Before Ehl came along John was the go to guy in the site and still in a lot of cases very much is.

The fact you've only made ~6 comments total suggests the former, as most genuine fans would observe the site for a period of time prior to making negative comments/ judgements of other posters.

RangersDa you say his info has been wrong but he's only passing in what he's hearing, and he's always said that. You need to define wrong as well, sometimes he'll hear rumours that won't pan out, for various different reasons. I think you'd be amazed if you heard every players we've watched and noted as potential targets.
Sometimes players just don't want to play for us, other times they do but the price can't be agreed, other times it'll depend on other players moving or the team were buying from having a replacement. There are so many moving parts to transfers and loans that of course there will be times that John's info won't come to fruition, but we get that and understand that and appreciate him passing on what he hears.

Kiss n Franco, got nothing to do with hierarchy or long term posters. Newbies are always welcome but if they offer nothing but snidey digs at anyone for no reason then they'll get shot down. Even if Q was genuine wondering why John valued, replies gave answer that over time as any reader would know he's built a reputation for being reliable for information, some come off, some don't. Johns a legend on this site and anyone who tries to belittle him is just jealous of his standing.
The majority of information here is rarely direct from the club and often indirect (friend of a friend) . Because of this sometimes guys can be right and wrong! As far as I'm concerned even if 1 in 5 things are accurate it's prob still better than the daily record or the sun!

There is an 'old guard' though and at times if they are questioned the others support aggressively as here. I have found the same a few times and i'm not a newbie anymore. so what if he is a 'newbie' and he is asking why everyone acts the way they do to John; isn't that allowed. he is saying it is a rumours page but everyone genuflects to John's rumours when he doesn't get them all right. John this isn't a criticism of you or your rumours more an observation of the way the forum works. a sort of don't question that hierarchy.
oh and if the club are reading have we found the source of the leak they think is there ??.

Interesting chat there. It has to be ok to question any rumours and if done the right way I think most are accommodating to that on here and welcoming to anyone new. It's fair that suspicions arise when someone with 7 responses previously seems to know that John is wrong more than he's right. It's worth noting that John himself doesn't really weigh in heavily with the " you must be one of them " responses . Yeh, he's not always been right, but he's supplied many useful bits of info over the time I've been on here, far more than the few that don't come to fruition.

What I've found it's mostly during the transfers windows we get many newbies and the truth is a large majority are tims posting rubbish, obviously John doesn't get everything spot on, things change in transfers hourly now in some cases, some only come on this site to cause friction with others, nothing more nothing less.

I respect the old guard clear they have been regular posters on here for some time and its a rumours page some are spot on some are way off that's the joy of it creates discussions ideas opinions some agree some don't but 100% there's a way to word it if your opinion is different from others no need to put folk down, criticise or have pops at anyone else. I enjoy reading the rumours and discussions, ideas etc some of which come from folk clearly a bit more in the know than others i'm sure many others enjoy it too bottom line is if you don't like it or have an issue with it then leave don't stay on the site . . . John is highly regarded on this site and one of the first names i always look for.
This is a Rangers "rumours" site not a Rangers this is "100% happening" site.
Honestly the negative comments against guys posting rumours on here are ridiculous, no wonder they don't post sometimes or disappear altogether.
If don't like what these guys post then go somewhere else for your information.

The way business is now being done its very tight so Asgard, gassame et al appear late and often come from the selling club
As I constantly say when a rumour is posted, you decide its validity or not
Either that we just close the page, which most of us don't want.

There are a few posters in here that give us great rumours and also insight on targets and the club in general. We all know who they are and for me personally John is one of s few that I look for as his information is accurate more times than not. Deals change and fall through for loads of reasons which are unforseen doesn't mean the rumours aren't accurate. John was great when I first came to this site giving names of targets both coaching and playing also seems clued up on our up and coming players. We now have a few who regularly give great rumours on transfers and commercial deals.
The thing I've notice is there seems to be a minority of posters who constantly make negative comments having a go at these folk for simply posting the information they get. I think it takes a lot away from the page. I also know that John and Co know loads more than they post but don't give as much information because of the negatives.

I'm glad to see you post your rumours on the page again I know you have said before you were stopping but why let folk we don't know stop you or anyone else from posting up a rumour
It may or may not come to fruition but I still love reading about them and then looking up the player and trying to imagine what their going to bring to Rangers

Folks if someone posts a rumour you can choose to believe it or not. Myself I read it and get on with my day. The end product of winning is more important to me. Most post in good faith and do not seek to show off or highlight connections. So stop giving people pelters. My main concern is two fold. 1) We go through and 2) We seem to play a right back at left back to accommodate our captain whilst the 2 left backs don't play. To early to judge but WT@@@.

Transfers are not done in football manager and some take a fair bit longer to get done and anything can happen to cause one to fall through.
Look at Romano recently, been getting so much hate due to the Gibbs-White deal he posted saying it was practically done, then it became a right mess .

Windy or we play our captain as the manager thinks he is the best RB in the squad. I can't understand the thought process where fans think he accomodates a player. why would he do that when his job is on the line. Same reason why he plays Aarons at LB I suppose as one of our young LBs. Only reson surely is to accomodate Aarons in the team if he isn't good enough to unseat a rubbish RB whose legs have gone.

It's a rumors page at the end of the day.
Some people have insight into the club and some (including me) don't.
People with insight will know more what's going on but it doesn't mean will 100% happen as things change, players make decisions which can't be predicted.
The only thing I don't like is when posters say their rumour is 100% fact going to happen. Had a lot of that saying Gerrard coming back was a fact.

It doesn't matter whether a poster is right or wrong or "in the know " It's a rumours site and people should be able to post rumours without getting slagged off.
It's a rumour, the poster has put it up for all to read, believe it or don't, shoot down the rumour if you want, but don't have a go at the person posting it. That just chases people away from the site.

Angus. My point is. He is away next year yet what I see at the moment is the regurgitation of bringing players in, playing them out of position, dowel ?. Tav is in that regurgitation example and has been for the last 3 managers whose job was on the line.
The last 3 managers who did the same and the last 3 managers who got sacked. If the club are bringing managers in to play high pressing football, as that's what's required, did they include FB going inside. Did they include bringing a right back who is not better than Tav but better than our own lbs. No wonder our squad is massive. ??.

Windy I imagine that Martin pitched his ideas to the new owners on style of play. they must have accepted whatever was said as he got the job.
Aarons is away next year as well as he is only on loan. Managers weren't sacked because they played Tavernier. they were sacked as they got bad results and the club and fans have no patience to work through the difficult times needed to build a squad. so is it better now to get a loan RB to fight for that RB place; low cost to create that squad more quickly. It gives us more time to identify a full time replacement.
at the moment Martin obviously doesn't want to start with Jefte or Fraser and Aarons can play LB so he plays him there. I would rather play Jefte as he has recovery pace and is left footed. Aarons was often caught on the ball against panathinaikos when it was on his good foot so perhaps he isn't our starting LB either.

Never said Tav got them the sack. I said he was part of the regurgitation that has taken place. I was lead to believe the club will bring in managers that will play to a style what the club wants and going forward any partner clubs will also adapt to that style of play. Again is that leaving out 3 LB for a RB. Maybe they like a few others struggle with his formation and the way he wants to play. We'll see. ?.
