One of the companies that I advise are an IT company and the SFA may or may not be a customer of theirs. There's a lot of chatter in that company that the SFA will not greenlight the takeover quickly and they are looking to drag this out for as long as they can.
I'll leave it to you guys to assume why this is the case and how an IT company might have found out.

I think I believe that it sounds so genuine it couldn't be made up.

You'd be surprised just how much every tech firm knows about their clients. Every tech support company has access to documents, emails and chats for the vast majority of their customers. So coming across information that isn't in the public domain is quite common. Then people gossip.
Also, irrespective of whether some shares have been bought and the purchase of more has been verbally agreed, the SFA haven't approved any change in control yet. They have more than enough power to delay that decision and by extension the takeover. Whether people here like it or not.

If this was the case Simon then you, your company and the it company you advise would all be guilty of leaking confidential information, Rangers could take the sfa to court for holding up the sale illegally you've said that they are going to drag their heels, the sfa would then sue the it company for leaking said confidential info, the it company would then sue your company for leaking confidential info and you yourself would be open to proceedings for leaking it to us. Not to mention possible inside trader liabilities as well as the stock prices of the 49'rs and Rangers would be affected by this. That's a lot of people getting sacked, bankrupt and jail terms all because you want us to believe your bull.

I'm sure some of the erstwhile journalists who read this page and use it for content, will be interested in this. But perhaps it could be copied and pasted and sent to the red tops. Having this nonsense in the red tops would be amusing, but also, if it's in print. Simon what you have also done is drop the IT company right in it and yourself most likely. I am sure the confidential information you have shared would be protected by the correct laws. It won't take a legal mastermind now much time to identify the IT company who have broken that legal requirement or confidentiality as the SFA will only have 1 who has the type of access to material you mention. oh and once they have them then by association it won't take long to find the adviser who actually made it public. so a made up story, or a piece of criminal stupidity, the choice is yours.
oh and we believe the trusted sources just because of that one word trusted over a period o time o putting good info out there. also they aren't leaking info they got from a computer system they shouldn't be accessing in the way they have been

Morning guys! I normally only read the posts here but I wanted to chip in on this one. Simon has only implied he heard this rumour, he hasn't disclosed names, emails or anything that is actually private or sensitive.
Most companies have a multitude of different tech companies that support them nowadays, so nobody can concretely pinpoint a single company here.
His ethics are questionable but then he does raise a valid point, others on this forum do the exact same thing from within Ibrox, for example.
My last though is that this forum has posted his messages and therefore must feel they were ok to do so. If Simon was posting anything he really shouldn't RR would surely get dragged into that mess since they allowed it to be posted here?

Whilst I don't personally believe this rumour, the reason that the 49ers are obtaining written agreement on the sale of shares and not simply buying them is because they are required to follow the process and obtain approval from the SFA.
That said, I'm pretty sure the due diligence process they have followed would have raised any red flags way before now if they thought there was any genuine risk in this.
Additionally, I can't imagine the SFA picking a fight with the 49ers - they have the potential to bring a lot of new eyes and money to our league, which translates to more money for the fat cats.

Although I think this is absolute bull it's clear the authorities have a bias. From announcing teams will be allowed to request games off the same season they need qualifiers, their double fouls than anyone else to require a card or the fact the released news of unrealistic league reconstruction the same time as the compensation claims to try and overshadow it.

The 49rs sports investment company has sought a qualified business partner in AC to spearhead this takeover hence keeping the sfa and any objections in line also. i believe its speed of takeover and size is already having an impact on the sfa and any ideas it may have.

This was dealt with months ago!
The SFA said the proposed takeover was no issue for them.
Also that would have been tackled last year right at the start of this process.
This is not back of a fag packet, never been done before, approach. In fact by all accounts this takeover has been handled and managed pretty flawlessly.
In England how many of these have we seen been exposed at its infancy only to implode due to press involvement etc.
So far both parties look like they have been superb throughout. Despite this being quite tricky to manoeuvre through.
So I call BS like most of us.

I had a friend who could tell you how much money a VIP held and where. So IT employees must access some damaging material. It's what you do with it that matters. I just spoke to several sources within the SFA and they're telling me quite the opposite. They all say the SFA would support any takeover as they think they can take advantage of this. They want to try and use the new owners connections and tap into the growing market in America and believe the new owner will help.

This is absolute nonesense. IT companies manage the infrastructure and applications that companies use. They do not access any data as that would breach data protection regulation which has fines based on turnover. For those that don't understand what that means, it is effectively unlimited fines.
