I was also told that we have scouts watching up to 6 young scottish players. The funny one is that one of the players we are watching plays for that other mob, but he is one of our own. I. e a Rangers fan. Maybe John has more of a insight into who we could be looking at as the individual never gives names.
I had a very long and interesting chat with this individual.
Some exciting times ahead. Re development,
Including academy's being setup and being placed throughout the world, working with local communities and developing and working with new talent is one area we are looking at, this would be privately funded. Ex foreign players are being sounded out re doing the badges and will be employed within these academies. Rangers will always have first refusal on any talent that comes out of these academies.
Lots of other stuff about the Scottish government, re red tape, work permits ect anyway the usual pinch of salt applies guys.

What an interesting post.

2.) 05 Feb 2024 17:18:28
Excited to see if anything becomes of this - far too few players have stepped up to the first team and remained in our squad for any length of time in the last decade even.

3.) 05 Feb 2024 18:39:15
Cp175 managers need courage like gio with bassey

Clement certainly looks like he has the bottle to do it too.

4.) 06 Feb 2024 08:46:47
Interesting stuff Stewartyy.

5.) 06 Feb 2024 09:01:45
Was it courage with Bassey, was it not just necessity at the time and Bassey then stepped up to the plate.

6.) 06 Feb 2024 09:18:52
Bit of both I think, big man fair stepped up though.

Hey guys was told tonight that baligon and Jack will be offered rolling one year extension mainly for cover and there leadership influence within the dressing room. Lunny has be offered a 2 year extension, but wants 3 to 4 year contract taking him up to aged 34 as would like to finish his career at Rangers. The rest who's contract are about to expire, will be allowed to leave.

1.) 04 Feb 2024 22:09:19
If we get that boy Barron I reckon we would let Jack go we have bailey rice aswell.

2.) 04 Feb 2024 22:22:12
Think ryan jack is a very good player amd 1 of my favourites. Butnhes injured far to often there's no way he should get a new deal we need to move forward. This hanging on to players far to long needs to stop.

3.) 04 Feb 2024 22:26:51
Will trust the managers decision on all of these. For me I would let Balogun and Jack go now with a thank you for their service. Would be happy to see Lundstrum offered a 3 year deal.

4.) 04 Feb 2024 23:16:16
Cooper got to say balagun has been good this season unless we have a better replacement I'd keep him jack I love but I think the injuries are killing us in a season it's disrupted the consistency of the team too often.

5.) 04 Feb 2024 23:18:04
Jack well worth a squad place if he retires from international duty after euros.

6.) 05 Feb 2024 00:40:57
Would only keep Jack if we can get him on a contract for less than 5k a week basic with bonuses if he actually plays.

7.) 05 Feb 2024 00:59:13
I’d keep jack on a vastly reduced basic contract and bonuses for meeting fitness requirements
Something that is fair all round. Not just for us.
If he is fit he gets paid . If he doesn’t go for that he’s free to leave

Balogun is on a low wage anyway and is more than deserving of being 4th choice defender next season, aslong as we sign a real top class cb to start with Goldson or even 2 new starters and move Conor on along with Davies.

8.) 05 Feb 2024 01:23:26
Ludicrous to consider giving Jack another contract.

9.) 05 Feb 2024 01:59:29
Unless we're paying Jack in freddos he's not worth extending. Likely far more reliable and cheaper squad options in the summer.

10.) 05 Feb 2024 05:21:08
Jack is on around 8k I believe he would take 4/ 5k a week as it is more than he would get elsewhere for comparison Lowry is on around 6.5k a week who is more likely to actually play in regards to balogun would keep him before Ben Davies a 3 year contract for lunny would be ok but would be adding in some sort of clause like in his last year can get payed off for like half of his years wage incase he chucks it.

11.) 05 Feb 2024 06:22:29
The manager is building a young squad of players keeping these 3 are a no brainer to me. Managing Jack's game time to 20 games a season is the answer.

