Happy to be wrong with original info last month, Hampden will be confirmed at 1600 today. Main stand - South Stand, Copland - West Stand, Govan - North Stand and Broomie - Their End.
1.) 11 Jul 2024 16:13:29
I posted a while ago that we would play our football at Hampden only to receive fro a few how wrong i was.
2.) 11 Jul 2024 16:29:17
Congratulations Baxter.
3.) 11 Jul 2024 17:14:20
Are we getting tickets or QR codes.
4.) 11 Jul 2024 17:50:52
Ger88 - cheers.
5.) 11 Jul 2024 17:59:22
Baxter u were never wrong, we were not payin 750k a game to go to murrayfield.
6.) 11 Jul 2024 19:10:23
What's the bets part of deal is to guv celtic a bigger allocation to end the away fans and end the lock out once and for all.
7.) 11 Jul 2024 21:00:54
Rfc the lock out is at an end there will be 2.5k Celtic fans at Ibrox.
20 Jun 2024 13:31:35
Hearing news that due to the revamping of the Copland Stand overrunning that we will be starting the season playing home games at Murrayfield.
1.) 20 Jun 2024 13:58:24
I've heard similar but the full season at Hampden. We would need special permission from the league board to play home games at 2 different stadiums. After taking them to court recently I can see zero chance of that.
2.) 20 Jun 2024 14:02:27
Fair enough, rangers just announced it.
3.) 20 Jun 2024 13:56:44
Why would be travel through to Edinburgh and not be playing at Hampden?
Although could clash with QoS home games.
4.) 20 Jun 2024 14:15:18
Won't be full season. And i would expect it to be Hampden not murrayfield.
5.) 20 Jun 2024 14:40:41
Someone needs to get the chop for this! Option to Murrayfield - Costs to fans. How do they allocate season tickets? Potential to drop points, exit Champions League all because some idiot didn’t do their job right. Although given assurances I would expect Rangers not to pick up any costa . Financial implications as well as REPUTATION of the club. COMPLETE FARCE!
6.) 20 Jun 2024 14:41:37
Gal77, it's that’s the case and it's the full season. We would be as well getting the broamloan upgrade done now as well as the screens in the corners away and seats put in there and reopen next season with it all done then.
7.) 20 Jun 2024 14:47:48
Paul86. People saying hampden won’t be available until September. so Murrayfield are already in talks to sort it….
8.) 20 Jun 2024 14:48:09
Why murrayfield.
9.) 20 Jun 2024 14:51:02
Gigs at Hampden mean it can't be played there.
10.) 20 Jun 2024 14:53:33
Can’t use Hampden due to Pinks concert then the pitch is being relayed.
11.) 20 Jun 2024 15:00:03
Queens Park Blue and P, QoS clues in the name bud?.
12.) 20 Jun 2024 15:06:47
Hampden isn’t available till sept.
Also how can this be anyone at rangers fault? Do rangers order in the material?
Jesus Christ it’s not the clubs fault that material is coming late.
13.) 20 Jun 2024 15:26:35
Posted about this a couple of weeks ago, however they didn't allow my post, its been known inside ibrox for weeks, the games are definitely at murrayfield, I wonder if bisgrove jumped before he was pushed as this is a shambles, the club need to start being more honest with the fans.
14.) 20 Jun 2024 15:27:38
Andymac I'd love to see that getting done if it's the case that we're playing elsewhere.
15.) 20 Jun 2024 15:30:15
Bennett not a happy camper and rightly so. However the material should have been ordered months in advance. Poor planning by either the club or the contractor.
I know how these delays can occur due to the issues I have at work with lead times and deliveries from the Far East.
It’s embarrassing and obviously the club didn’t have a contingency plan in place.
Murrayfield will not be cheap but hopefully that’s offset if we can sell the 64k capacity.
16.) 20 Jun 2024 15:35:03
It is Stormtrooper as you just get a a steel fabricator in Scotland and even David Murray would have supplied the support steel! An absolute shambles.
