I'm hearing serious rumours that Munich will activate their buy back clause when we trigger our option for Tillman. We're set to net £4.5 million. We approached to make the deal early at some point last week but were advised by Munich that they are very likely to buy back. It's unclear if it's to play for Munich or if they've had a higher offer from another club which nets them greater profit than our straight transfer if they buy back.

Not sure that's how that works, as far as I'm aware the buy back clause is only applicable if we had made a permanent transfer for Tillman. Can't see why Munich would have to pay us to get their own player back from a loan. Perhaps the Ed can clear it up.

I don't think there is a fee agreed for the buy back clause. Just means that if rangers want to sell or there is interest then they get 1st refusal. If his value was to shoot up as hoped say for eg 15-20 we hardly going to have agreed to sell him for 10. If they think they can get more now they can just convince him not to agree terms with us them it's open season. So all down to Tillman.

Just to clear up some general misunderstandings I see regarding the MT and JS loan option to buy deals
First of my understanding is that the 5m fee to make either permanent is way off the mark, both deals have differing totals but neither of these are a fair representation of solely the transfer fee
Tillman's deal is around 10k (15k once permanent) in wages fully paid by us, 1 million loan fee, 450k sign on bonus 1.8m transfer fee, total over 4 million after permanent depending on a few performance related bonuses
Sands' deal is 8k fully by us (12k once permanent) wages 1.2m loan fee, 250k sign bonus and 1.3 million to sign, something like a total package of around 3.5 million total spend once permanent.

We all wanted quality above quantity, Beale stated it from the start. Players to improve the 11 and no short term fixes, we want players who are here for years to come. IMO we’ve got that in Cantwell and Raskin.
Between now and the summer Beale can assess who he really wants to retain. He’s yet to get a look at guys like Souttar, Lawrence, Hagi (see how he is after bad injury), Ridvan. Once all these guys are back Beale will have a better idea of what’s required for the summer and also who doesn’t get new contracts. Some are obvious but there will be 1 or 2 that he will have a question mark over.
Next step is offloading the players no longer required and identifying any pre contracts that can be tied down before the end of the season.
Think it’s been a positive window based on the 2 we’ve brought in now.

But every player has their price and I'm pretty sure the board have learned that lesson ( Morelos 18 mill) now 18 pence . Most of it relates to the guy that is now Spurs' sporting director Paratici. He was falsely inflating the value of the players on Juve's books by a huge margin as well as producing receipts for transactions that never happened. As it pretty much stopped once he left, hence the record losses they announced recently, I expect they will just be booted from European competition for a while. The question is whether any of them will be prosecuted, which is looking likely. Paratici is certainly looking in trouble as they wiretapped his protege and successor who basically revealed what Paratici had been doing in full.}

Not doubting the info about Roofe but along with the injury to Colak, it now becomes a priority to keep Morelos, and sign another striker in the current transfer window.
As far as I am aware it might be that Robbie Ure is the only other fit striker that has featured in the first team this season, but we have seen other young players feature recently but only coming off the bench.
Lots of work to be done by MB and RW but we have another 15 days of the transfer window to go.

I have to say I'm really disappointed with the comments about kemar roofe. Yes he is injury prone, but for rangers fans on this forum to say he is a faker is bang out of order. Having experienced a broken elbow myself from a fall similar to roofe I know how easy it is to get badly hurt. My hospital doctor said when you put your hand down to brace from the fall you can break your wrist, elbow or collar bone and if you're unlucky all 3.
It's unfortunate but here's hoping it's not a break.

You never know … the injuries could be behind him …. and we lose such an asset because of speculation. I would leave it to the manager to decide . Just my opinion.

There isn't a rule where you can't play in europe if you don't have enough home grown players. I would mean that your bench is weaker. Having youth players on the bench in the champions league in my opinion is the same as having nobody on the bench. Who could we realistically target, that would improve the team at the champions league level, who is Scottish?

I never understand these arguments, we made more from keeping Morelos than 16m, we made plenty off his important European goals, you keep him to get value by qualifying and advancing instead of a transfer fee, perplexes me that people don't understand this, Kent is the same helped get us get to a euro final made far more than 7m for the club across his time here, transfer fee is still quoted like it's relevant.

Can assure you a settlement will not be required, he had an operation over a year ago and after recovering they have disagreed with whether he is good to play, settlements would come in if he's asked to play and dies with the clubs knowledge of his condition, this is where the mistreatment comes in, he feels like he isn't being given a chance, shunned to an extent.

It's the club, my understanding is that he would like to play regardless of his diagnosis, isn't really interested in the professionals option and wants to get on with it, he's supposed to have an abnormally large heart and had a ventricular resection about 16 months ago, he believes he's good now the club and experts do not.