12.) 05 Feb 2024 07:22:05
Silva- Signing a player for 20 games would need to be on a pay per play basis (can't have someone playing a half to a third less games than anyone else but on a big salary) - we have played on sentiment for too long and that's one of the reasons we have trailed the Eastenders over the years - this needs to stop and we should only resign players if they give definitive benefit to the team moving forward - I feel PC will start to manage this situation better as we can't have half a team of hangers on any more if we want our club to truly progress. I love what most of these players have given to Gers but time moves on and so must we.

13.) 05 Feb 2024 08:14:26
Football wise Ryan Jack isn't on a big salary. If we bring in Barron the boy will need time to settle I'd personally keep Jack but its ultimately the managers call.

14.) 05 Feb 2024 08:26:50
1 year rolling contract for Ryan Jack?
Depends on the details of the contract to be fair on both Parties but I’m open minded about it.

15.) 05 Feb 2024 08:35:13
Not for me jacks time should be up.

16.) 05 Feb 2024 08:39:12
We should have done that with Arfield he deserved it.

17.) 05 Feb 2024 09:09:52
No please no, why are we hanging on to sentiment. time is up for Jack as he is now a liability. if he was on a pay for play contract fine but i would be against paying him to sit in the docs office.

18.) 05 Feb 2024 09:44:51
For me, Jack remains the best midfield option at the club. I would far rather see him get the new deal than Lundstram. I've been told that Lundstram is likely to move to Gerrard's team in Saudi anyway.

19.) 05 Feb 2024 09:48:52
I would happily give Jack another year - perhaps on a pay per play basis. He played well on Saturday and started the move that set up the 3rd goal. Good experience in the dressing room.

20.) 05 Feb 2024 10:12:55
Lets give roofe a new deal too then?

21.) 05 Feb 2024 11:59:10
TBH never heard of a player getting a rolling contract seems strange to me.

22.) 05 Feb 2024 12:15:55
Balogoun on a very low wage ( for our players ), possibly makes more with appearances, I hope so has deserved it, when you think what Davies will be on, we give out contracts and once it’s signed they are due it I suppose just a shame the amount of waste of money are not kicking a ball for us.

23.) 05 Feb 2024 12:33:54
Balogun needs to be given a coaching role. He knows the score and is a very intelligent footballing man.

24.) 05 Feb 2024 14:56:07
I wouldn't give either of them a new contract. Jack can't stay fit and the only reason that Balogun would surely get a new contract would be if we don't sign a quality centre back. Davies should go and we should be signing two quality new centre backs with Souttar and King as back up assuming that Clements rates them.

25.) 05 Feb 2024 15:46:21
Happy to leave it up to big Phil and support his decision.

26.) 05 Feb 2024 16:10:51
Jack our best midfielder? Going of what the 60 mins he’s played this season utter nonsense.

27.) 05 Feb 2024 16:44:14
Jack helps with home trained quota for euro squad, we already lost 3 places in the euro squad due to not meeting the quota of 8, if we punt him he needs replaced with another Scottish trained player and not many out there as good as him so for me it’s a no brainier to keep him.

28.) 05 Feb 2024 18:40:56
I’d say replacing goldson a priority already would have been away but clubs the standard he wanted didn’t come in for him.

29.) 05 Feb 2024 22:56:49
Born a blue but were do we get money for a Scottish midfielder to replace jack especially when most of our budget will again go on forwards

Silva only a loan
Sima a loan
Cortes a loan
Monies will be due for diomande

Jack getting us through another year for Scottish quota makes sense.

30.) 05 Feb 2024 22:57:59
Also jack has been more available for squad than raskin has at his time with our club.

11 Jan 2024 02:51:13
Just thought I would post this. I normally speak to a individual that works within ibrox. However this has come from a friend that has spoken to him. So basically third party, so usual pinch of salt applies. He told me that Rangers are currently in discussion with 2 players on pre contracts. They will not be coming to ibrox in this window as the their positions, rangers have adequate cover atm. We are currently in talks with 2 forwards, 1 winger and 1 midfielder, 1 defender. If all five agree then only 3 or pos 2 will be signed.

