See the amount of superb players we've had that I forgot about, is unbelievable.
Cannigia was an unbelievable player, and even though he was well into his thirties, his class was undeniable.
Negri was some player for us for all of 5 months, then that was it. He definitely knew where the goal was.
Big Miko was class, but was one lazy big bugger. I remember him during Euro 88 when the Soviet Union got to the final, and he was one of the players of the tournament.
I really struggled not putting Amo and Tugay in, but that just proves how good we were.
My God, we were blessed with some amount of talent, which at the time, we probably took for granted. What we wouldn't do to get back there.

MPH good to see someone mention Mikhailichenko. Think that's the first time I've seen his name on here. I remember one of our refs although can't remember which one booking him and asked him to turn round to get his name and bursting out laughing at trying to write it down. Thought he was a great player.

I'll always remember when we were signing some of the best players, i loved all the speculation of who we were being linked with etc. Loved getting up in the morning and running down to get a newspaper full of excitement and hope during the summer at transfer time, magical times to be a ger!

Well done to everyone who posted on the thread, some exceptional teams and players selected.
Rules were set nd rules are there to be broken, however for me every single player selected conjured up amazing memories, as I write this I remember artetas penalty when we beat Dunfermline to win the league on goal difference, I actually cried that day as my best friend who I attended games with was buried that morning.