17.) 20 Jun 2024 15:35:18
Horrendous take SXM….
18.) 20 Jun 2024 15:37:37
Aye it is rangers fault there will be someone project managing the job and they should not of allowed the firm to start the work until all materials where available . it should of stated that the company need to have all materials prepared and stored within a hours drive from Glasgow. Hope they had a delay clause in the contract as this could cost us millions.
19.) 20 Jun 2024 15:41:20
A can confirm that the steel work is currently in my place of work it is currently being painted so it’s all down to erecting times when it gets on site.
20.) 20 Jun 2024 15:45:46
If it wasn’t rangers fault why would the club be sacking people over it storm? The project manager and Also heard on good authority if Bisgrove was still here would have been getting the bullet for his part in the balls up as well.
21.) 20 Jun 2024 15:49:30
In the building industry things can quickly change.
22.) 20 Jun 2024 16:15:58
Shipping especially from far east can be held up months for a million reasons, usually arguments about tax on materials, seen container ships sitting at sea for weeks on end doing nothing, it was probably made before and ordered well in advance but rubbish happens, be more worried about bother at the Man U game and murryfield telling us to do one for the champ league qualifiers.
23.) 20 Jun 2024 16:27:18
Incredible that so many can make such bold sweeping statements with virtually no genuine information.
24.) 20 Jun 2024 16:54:08
Absolute nonsense being written as Usaul, two gigs due at Hampden, June 28 and 29.
25.) 20 Jun 2024 17:25:37
Wishy because they need a scapegoat not rocket science but obviously it’s fooled a few rangers fans.
26.) 20 Jun 2024 17:26:25
Good authority aye no bother wishy.
27.) 20 Jun 2024 17:52:59
If it’s not rangers fault then surely the guy who got sacked can take rangers to court for wrongful dismissal? you don’t have a clue lol.
28.) 20 Jun 2024 18:05:08
Forgot storm no one apart from john hears anything about Rangers?.
29.) 20 Jun 2024 18:17:14
I heard that Dessers was asked to buy the steels, but despite getting through to the checkout online multiple times he never actually hit the button to purchase them. Any truth in that?
30.) 20 Jun 2024 18:26:45
Sxmcr seriously! Do you think our fans only come from Glasgow I’m sure there are plenty of good rangers followers in Edinburgh and further with travel infrastructure Edinburgh might be just as good an option for a lot of rangers fans and not just you.
Might give some young kids that don’t normally get a chance to go go to their first game or a chance for the fans who travel through all the time an easier day.
31.) 20 Jun 2024 20:41:59
Feels like a PR Disaster.
06 Oct 2019 18:51:46
I like many on here question why big Goldson seems to be undroppable. However with that being said, if you actually watch the way he organises and constantly talks to players around him maybe this is why he seems to be the constant at the back. I really like Katic and Edmundson looks the part too but they are still very young in terms of centre half's and this may be the managers thinking regarding Goldson. Anyway top of the league and looking strong not just in our 1-11 but right throughout the squad. This just could be our year!
1.) 06 Oct 2019 22:04:14
goldson is like papac, does it so well so often u forget to pay attention.
2.) 06 Oct 2019 22:31:03
Del, I think his communication is the only reason he isn’t being dropped, it sure as hell isn’t because of his defensive displays. I actually wonder how much of a say mcGregor has in who starts in front of him, maybe he also prefers Goldson because they communicate well together and isn’t a language barrier? Just a thought.
3.) 07 Oct 2019 06:29:08
I think you could be right zikos but I would rather have big goldson than hawd it and dodit over at livingston yesterday big dykes bullied they 2 all day yesterday and they lost the plot when they didn’t get their own way they lost their discipline completely it was a joy to watch 🇬🇧.
4.) 07 Oct 2019 10:01:44
People are a bit unfair on Goldson I think. He has made some poor decisions recently but he plays well more often than not. He won't get it his own way every game. Same applies to Tav. He plays good more often than not but admit he has had a wee dip in form. Time to cut the guys some slack.