In the summer a complete overhall of the youth team players with several new signing from talent from across the globe being looked at. Current youth team 3 will be promoted to the first team. Clem aim is to promote one or two per season and that only between 2-3 main signing will be made per window. Focusing mainly on experience and quality. However if any serious injuries acure this number will be revisited. Also discussion with 3 teams, one from Holland one from Germany and he mentioned Chelsea regarding a collaboration with regards to the youth team. With youth players moving between the clubs on loan.

There will also be a overhall of our fitness and medical teams with new appointments expected.

1.) 11 Jan 2024 04:57:18
Nice one, thanks for this Stewart.

2.) 11 Jan 2024 06:27:58
The fitness and medical dept is a no Brainer with the amount of injuries and silly niggles, never seen it so bad. good to have a strategy to promote youth and if they see the pathway guaranteed for a few they will work harder to get there. Certainly sounds promising.

3.) 11 Jan 2024 06:49:26
Agree with most of your points Stewarty re:-youth it's all good and well bringing in talent that enhances the pool, but is there not a case for more grass roots in the wider area like prospects at smaller teams for development, also the fitness thing is a no brained as Gersgirl says, might possibly have been a beale hangover.

4.) 11 Jan 2024 07:37:25
Good info mate.

5.) 11 Jan 2024 09:05:03
Great info Stewartry, thanks for sharing!

6.) 11 Jan 2024 10:14:29
Thanks Stewartry. Fingers crossed.

7.) 11 Jan 2024 12:52:06
I can see the benefit of our youths being swapped to other countries to get games and experience but what's in it for the other clubs, there is no league here for players over 18 so where would they play. What we should do is try to organise our B team or U21s to play in a league outside this country and see if the SFA have the brass neck to stop us when they can`t be bothered to organise anything themselves.

8.) 11 Jan 2024 13:50:21
Good info stewartyyblue12 ?I've just been told myself that we're going to be linking up with chelsea in a partnership, for the reasons just like you stated earlier mate ???.

9.) 11 Jan 2024 19:00:58
Excellent information and very welcome. A complete overhaul of our Medical and Fitness Setup and our youth strategy is long overdue.

10.) 11 Jan 2024 19:04:24
Not signing bosman injury prone players would be a start to our fitness worries.

Another poor show tonight. I can't think of any of our team apart from butland that's managed more than a 5 out of 10 in the last 4 games. maybe second half against them.

On Clem I think he has got his selections wrong and is tinkering with the team to much.

On the positive side, when clem came in. If you would have told me we would only be 3 points behind going into the split, I think most would agree, we would bite your hand off.
Maybe the cup will be a welcome break from the league but things will need to improve big time. I also think that they will drop points also. So still all to play for guys. As it stands they are massive fav for the title but fav don't always win.

Stewartyyblue12

1.) 18 Apr 2024 00:48:20
so far clement has followed in the footsteps of the past few managers and his record highlights that. they have all got a tune out of the players when there is zero pressure on them. then when we get into an actual battle we bottle it and clearly manager included. we even bottled the league under Gerrard and won with no fans. is this just coincidence or is there really more to it?

2.) 18 Apr 2024 00:53:21
I would agree Stewarty, it’s all about perception. Everyone said when PC came in that the cup double would be a success and that is still possible. The league is still possible as well, although not on current form, but you never know. I’m hoping the players think they can’t win it anymore because that when they play their best ?.

I’m going to go ahead and say it because someone else will and I’ll get slaughtered by many, but IF we signed a certain Hearts striker I believe we could’ve been out of sight.

3.) 18 Apr 2024 00:56:57
Matondo and McCaulsand must start on Sunday Stewarty only wingers willing to take responsibility and take a man on/ have a shot.

4.) 18 Apr 2024 06:28:20
Sunday can't come quick enough for a hearts team looking for revenge after the last game, we aren't exactly putting the fear of God into anybody, and they will hit us from the first whistle. time for our whole team to show some Bawz!

07 Apr 2024 13:01:17
Defence apart big clem got the team wrong no balance either matondo or sima should have started roofe if not injured should have been on the bench. Cantwell should have started when they seen that mcgregor was on the bench.

Silva off sima on

Cantwell on lawrence off

Diamonte off bb on Sterling in midfield.

