bill. Who in thier right mind would pay anything for some of these guys?

6.) 30 Dec 2023 21:21:11
Cantwell can’t do it in big games but he’s a good enough squad player for smaller games

I’d be looking at all injury prone player out the door is include raskin and Lawrence in that lot.

7.) 30 Dec 2023 21:42:27
Ted you can’t give someone with a contract a free transfer.

30 Dec 2023 11:19:51
Lundstrum and Goldson start. Cifuentes on the bench but no BB.

AbuDhabiLoyal

30 Dec 2023 10:17:16
Will say it now again lads and lassies. Will snap your hand off for a draw. It suits us much better than it suits that mob.

I hope we see Lundstrum and Goldson in the starting 11.

Time to stand up and be counted if we want to win the league. Come on lads, let's bring the thunder ?⚪️?.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 30 Dec 2023 10:45:19
I would take a draw all day long as it definitely suits us better. So, on that basis, I'm going for 1-2 to us. ?.

2.) 30 Dec 2023 10:47:29
0-2 Rangers.

3.) 30 Dec 2023 10:50:38
Agree. Would be delighted to get out the done with a point. If we get the 3 point the place will implode ???.

4.) 30 Dec 2023 11:00:26
Deffo take a draw, but I think we'll win 2-1, dessers with the winner.

5.) 30 Dec 2023 11:03:29
The guys will need to make sure there is no shirt pulling, especially in the box for obvious reasons. There's been enough reported about our lack of oens conceded that any dubious call will definitely result in a pen being given against us.

Just want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and may 2024 be a year of good health, well being and of positive outcomes in your lives.

A big shout out to those who are on their own at this time of year. Have a think of people less fortunate than yourself in between your Xmas dinner and treat others as how you wish to be treated yourself.

To everyone who has lost someone close, has struggled with physical and mental health and to those who are battling through this complex and fractured world in 2023 : I will raise a glass in your honour at 0000 on the 1st of January 2024.

I wish every fellow supported a joyful and pleasant time over the Festive Period and wish you the very best for 2024.

Much love from the sandpit.

J-zer, curious as to what Wright offers. His numbers are terrible. Granted he has scored 2 goals at Hampden. Can’t take that away from the lad but he is nowhere near the standard we need to progress.

He will only be kept due to the Europa squad. However if any offer comes in then he will be off in my opinion.

Incorrect. Plymouth paid £1m for him with a 25% sell on. We were never fully interested in signing Whittaker. Hence the reason no concrete but was forthcoming from us.

Just had a good chat with the eldest. He is convinced that Argyle may even reject the £10m if it’s forthcoming… mind boggling the prices for players in England.

My two sons live down in Plymouth and the eldest is a season ticket holder.

I have been to a few games with him this season and the general consensus amongst the fans was that he is very hot and cold. Sometimes he is non existent for games and there was a lot of frustration when he was playing against Stoke when Argyle scored a 96th min winner.

Plymouth broke the bank to sign him for only £1m with a 25% sell on clause for Swansea. Seemingly the interest from us was not strong and tentative enquiry.

Wish him well but £10m valuation is grossly inflated for him. More like £3-£4m tops.
