Just heard that Marco Rose is 100% the leading candidate, and that all other names are merely speculation. It seems the situation will become clearer shortly.
Personally, I am pleased that the club is embracing fresh perspectives and moving forward.

Was at the Helicopter Sunday event at the Hilton last night which Ferguson was at. Towards the end of the night a very prominent ex player in and around the club we know said to us privately he's heard it Gerrard. Obviously doesn't mean it's happening but thought I'd pass it on.
Barry Ferguson was also there and said on stage that he expects something to be confirmed in the next week.

It's getting very interesting, few ITK and concrete sources saying Russell Martin and SG then few ITK and sources saying he's going to be German, and Rangers review saying will have no prev connection to the club. I know some won't like this if it is indeed true and i know AyrshireTattooist is hearing Marco Rose 100%, but i've just received info that it's definitely Steven Gerrard that's going to be our new manager and it won't be long before it's officially announced. ?
This is coming from someone who's now retired from Ibrox, after working there for many years. ? Again only sharing and passing on to all on here, to what i've been told ?.

I've been told Marco Rose isn't even an option.
Al Hilal stopped negotiating with him due to his wage demands, and if a Saudi club is ending talks due to wages then I suggest we wouldn't even be anywhere near half of what they would offer.

I believe the club will negotiate an alternative role for Barry and announce this at the same time as the new manager. That's if an early announcement is to be made as some posters have suggested. This would maybe sort of take care of any disrespect felt?
As for who the new manager is going to be, I have no clue. Suffice to say, whoever it is will get my full backing.

Edin Terzić, Marco Rose, Roger Schmidt, and Danny Rohl have been mentioned on this site Asa unless it's some other manager who is German.
I have no inside knowledge but hopefully a manager is appointed soon to get us prepared for next season.

If its gerrard expect some early backlash from fans. Going backwards to a less than successful manager to kick start a fresh era at the club just shouldn't happen. i think it will be rose and will be announced soon. people saying about he asked for big wages? Maybe he wanted wages like that to manage in egypt because let's face it who on earth would want to manage there and be lost in football wilderness? Not many who fancy having a successful carer in management that's for sure.

I've heard a name or two purely hunches with two guys that are involved with the club, no mention of Rose. In fact they don't give too much away so a bit surprised others are saying 100 per cent on candidates.
And he wouldn't be my preference, we will need to wait and see.

I've put out their who I've been told is most likely to be our manager but in all honesty I don't care about being right or wrong I just want the right candidate and more so the right players for the new manager to manage into a successful team which I think is number one priority.

My Mrs uncle has been the groundsman for quite sometime and isn't really privy to much information unless he happens to be present when someone is being shown around, well that's as of recently the clubs really clamped down on leaks within the club and the circle ITK is extremely small now.

Think our fans need to be a bit more realistic just now in terms of targets.
49ers might have money behind them but people like Rose, Terzic and Schmidt will be a bit ahead of those we're currently looking at. That'll obviously change within a couple of years as we'll become better run and obviously financially richer.

Genuine question if it is being talked about inside Ibrox then who is speaking about it. I would hazard a guess it isn't being spoken about by the new board as they haven't taken their seats yet as takeover hasn't happened and Thelwell will still actually be at Goodison as he is still employed there. so are those speaking inside the club actually in the know or is it just water cooler gossip.

Posted on here in the last few days with direct info from a former player closely connected to the current coaching team
No one has been told directly who the new manager will be, but there's a constant name being referenced by almost everyone in and around the first team
Not two, three or four names, one name
From what I'm being told, that names been substantiated by many within the club to the point where I was told, our next manager has already signed their contract and is confirmed
Due to all that, the club need to get this announced, so as not to detriment that announcement.

Well guys, who stated, prior to Clement's appointment, his preferred candidate was Frank Lampard, and got slagged for it, - yes it was our old manager Graeme Sounesss.
I've got a tenner on him at - 25/ 1, it seems to getting jumped on
as a very realistic possibility.
Who knows? - certainly, not me!