Stewartyyblue12

1.) 07 Apr 2024 13:15:12
If you want Borna on you seriously have no clue.
And I’d be willing to bet you slaughtered Cantwell in the last old firm game.

2.) 07 Apr 2024 14:24:14
Our starting line up was wrong. Sorry, but starting with Wright is like playing with 10 men. We should always go with our best eleven, Matondo or Sima should have started. Not sure about midfield; I can understand the arguments for starting with Lawrence but personally I would always have Cantwell in my team.
At the end of the day we got a draw which we wouldn't have expected given our poor first half.
We just need to keep winning from now until the end of the season and hopefully we will have more players back from injury.
Come the summer we need to sign a new centre back and we must sign Sima permanently. He is the quality we need.
There also needs to be a clear out of those players that simply are not good enough, (assuming we can get rid of them)!

Very nice spoof Stewarty, or is it truth? ??.

2.) 02 Apr 2024 09:38:56
It's the kamikazi instructor i feel sorry for. Right lads every1 pay attention. i'm only gona show yoh this once.

03 Mar 2024 17:19:39
Usual it's all the referees fault. Didn't hear them complaining when Sterling was sent off or when a pen was awarded for the lunny hand ball. But lunnys was a stonewaller and sterling should be banned for 50 matchs for the career ending challenge.

Stewartyyblue12

1.) 03 Mar 2024 17:34:57
You get red cards if youu tackle 2 inches higher than the foot. But face height is never a red lol. The hearts guy wasnt even ducking down and he's made contact.

2.) 03 Mar 2024 17:50:41
To he fair, if that red card was for one of our players, or we had a penalty given against us for that handball, we'd be up in arms - Infact, we were after Lundstrum's handball, and Sterling's red card.

Two things that are glaringly obvious in Scottish football are that that the refereeing and var are both horrendous.

3.) 03 Mar 2024 18:15:20
Neither of the two pens were penalties to me but the red is one you risk if you’re stupid enough to raise your boot that high doesn’t help seen the guy coming… well helps us haha! All this weekend has given us (apart from 1 goal further clear in goal difference) is we now need to beat Hearts after the split or Celtic need a home slip up to level this weeks results off.

Would I have taken a defeat each, not really but we’ve not lost ground and get to watch them cry now so not a bad weekend!

4.) 03 Mar 2024 18:44:55
2 pens today weren’t IMO if they were both against us we would be raging and the sending we would be raging also.

5.) 03 Mar 2024 19:08:57
Last month, St Mirren had a player sent off for connecting with Joe Harts coupon.
And to a man every Celtic supporter thought it was a red.
This week, the Celtic players boot is at double the height and it’s a case of ‘nothing to see’. ?.

6.) 03 Mar 2024 19:51:32
It was a straight leg at head height always a red, the two pens were soft but pens to be fair, the Celtic boy got in front of defender and got contact and the Hearts pen hits the boys arm outwith body and diverted ball, still be ragin if pens were given against us but red card is just one of those things, boys does not mean anything but can’t raise ure leg that high.

7.) 03 Mar 2024 20:07:06
Bad ref decisions and var decisions happen to us all and even themselves out through the season ?Not unless you support that paranoid bunch from the eastend who are "always cheated,
never defeated"?That lot are incredible and live in a bubble and it's always poor celtic ?My message to them is grow a pair and take your medicine!

8.) 03 Mar 2024 20:10:34
Tic boss not happy at all.

9.) 03 Mar 2024 22:13:19
I should have said going by rules hearts one is but the rules is wrong.

10.) 04 Mar 2024 03:05:31
We desperately need a left CH and the boy Rowles at heart fits the bill for me. Plenty pace and Aussie international, I rate the lad. Would still take Shanklands too. He'd score a load for us. Apart for that I do t think we're far off.

