Improved, but still a poor performance sadly . Way too many missed passes, lack of concentration, poor continuity, hearts could have had 3.

But onwards we march.

Balogan was immense, MOTM by a mile.

Completely agree. Very frustrating performance even if we did manage to get the job done. Going to need a vastly improved performance if we want to win all our remaining fixtures.

2.) 21 apr 2024 18:02:02
yip, i never thought it was a great performance either, but we got through in the end,

3.) 21 Apr 2024 18:11:55
It was a win if Hearts had some more quality about them and pressed more not sure if it would have been simple as a 2,0 win,
Balagun no messing about and didn't notice him try use that stupid lump it up the field the way Goldson does every game.
cleared his lines when needed.
Souter took the turn of Goldson of having a bombscare moment luckily it came to nothing and Butland had a few good saves in him.
Not the best but not the worst and into the final we go.

After Buff and Kent, You'd have thought we would have learned the lesson by now - you don't depend on players going out of contract. : (

Hope to hear a wee round of "there's only 1 Dujon Sterling" on Sunday, after the lads refreshingly brutal honesty .

TedMcMinn

1.) 19 Apr 2024 17:01:16
Agree Ted - nice to hear Sterling’s version of the Truth! So sick of ‘corporate diplomacy’!

2.) 19 apr 2024 17:53:44
too many years with sub standard players earning fortunes, not a penny peice for morelos, kent, tavernier, goldson, , not a penny,

but they all left, or will leave very rich with one damp cloth needed to clean they're medals, one between them i mean

i mind the abuse when i laughed at claims that kent could go fir “ nothing less than 30m, 30 bob was closer,

3.) 19 Apr 2024 18:08:11
I see on the BBC Sport Page, Clement is having a go at Dujong for his comments, saying that he needs to be more mature when talking about the team in the Press. I think it would have been more appropriate had he said this was the correct attitude for a Rangers player, waken up Phillipe before these underperformers cost you your job.

4.) 19 apr 2024 18:24:10
irv, listening to clemnts 2 interviews this past week i don't want to hear him speak again

i was gobsmacked by the nonsense he spoke on weds,

rather hear dujon any time, if the manager has criticised him then we can expect he will want away too, i'm beginning ti wonder if we have actually changed anything because the manager hasn't coup, i can see them seeing him out too.

5.) 19 Apr 2024 19:38:49
Stirling has endeared himself to the fans with his performances and telling us how it is, a hope he is rewarded with a midfield start, a think Clemont is being conned by some players and will soon realise his mistake, the fans are used too it over the seasons and can see it maybe Stirling can see too.

6.) 19 Apr 2024 20:02:01
7 point behind in league when Clement came in, won the league cup, last 16 in Europa, semi final on Sunday,3 points behind in the league with 5 games to play 1 against them, Rangers fans would bite your hand off for that when he came in.

7.) 19 Apr 2024 20:25:02
It’s not the right thing to be saying publicly, if he has an issue with some of his colleagues he should be challenging them behind the scenes, washing your dirty linen in public just hands the media all the ammo they need to start driving wedges between the players and management.

8.) 19 apr 2024 21:29:59
and showing every sign of chucking it and throwing the league ans cup away

your certainly great at telling us nothing star, we know we won the league cup

we also know they're playing like kids right now

its right now that matters unfortunately, or maybe we should hark back to the last time we won a treble, because that's as relative as your latest nonsense, if were 2nd again nothing else matters mate.

9.) 19 Apr 2024 21:59:33
Tom Clement will make us better that's all am saying.

10.) 19 apr 2024 22:50:11
he did, then he made-us rubbish again.

Team that keeps the heid will win this game, so glad to see PC talking it down. Assume cantwell will start, but will get hooked if / when a yellow comes his way. Hope Sima 100% fit and can start, and we move the ball fast on the break.

Be interesting to see if he starts with

Fabio/ cantwell/ sima
Dessy

Pace of the game might suit sterling more than Dio?

Matondo as an impact sub off a decent looking bench? (Imagine next season with Everyone fit, plus PCs own striker ?)

We have the fire power to deliver a statement result here. 'Mon the Gers.

1.) 06 Apr 2024 11:36:35
Good post Ted, manager likes Diomande and he has started well at us but hate to think this game passes him by, having said that expect him to start but if we went for Sterling and Lundstram in there then you could play Lawrence in front of them.
Be interesting to see if the manager makes a tweak to suit the match.

2.) 06 Apr 2024 11:43:16
To improve as a squad we require more than a new striker, we need 2 new CBs, Sima and Silva probably won't be there either.

3.) 06 Apr 2024 20:40:33
ComeonRangers - It all depends upon whether we win the League. There's no lack of ambition and we will spend the maximum we can.

4.) 06 Apr 2024 20:43:11
Ted - My preference too Sterling over Diomande and also Lawrence over Cantwell.

5.) 06 Apr 2024 22:11:35
Dessy? Lol, that his pet name.

Need some help Bears .

Coming home this weekend with one of my sons, so trying to get tickets for the game. (We live 500 miles away, so a rare treat for us)

Website keeps showing as limited tickets available in some sections, but when you click, there's nothing there. Driving me mad. I know most on here will be season holders, but any tips?

(I know I have no chance of getting a pair side by side, but will consider anything) .

Assume there are still usually a few folk selling spares around the ground on the day?

TedMcMinn

1.) 25 Mar 2024 14:12:21
Likely manage to pick a couple up outside ground be best bet.