5.) 07 Oct 2019 11:58:00
Sometimes goldson's use of the ball leaves a lot to be desired, however he is an organiser at the back and this must be gerrards thinking. We are blessed with 4 very good defenders right now and when we pick up injuries we will be thankful of this.
6.) 07 Oct 2019 13:06:30
Goldson is a leader on the pitch and is held in great esteem by his team mates, Gerrard and me. We have 4 good centre-backs, only issue is giving them all game-time.
7.) 07 Oct 2019 13:50:43
Agree souness read big goerge singing his praises post match yesterday he seems to be the one that the other look to for advice help certainly george n niko almost like a mentor.
8.) 07 Oct 2019 14:29:25
Love the fact all the former goldson haters are now singing his praises 😂😂😂.
9.) 07 Oct 2019 14:45:48
Had some absolutely horrific showings last season also. His communication mayne keeping him in side. As footballer wise i currently have him 4th best centre half. honestly think edmunson looking class.
10.) 07 Oct 2019 16:28:16
Never once said anything positive or negative about Goldson on here. So who you calling out Brogie?
11.) 07 Oct 2019 19:45:25
Nor me either 🤫.
12.) 07 Oct 2019 22:41:09
Personally not a huge Goldson fan, think I would still try and find a better pairing between the others. Think he is pacy enough and decent on the ball but will always have a mistake in him and can easily be bullied off the ball. I think if you play Goldson then you always play Katic to give us the physical presence which Goldson lacks.
13.) 07 Oct 2019 22:45:58
Nor me, definitely think big niko is our best cb tho would be him n goldson for me.
14.) 08 Oct 2019 14:40:11
Not a big fan of Goldson, 3rd choice for me, Yes he scored on Sunday but still his decision making and ball delivery is shocking, Plus for such a big guy, He is easy bullied of the ball, But SG must see something I and some others don’t, Great result on Sunday especially with THEM getting beat, Onwards and Upwards, 🇦🇺ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‘.
15.) 08 Oct 2019 22:21:56
Think Goldsons problem is he’s constantly covering for Tav being posted missing and trying to deal with his mistakes. Often leads to him being out of position.
16.) 08 Oct 2019 23:45:54
inconsistent for me, been poor recently in general terms, but he can make some great diagonal passes if he has time on the ball just unfortunately he doesn't get time on the ball.
17.) 09 Oct 2019 12:34:40
Goldson wins every ball in the air rounds up the defence and actually scores a few in to the bargain lol does well for someone left in the lurch off our captain rapid.
24 Jun 2019 22:31:12
The signing of Joe Aribo shows how far we have come in the past few years. The thought of signing a player being linked with Arsenal and Man City just a few months back would have been laughable in seasons gone by.
We were fighting teams from the lower reaches of the Championship and Division 1 for players not too long ago. Now we are attracting not just experienced players like Defoe and Davis but young and upcoming guys with bags of potential. One more centre half and a back up striker and I really believe we have the squad capable of giving it a real go this season.
1.) 25 Jun 2019 09:32:18
Del2807 You are bang on. I have been banging on about 1 more CB and one more striker and we will be there. Just a wee note to the glass half empty brigade. PLEASE REFILL YOUR GLASS. STEVIE G KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING.
2.) 26 Jun 2019 13:19:59
I don't mind him going but would like a fee and sell on clause inserted in any deal cause i think the boy will come good.

I've not been tavs biggest fan for a couple of seasons now but the abuse is totally uncalled for. Some of the sentiments shown here are what numpties use as a catalyst to berate him in public now. He is definitely past his best and there could even be a case for the argument that he is holding the club to ransom but he was given that contract and it should be honoured. A player who is definitely marmite now and we'll probably only appreciate his service once he's gone.