29 Feb 2024 05:27:19
As per usual the BBC up to their usual unbaise editing, showing the Raskin challenge so that it looks like a pen for Killy. Wonder why the didn't show the other angle from the rear that clearly shows Raskin clearly winning the ball with a great well timed tackle. Also wonder why Mayo clear out stretched hand ball, that was more of a pen than lunnys was not shown. Strange that. The referees in this country are totally shocking as is certain media outlets. Just love the fact that all the text I recieved with the dims up 6 nil and us down 1 nil at half time claiming the usual. Back in your box. Can u see us now. no, well just look up. In Clem and Captain tav we trust.

Stewartyyblue12

1.) 29 Feb 2024 07:29:01
VAR and pens have officially gone mad in my eyes.
A jump from Lundstram and ball strikes his elbow when he is facing away from goal is a stonewaller - after a moment of madness by BB.
Yet a ball off Mayos arm and then playing basketball move by CH Finlay, neither count as a penalty - cannot fathom these out?
Anyway a great result - hopefully Cortes is ok and injury not severe, as the boy was coming onto a game - he seemed to be slipping a lot last night so plastic pitch and conditions would not have helped.
Time to focus on Sat and get 5pts clear again - this will still be a tough ask vs Motherwell but our crowd need to be the 12th man. Over to you PC- let's weave the magic again!
PS - Where do you want your statue put Tavs? You continue to amaze.

2.) 29 Feb 2024 07:53:17
According to the darkside Stewarty the BBC are biased because they DIDN'T show it, couldn't make it up, must be a different BBC for them, fantastic tackle, aye it looked a pen but ref and var spot on for once, although thought Mayo one was a pen.

3.) 29 Feb 2024 07:56:46
BBC commentator also let his guard down shouting 'YES', at lunny penalty. tut tut.

If we activate the 2 loan to buy options plus looks like we could be interested in another year loan for fabio and poss sima loan or buy if the price is right. We have also commitment to buying jef, then there won't be a lot of money left. Hopefully Lammers and cifu and poss hagi will be sold also think that ridvan and Davis and mcCrorie will be sold on. So with jef we will only have one left. So striker leftback goalie and poss left sided centre half needed unless we are promotingfrom within. Right wing also may need addressing if wright is moved on.

I said earlier in the week that rangers where in talks with regards to raskin in a swap deal with a Belgium club. No target players name was given. Maybe this was the reason for buying diamonte or am i just adding 2 plus 2 and coming up with 5.

From what I have been told. Rangers/ Clem have no interest in Shankland. Clem is happy with Dessers and see potential in Danielo.
From the information I have gotten, Clem is looking for a roofe type forward ie a penalty box striker.

Another rumour I have heard ( not from my usual source) That Rangers could be looking at a possible swap deal with a club in Belgium involving Raskin.

Listening to clems presser today, I don't think shankland is a target as no resale value due to his age. He spoke about targets that will increase in value and make the club money. Shank does fit that model. I maybe wrong.

I'm not saying I'm right but jesterj as in jester joker and given that a lot of their fans having been having a pop at our new 3rd kit top. Posting that we are supposedly interested in a player called keke topp sounds a bit suspicious to me but maybe I'm just cynical. Hopefully jesterj is a genuine poster that contributed to the site.

Mr pot you are the man for stats it would be interesting to see since 2012 the stats on glasgow derbies ie played, pens, red cards, booking, . Who The referee was ect. I think I seen somewhere that collum has refereed 8 with rangers not winning any.
Celtic fans and their manager stated that the officials cost celtic a victory against hearts.
Im guessing that when you pull up the derby stats, they will be heavily weighted in celtic fav.
Can any celtic fan give me a reason for this, when according to them referees a bais in fav of rangers, when as stated that referees can influence results with their decisions.

Think we will try and get silva and sima loan extended for another year. We will also have Cifuentes and possibly Hagi, and also possibly Tillman, Bassey and Paterson sell on fees. Plus the euro run money. So should be ok.

Totally agree lith just this week they report J butland forest bid 5.5 mill same outlet o, rielly to Italy for 20 mill. That's orielly that like the rest of them was utter pish in Europe
The media have doing it for years. i'm sure they where reporting teams interested in 4 mill pound bassey. Alfie was top scorer in europa yet all we heard was 5 mill bids

Ive said for years that our club need to be highlighting this and calling it out.
