Best business of the summer!
Raskin has agreed terms on a new contract with the club until 2029.
He will become second highest paid player at the club as the new owners make real sign of intent with this one.
Media side of things will focus on new players coming in this week (2 I believe) with Raskin contract announcement being made second week in July.

I hope as part of his new contract that we have put a £25/ 30mil transfer fee so that clubs have to pay top line.

Absolutely delighted if this one is true, just remember though although he's agreed thw deal doesn't mean we won't receive bids.
I worry the new deal is so the club can ask for the £25m they wanted whicj with lower wages is more difficult.

I'm not saying this isn't true but don't see the positive us waiting 2-3 weeks to announce if it's already happened or on the verve of being completed. Also doesn't mean he stays just means we get more value in transfer fee if he does, wouldn't be 1st player to sign new deal before being sold soon after.
I hope it's true and he decides to commit to st least 1 more season with a new contract so we still get a good fee and another season at least as a player.

It's excellent news if so. The only other thought I have is that our player trading model could stall as we could do with a big transfer injection. That could still be Dio or Igamane, my preference being Dio. The flip is that Raskin may still leave, but for more money given the length of this potential contract. We have to maximise our assets so if this is the way, then so be it.

JR1972 igamane is 22 years old playing his first season in europe and has scored 16 goals 4 of which were in the europa league. He has often been playing out of position also and has broken into the morocco first team.
How exactly is he all hype? He's very obviously a talented footballer you'd have to be blind not to see that. The attitude some people have towards young players continuously baffles me.

4 lads were speaking about igamane on a podcast not that long ago and said he had a late start, basically didn't get into a proper academy until he was like 19 so to make this jump is such a short space of time is tremendous. Boy will go to the top.

Igamane is not a robot, he has natural flair and ability, he has not had it coached out of him, yes he has things to learn and doesn't always make the right pass, but I'd rather watch him than most of the Robots that play in the premier league anytime .

What Igamane achieved in 1st season after nor being involved for 1sr 2-3 moths was superb. Of course with young players in particular his form is going to be a bit more up and down but he managed to score away to Celtic, Aberdeen and Hibs to name a few and away in Europe that's probably the hardest games to score in or it may be that he is better playing against teams that have a go? Either way it's far too early for him to be sold unless we receive a proper 8 figure bid with sell on clause.
It's in both his and the clubs interest to keep him in the short term on improved terms IMO.
Other fans saying they don't get the hype clearly don't watch our games, he was 1 of very few to get pass marks last season who gets you off your seat when he picks up the ball. He also played in a variety of positions in a new team in a new league in a new country and he's only a young guy, can only see him getting better tbh.

Glad to see most of you guys showing respect to my posts now. Take a while but I've been right with every post I've made this year- I said at start of January we wouldn't make any signings outwith maybe a loan (Fernandes came) and was right. Then I told u after months and months takeover would be announced the following day and it was. I told you Russell Martin was a done deal and a few days later announced. I've told u Conor Coady is a deal 100% happening which will come right as will what I've said about raskin. That's not be bragging at all as I say I have a contact that's able to tell me all this in the inside. Just enjoy it while they come :) there's others I know about too but I can't share too much until a few others know too or my source would be too obvious :)

I'm calling bs on this, raskin isn't in the country and no way the board wouldn't announce this straight away, there is nothing anywhere states he's signed.

@LundstrumLoyal - I just looked back and tbf you also said Camara was confirmed, Lawrence had agreed a pre-contract in January, and a deal for Ridvan had been agreed but we pulled the plug last second. I hope you're right but you're framing it as if you've got a 100% record.

That's totally fair NL. To be fair Camara agreed terms to come then when Koppen left the club pulled the plug. I said he'd agreed a precontract but what I actually meant was he wasn't staying on I worded it wrongly. Ridvan deal I don't know 100% so can't say for sure but my contact told me at the time it was all but done and then Tav got injured so we kept him- ridvan camp continue to say he's happy here but that's not the reality.