1.) 04 Sep 2024 16:08:39
For all his faults still no justifications for all the abuse abuse, ì don't buy into players saying they don't read papers social media, why would Tav want to be at Rangers, he is a rich young man with family if I was him i would cut my loses, unless he is willing to go but club want to much. surerly we would be better to take any resonable fee to resolve issue for both parties, that way he can at least leave with a bit of dignity, that's the least he deserves.
2.) 04 Sep 2024 17:01:01
Don't like to see one player being singled out del, there was 11 men on the park on Sunday. Think tav is the easy target because he's captain and also because he's being paid probably double what most are on, still not nice to see, I did say before the season started that he could ruin his time here by staying, it's sadly turning out to be the case.
3.) 04 Sep 2024 17:19:35
Catalyst to berate him in public!
Are you for real, do you really think that sites like this are fueling fire for the likes of that fruitbat who was giving it tight to Tav.
Think you will find it’s a large section of the support who have turned against him and it’s simply because they have eyes like the ones on here.
4.) 04 Sep 2024 20:09:47
I said he should leave because it’s going to get toxic for him. It’s not right what happened to him at weekend but seen it coming and will get worse. Also Tav has been rank rotten since January let’s not beat about the bush and he has never been able to defend.
28 Aug 2024 20:57:42
The loan system with option or obligation to buy is the new norm, Dado. It's worked with Diomande and looks promising for Cortes, too. I'm not against getting the chance to gauge if a player will prosper or fail in our league before making long term commitments.
The other lot have done it on numerous occasions too with Jota, Bernardo and the like. We actually made money from Bayern on the Tillman deal of the same nature. I do understand the wanting to have the player commited to the cause for the sake of the following season, but unfortately it works both ways.
1.) 28 Aug 2024 21:52:01
Del I agree it's probably the new norm especially for a club like ourselves with limited funds, but I'd say both Cortes and Dio both still need to prove if it's been the right thing to do for us,
Cortes has been unlucky with injuries and Dio hasn't improved much imo, I've still not seen him take a game by the scruff of the neck! He's looked good in flashes but I remain unconvinced but hope he proves me wrong.
2.) 29 Aug 2024 04:18:46
Cortes don't look at all promising tbh.
3.) 29 Aug 2024 10:57:35
Cortes looked class when he 1st came in until the injury, him and Diomande still young and we have saw glimpses of the potential Dio has, hopefully we have the coaches to help unleash the potential.
My only issue with loan with obligation to buy is if we lose the league again this season then next season's transfer kitty will already be spent.
27 Aug 2024 13:45:53
Fed up reading posts sbout how badly the Hagi and Cantwell situations are being handled. Nobody here knows for sure the actual surroundings of these deals except the players themselves and the club itself. In Hagi's case it does seem that he has a clause in his contract that would be triggered by playing one more game. if this is to be the case then I totally understand the club's stance on the matter as we can't be looking to trim the wage bill on one hand then giving a player who isn't a guaranteed starter another £6k per week. Cantwell's refusal to turn out for the B team speaks volumes about where the blame lies with that one.
1.) 27 Aug 2024 14:06:03
Cantwell isn’t being mismanaged, somebody will pay the market value or he’ll run laps until January. Honestly will be remembered as an embarrassment to the club, on par with Joey Barton.
Hagi I feel for a little bit more. We should never have given him £20k per week as he’s not very good. We also should not have put a pay increase into his contract.
He won’t sign for another club as he’s just not a great player and undoubtedly living in his father’s name. He either needs to accept a pay cut with another team or renegotiate his salary with us. Failing that then it’s 6 months b-team until we see if a move is available in January.
I do feel a little for Hagi, he came in good faith but got found out and then a really bad injury.
2.) 27 Aug 2024 14:06:27
If cantwell refusing to play we should be able to stop his wages.
3.) 27 Aug 2024 14:25:13
How many more bad attitudes will cost us transfer fee's for our so called stars, Cantwell and Morelos for a start. I said in an earlier post, we must do our due diligence on character. Its an expensive mistake.
