I don't suppose anyone will know the answer, but do you think Mikey Moore will have a clause in his contract with spurs regarding relegation? I know some sponsors do and would assume many players do too, but I did wonder about Mikey. Money they'd want I doubt we could afford anyway but just a thought
11 Mar 2026 18:22:44
I doubt many Spurs players would have had that foresight unless they signed this season after last year's mess.
11 Mar 2026 18:26:22
I think Spurs getting relegated could be the making of Moore, a wee bit like Grealish at Villa.
I think if Spurs stay up, then he would get out back on loan again, hopefully to us (but I doubt it). If they get relegated, he could become a 1st team regular for them in the Championship, and do extremely well in that division.
11 Mar 2026 19:02:53
He was valued at £20m before we signed him on loan.
I don't think it's gone up imo or down tbf.
I think we could only realistically get him if we paid £10m, and they held a 50% stake in him, if that's allowed. If not, 50% of his total future fee.
11 Mar 2026 19:03:35
I just don't get the clamour for Moore at all. He looks good on the eye at times, and anonymous at others. His end product has never been there, and he has been given game time to develop that only benefits his parent club.
Add to that, our own prospect has been sidelined as a result.
Still a terrible signing for me. No more loans of this profile unless we have a buy clause, imo.
11 Mar 2026 19:18:21
Couldn't have put it any better, Tommy. ??
11 Mar 2026 19:43:53
He's 18, Tommy, consistency comes with maturity. He's a very good talent, he's robust for a youngster, seems humble and wants to work hard, and his all-round game will improve. He would be a great piece of business if we could keep him on again for another year.
11 Mar 2026 19:44:15
He is our best winger by a country mile, I don't know how people don't see that. Yes, he is inconsistent, but he is 18, which some seem to forget also.
11 Mar 2026 20:03:34
He is inconsistent due to his age. Unfortunately, he is playing inconsistently for us now, but it will benefit Spurs in the longer term. Like some others, I would prefer to play our own inconsistent youngsters to give them game time to get them past that inconsistency as they grow older.
I like Moore as a player, but I would just rather we develop our own.
11 Mar 2026 20:19:11
Have to say, he has grown so much this season, and I know people point to his inconsistency, but he is young and, tbf, our whole forward line is awful at converting chances. The one thing nobody can say is that he hides; in both Old Firm matches recently he was one of our only players willing to get on the ball and try things.
For an 18-year-old, this is brilliant, but I do agree we should not bring him back unless it is permanent, as I'd rather we develop our own or sign someone else for us to make a profit on. ??
11 Mar 2026 20:25:02
Terrible signing? Absolute nonsense. Probably comes from one of the folk saying they want Sima or Cerny back, two players who couldn't get away quick enough. Moore is by far the shining light of this season.
11 Mar 2026 20:29:48
Exactly, Tommy.
11 Mar 2026 20:35:18
Good player, but like others, would rather develop our own. Don't think he'll be here next season either.
11 Mar 2026 21:01:18
He's not a terrible signing, but he's not as good as some are making out. To say he is the best winger in that squad is a pretty low bar. His final ball is pretty poor, and he has a tendency to run up blind alleys, but he is a kid and he'll get better, but it won't be with us.
He excites our fans because the rest of the forwards have been below the standard required and have been a major disappointment.
I would sign him on another year's loan because I would be looking to get rid of the other 7 attackers who have shown very little this season.
11 Mar 2026 21:58:15
Moore had a slow start to the season, like lots of our squad under RM, but he provides a constant threat in the final third. But 5 goals in 37 matches?
Regardless of what league Spurs are playing in next season, you would expect MM to be part of their first-team squad.
Don't see us paying large sums of money to bring him back on loan, but that's a decision for DR to make if MM is available.
11 Mar 2026 22:05:54
Fork, I would rather Curtis got game time, but he is on loan, and Moore has been our best winger.
Tommy, it's not a terrible signing; that's just wrong, completely wrong. I know you are entitled to your opinion, and I like your posts, but that is way off the mark.
11 Mar 2026 22:06:35
Wsl, I never said it wasn't a low bar, but it's still true.
11 Mar 2026 22:21:06
I know, Storm, but I would rather have played him, bud, tbh.
11 Mar 2026 22:28:04
Talking about Moore and his inconsistencies, down to him being only 18. What excuses do we have for the rest of the squad?
11 Mar 2026 22:30:53
Not sure I've seen a 17/18-year-old ever play like that for our club. I think he could be great at any level with the right development and attitude.
12 Mar 2026 01:29:14
I know he plays on a different wing, but I'd rather next season starts to give Kyle Glasgow game time to start his growth, and see what all the clamour is all about, as obviously I've seen very little of him.
Curtis as well would be worth giving game time, especially if he continues to get minutes for Killie and does well.
12 Mar 2026 01:45:52
Certainly not terrible. I do agree we expected more; however, on balance, it's just what you would normally get if you're a Scottish club signing an up and coming player on loan.
12 Mar 2026 04:59:42
I'm in the camp that Mikey Moore is a superb young player, with imo a big football career ahead of him. ? I would love us to be able to keep him for another year, although I doubt we'll be able to, and there's no chance we'll be able to sign Moore permanently. ☹️ He's only 18 years old, so of course he's going to be inconsistent in a few games, but easily our best attacking, most creative player for me.
? ?? Hopefully, with one of our good young talents, Findlay Curtis, currently on loan at Kilmarnock, we'll have Moore's replacement in waiting for next season, as I absolutely like the look of this kid also. ? ??
12 Mar 2026 06:50:58
Don't forget Zebedee Lawson, aged just over 17, who looked confident when given a cameo a couple of months back. Wayne Rooney started at Man United at 18 and went on to great things, so if you are good enough you are old enough. IMHO ?? Curtis/Lawson - time for our own to shine.
12 Mar 2026 07:06:45
Don't see Curtis as a player that can impact the big games like Moore. I also agree with a couple of posts that Moore still has a lot of development to go.
Curtis, when brought back, I doubt will be a regular starter, more a squad player than possibly back out on loan.
12 Mar 2026 10:10:12
Blue Floyd, Wayne Rooney started at Everton at 16, mate.
12 Mar 2026 10:21:12
Blue Floyd, I liked the look of Lawson as well. I was hoping he would get more minutes.
12 Mar 2026 11:43:52
Tommy, c'mon mate, we've seen some terrible signings recently, but Moore is certainly not one of them. He's a fantastic footballer. Perhaps, like many of our players (including Curtis), he suffers from a lack of pace that hinders him, but if there's one player of ours you want on the ball, it's him.
12 Mar 2026 12:18:43
We all like the idea of our own kids breaking through, but talk of Glasgow making anything but cameo appearances at the age of 16 in a team chasing trophies is fantasy. The good thing is that he will now be able to be included and get on in cup ties etc.
Our 4 boys at Alloa are doing well, and the likes of Lawson and McCallion are highly rated.
It will be interesting to see if they can break through. Seeing this formation that Rohl is playing, I was thinking that Gentles could maybe be Naderi's deputy as the secondary striker.
12 Mar 2026 13:20:32
Btw, I wasn't agreeing he was a terrible signing, far from it. I was agreeing we should develop our own.