2.) 25 Mar 2024 14:31:39
Usually you see people trying to sell match tickets as you come out of the subway.
Used to be a site called Seat Sub.

3.) 25 Mar 2024 14:32:00
Try outside Ibrox subway.

4.) 25 Mar 2024 15:59:53
Ted there's a chance you will get 2 together at the subway mate, managed to do it a few time's for pals got 2 sitting together. Good luck mate.

5.) 25 Mar 2024 17:03:16
500 mile is a long way to travel on the off chance you might get a ticket outside the ground.

6.) 25 Mar 2024 18:14:39
Hes coming home anyway this weekend i think mark and wants to make a game.

7.) 25 Mar 2024 18:44:13
Just keep checking tickets pop up on the website all the time. Will be a challenge getting 2 together but you might get lucky and get 2 close to each other and can ask someone to swap.

8.) 25 Mar 2024 19:07:22
Paul, you're correct. I didn't read the post correctly.

9.) 25 Mar 2024 19:45:05
Mark44 not if you are the proclaimers its not ?.

10.) 25 Mar 2024 21:21:07
Da Di ra da da Dado?.

11.) 26 Mar 2024 08:39:43
When I was on the committee of RSC's. I always managed to sell and surplus tickets we had outside the Subway or beside The Copeland Road Stand on Edmiston Drive, good luck mate.

12.) 26 Mar 2024 11:46:25
Thanks all . managed to get 2 seats a row apart this morning in the main stand, so happy days with that. My lad is bouncing . just the 8 hour drive to go .

13.) 26 Mar 2024 12:12:37
Ted not sure how old your son is but u may find someone willing to swap a seat with you or your son.

14.) 26 Mar 2024 12:20:15
Happens more thank you think John, we're no a bad, very accommodating ?.

15.) 26 Mar 2024 13:27:28
Whit you like bigdado ? it actually went over ma head at first, was thinking what's he on about ? no had much sleep.

10 Mar 2024 10:06:21
Lot of good chat re Lowry, but given PCs obvious man management skills, I wonder if he may be able to shape Lowry's character? Take him under his wing - Spend some time with him. The lad has definite potential.

TedMcMinn

1.) 10 Mar 2024 11:51:39
Ted, all of us of a certain age, who played football at various levels, have known many many young men with 'loads of potential' (some of us included I'll bet), but 999 out of a thousand don't make it for one reason or another, he may just have blown his chance, we will see.

2.) 10 Mar 2024 12:00:32
Depends what chance he’s in but I’d rank Lowry in there as decent potential but not a level we should be bending rules or standards. From the hints John has left on the page over the months, he won’t play again for us.

3.) 10 Mar 2024 12:20:26
I think he’ll be sold in the summer, hard to see how he even makes the bench these days.

4.) 10 Mar 2024 12:35:58
Hopefully I’m wrong but get the impression Lowrys heads somewhere the sun don’t shine. Shame if true. This lad has potential, even to make us a few bob if he doesn’t quite cut it however his reputation may proceed him.

5.) 10 Mar 2024 12:53:11
Sollof I tend to agree,

Dado I’m not sure we would get money for him, shame a great talent who blew it.

6.) 10 Mar 2024 17:23:46
There was concerns about Lowry's attitude 2/ 3 years ago. I said earlier, Phil doesn't suffer fools.

7.) 10 Mar 2024 18:36:37
2/ 3 years ago he was head and shoulders above who he was playing with and against, all good players can be arrogant, arrogance can be tempered, by all accounts, reading between the lines, this is serious ? and no one may touch him now, which is sad, boys a talent.

Butland has the making of future Gers captain. Why would be leave us - not for money, only to raise his profile to get into Euro squad? Hope PC has a hotline to Gareth. If the board let him go its surely season over - he's been worth so many points this year.

Have to disagree with MPH slightly - I wasnt happy with Gerards style of exit. Agree no room for sentiment in business, but always room for respect. Skulking out of Ibrox under the cover of darkness …. No way for a man of his calibre to leave.

Ironically I seem to remember a certain young lad called Patterson left soon after, but his exit tweet showed Gerard how to leave a club with thanks, grace and dignity.

As long as Gerard pays over the odds for them then that is fine ?

both been good servants to the club, rarely injured, tav been here since the dark days - how many players have a Scottish championship medal and played in a European final….?! Grown as a player, would
Love to see him go out in a blaze of glory in May.

Great to hear support for 442. Many CB not used to handling 2 up front - look at C-V against the sheep, did not look happy when facing two big lads.

But the actual point is we need plan B, and for that matter c, d and e. We always play the same way, the subs never change the shape, we are way too easy to read. The mob closed us down last time and Lunny was often struggling to find an out ball. We need to put out a formation appropriate to the opposition - and be able to adapt during the game.

The long ball is not sacrilegious. We are not Real / PSG / City - we don’t have to play it out from the back every time. Whenever I see Goldson shaping to give super JB yet another bouncing 20 yr back pass I’m off to find a fresh pair of Calvin Kleins!

Try Roofe and Dessy on together for 20 mins, change it up now and again? Cantwell came deep a lot on Sunday, found acres of space, and drove at them, I can see him playing in a midfield 4. Obviously not saying we should drop the formation that we know well, but we need other options.

Gutted for superJB, but expected little else from a manager constantly out of his depth.

How long does Jack McButland have to live in Scotland before we can pick him? :)