4.) 27 Aug 2024 14:51:46
A year in the B team will end their careers at this level, think both will be somewhere else come Saturday.
5.) 27 Aug 2024 18:53:26
The Scout, need to remember that the club refused to sell Morelos and Kent for a combined £26m!
Should have bitten the hand off for them both and took the huge profit on them, particularly Morelos. Anyway, both players no longer here and we should be talking about those that are.
Cantwell is a disgrace. Arguing with fans online is playground behaviour - should have been disciplined by club.
26 Jun 2024 07:24:45
With regards Kenny McLean, I remember the same reaction to the incoming transfers of guys like Wilkins, Spackman, Davis, Weir etc. You always need experience in your team and he probably still has a good 3 or 4 year left in him. As long as the fee isn't too restrictive then this signing ticks a lot of boxes. It may not be the marquee one but could prove extremely important.
1.) 26 Jun 2024 09:31:52
I reckon he will be the first of at least a trio of experienced signings. We will bring in a CH (possibly McKenna), McLean in the middle of the park and I still think Shankland up top. Enough to guide the young lads through a difficult phase and bring success back to the club. I get that many won't agree or be happy about it, but for me this is what we need.
2.) 26 Jun 2024 09:35:19
Agreed about experience but costly now for a senior player! - He was touted before he signed new contact with Norwich - so big fan as he claimed he is? - would it not have been better to get him for next to zero then!
3.) 26 Jun 2024 09:56:14
Honest opinion, he is too slow for our league, and like a few b4 him, looking for a final big pay day at the tail end of his career.
4.) 26 Jun 2024 10:51:43
His Dad Lex was a big Rangers fan also ? one for the old yins.
5.) 26 Jun 2024 11:07:27
Bar Rangers will not pay him more than Norwich does.
6.) 26 Jun 2024 11:47:54
You're going back now, sima! Remember Lex McLean well. Big Gers man.
7.) 26 Jun 2024 14:22:56
Is that him that sang American Pie??.
22 May 2024 14:00:02
The chatter about Goldson that John may be referring to is that he was fit for the run in but a deal to take him to Saudi had been agreed in principal and neither the player or the club were wiing to jeopardise this by aggravating his previous injury. I didn't believe the stories linking him and Tav to these moves but if we are getting both off the wage bill and receiving a hefty lump of cash to reinvest then it might just be a good thing.
1.) 22 May 2024 14:49:40
Sounds like a club in desperate need of cash.
2.) 22 May 2024 15:13:20
That would be a tremendous outcome but I’m not convinced that’ll happen. If it does, then great.
3.) 22 May 2024 15:46:25
I was referring to his sons op.
4.) 22 May 2024 16:35:55
Im hopeful you are right Del.
05 Jan 2024 18:52:56
Exactly what we require. Another non scoring Nigerian forward. I'd rather Van Veen than this one.
25 Nov 2022 13:42:56
Be happy with us paying as little as possible. Depends what they think he's worth John. Experience wise then this offer is about right. This is a chance for Michael Beale to prove he's got it at a big club with all the pressure. If he's successful then the financial rewards will most definitely follow.
04 Apr 2022 18:43:40
I would keep Goldson too, in a heartbeat but unfortunately that one isn't in our hands. We will also be sending loan players back. Whilst a lot of signings can be exciting, it is also a precarious situation as I really don't think we can afford to get this one wrong.
26 Aug 2021 20:37:05
Read the post properly before jumping in with both feet Stormtrooper. I said the misses cost us a comfortable evening. Now what part of that don't you agree with? If we get 2-0 up in that game then Kelly, Balogun and one of the boys could have been introduced to save legs for Sunday. I think that's a fair assessment of the night, don't you?
28 Nov 2016 21:16:52
He can still purchase shares in order to keep his current percentage of the club. He owns 9% at the moment which is within the dual interest boundaries. Under the proposals though his stake would have been diluted by half to 4.5% with no option to buy more. But thanks to Mccoist and the likes this option has been blocked.
