Got slated at start of window when I told you all that my source told me 2 first team starters, the rest will be loans, projects or squad players also said that 2 lists of targets one being if we qualify for CL. Had we qualified another 2 first team started would have been added.
We need to understand regardless of who is to blame. Reducing the wage bill was priority no 1 in this window as we where sailing close to the wind regarding ffp.
Moving to hampden has cost the club a lot also the out of court deal hummel and The stadium upgrade completion
I know we all wanted more players in but we have signed 10 players so far, hopefully another couple to be added in last few hours.
The team we had out against RC was OK but look at the players that where not playing Ridvan, Baligon, propper, cortes, Raskin, ingamane.
I seriously think we will be OK as Barron, cerny, jefte and diom have all been good. Add the above is IMHO the making of a good team.

Stewarty I accept all yiu say but our manager was clearly not on the same page as the board and its clear this rebuild has been. more a cost cutting exercise made worse by the mistakes of our board.

Evening guys heard a new name today, that we are apparently interested in a Moroccon player 28 year old LW/ SF Soufiane Rahim. Value at 8 mil euro but in last year of contract. Has been offered a contract in Saudi but wants a crack at europe. Apparently soufi and Igamane have had discussions about the possibility of him coming to the gers.

Spoke to my usual source. Was told that Rangers are working on several deals atm, (nothing new there) but he stated that all the deals are seen as squad players. He then said that 2 first team starters will be signed. Rangers have 2 lists for these 2 players, one list for, a budget of us qualifying for CL and the other is if we don't.
He indicated that Sima was on the CL list.
His information is usually spot on, so just a wee update as usual no names where given as it was myself that mentioned sima and he responded with a smile and a wink lol
I also asked about external investment. He stated that there was interest from various parties but all has gone quite on that front.

If Rangers signed two quality wingers that could contribute 15+ each, the way Sima just did, we would win the league. Last season there was far too much reliance on Sima up until he got injured, and a real lack of anything from a wide area once Sima was injured.

Doesn’t always work out anyway regardless of whether you think they are starters or squad players. Nothing is guaranteed with anyone who signs. Take last year for example, some of the big high profile signings were abysmal but Dujon Sterling who was a free transfer, that couldn’t get a game in his proper position, ended up arguably being our best player, playing out of position!
What we need is quality and value for money. There will be cheap deals we can do in certain positions and that will likely dictate where the majority of the signing budget is spent. Last year we needed a top quality keeper and got one on a free transfer, so it aloud us to spend in other areas, unfortunately it wasn’t spent well. But it will be the same this year due to number of players required.
I’d expect us to continue trying to get a number of players who are either out of contract or nearing that stage so it’s a cut price deal, then reevaluate what we still need in the squad before any big fee signings are announced.
It’s a bit more complicated due to size of rebuild and the budget we work with unfortunately. That’s where Koppen and PC will need to perform well.

All this bull crap that we have no money. At present we have far 2 many players and most of these players are on high wages. We can't just keep adding to our squad and paying out more wages. Bennett has already stated that we need to reduce our wage bill and big Phil has stated that our squad is bloated in certain areas. Players will be sold or moved on and new players will be added.

Stewarty it will be 1 in 1 out we're definitely not bloated though looking at the squad on paper. Would imagine we have too many fringe players not enough starters. We nearly have an 11 that is reasonable but there's no one outside that that doesn't give me the fear bar goal keepers.
I'd take another CB if one leaves. Think we need another AM if cantwell and Hagi goes and a ruthless striker .

I'm really starting have real worries/ concern about our team and PC. Very similar to beale. We don't appear to have a playing style- identity within the team. To many of our players appear very similar and deviod of ideas.
We are very predictable and easy to play against. The high press is leaving our middle and wide areas very exposed when the opp beat the press.
I get phil wants to see some of the players but we are 10 days away from start of the season. For me at least 7 or 8 players that will start the game against hearts should be starting tonight. Then on the hour make the changes.

So my brother is a celtic fan and we watched the city game last night and albeit against a youthful city team, they had almost their strongest team on and was easy to see what they were trying to do.
I'm a big PC fan but he is starting to worry me as we have no style, too many players pass and stand still, we look very fragile every time we are attacked, players look as unfit as last year under MB. Not to mention he keeps changing the damn team, we need a consistent team starting and building up cohesion but it's a shambles so far.

Hopefully our 6.3 mill striker danilo can remain fully fit. Prior to this seasons friendlies, he has played 14 games in scotland 12 in the league and 2 in the cup. Out of the 14 games he has only started 5 games. He has 5 goals and 2 assts. That's a 7 goal contribution in 14 games, in which he only started 5. Hopefully we can get sima over the line as that would give us a forward line of cortes, danilo, sima. With McCau, dessers and the Moroccon boy as back up. I for one would be happy with this front line for the first half of the season. Another striker in Jan. Priority for me is Sima and proper 6 Hopefully the boy from seville and 1 poss 2 new C/ H and poss a 10 or another left winger.

Onewalt I posted a few weeks ago that the information from my source the squad was bloated and players will need to be moved. That 2 first team regulars ie marquee signing will be made. Any other signing with be development and squad rotation players and free agents that will poss have a sell on value.
I also posted around Dec that our whole transfer policy will be changing, new scouts, and the medical team will be upgraded.
PC interview basically confirmed mostly all that i have posted previously.
Our fans better get used to the fact that if 3 or 4 players have a bumper season and are at the top of their game, they will be sold and replaced with another development player.

Wee funny story. I was in florida the day we won 9 in a row. Logged into Internet ( old squeaky modem) to find Rangers supporters club. Only one that came up was a pub called the fox and hound, an hours drive from the hotel.
So family got dumped and off I went. When I arrived there was one couple in the bar. I asked the barman re the rangers supporter club. He replied all they were in earlier but have gone home the whole 4 of them. You can imagine how gutted I was.

I don't agree with most fans, that tav is that bad a defender, but you know there is a however coming. His main prob is he gets caught up field and hasn't got the pace or right sided mid that has the savy to slot in. Against better teams, they exploit this, resulting in our back line having to shuffle over one to cover, leaving our left side exposed. Against union was a prime example, where jefte was exposed as he had to move in one. How many goals have celtic scored with a cross coming in from tav side and a player popping up on our exposed left.
What should happen imo is rain him in esp in big games with pacy wingers. Signing a prop no 6 will also help. It no coincdence that tav best performences where when Ryan
jack was full fit and playing as he had the savy to slot in or drop back to cover or right ch going out.

Was 2.36 euros and jefte was 800k euros we will also have to pay the sheep between 500k - 850k so very close to 8 mill pounds. With no player sales. We all want signing in but not going happen until players are sold and it's established, what level we get from Europe, either CL cash or Europa cash. This will dictate what level of players we go for.

I believe we will go into the start of the season with lovelace, dessers, danilo and poss the new boy from Morocco. Danilo will have a full pre season. I still think we will sign Sima, who can play as a striker.
If we sign McLean think middle park is done. The boy from bayern and if sima signs will give us 6 wingers but full expect Wright to be moved on. The finals signing IMHO will be hopefully sima and a left sided experienced ch and poss a forward if dessers moves, same goes with a right back.
We should get good money for hagi, Lammers and poss tav, Davis, and lawrence, poss around between 15-20 mill for all of the above.

Don't get me started 50% plus of the team are either x or celtic players. Celtics record in last say 7 year has been shocking. So what do you expect.
