I'm so sorry reading your recent posts Mystar and Angus that u are coming round to the idea that enough is enough. I wish u would have had the last laugh and been able to say told u so. Where I absolutely agree with you tho is whoever eventually comes in will need to be given time. We just need someone we can trust to be given that time whoever that may be. No doubt we'll all still have opinions but Just don't hire someone so universally unpopular. It's been like Everton hiring Rafa who noone wanted and want out before they start and was never going to work out.

The problem is they new appointment has to be someone that gets results and people can see good progression. his current team look worse and worse each week.
Trust has to be earned, its not just given and Martin should never have been trusted with such a job based on his CV.

Well said Kaiser. Mystar and Angus are both top contributors on here. As happy clappers they have always had a bit more patience than the rest of us ??.
25 Aug 2025 17:11:32
Kaiser fantastic post, both the posters you mentioned are exceptional posters and I for one enjoy my discussions with both.
I too wished that I would have egg on my face when I said this would never work, I take no pleasure in being correct as it hurts so much more than making a mistake.
25 Aug 2025 17:16:03
Time isn't the issue.
It's progression.
And we've seen nothing to suggest he can turn around the teams fortunes.
I would go as far as to say that some players are regressing under him.

Kaiser, Very positive person mate and i do know patience is required, but that man has took my positively away from the type of football he's wanting played.
25 Aug 2025 17:33:26
If star and Angus have given up then the balloon has well and truely burst. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way at all. I'm just totally done with this charlatan.
25 Aug 2025 17:53:49
Same here, I'm another happy clapper however we were wants from the get go that we'd get possession football, very little shots and as many pals against as for. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. Would be more fun and interesting if he started every game with the same formation he finished the st mirren game with ?.
25 Aug 2025 17:57:12
I'm actually glad that almost ever poster on here is in a similar page, it's quite refreshing for a change.
25 Aug 2025 18:19:04
I'm probably guilty myself of being too loyal at times and of course have made a good few judgement mistakes on here but i was willing to give this more time but i just can't see this improving under Russell Martin and i take no great pleasure in saying we need to replace him before more damage is done ?.
25 Aug 2025 18:27:53
Potatohead I totally agree with your comments about players regressing. Antman when he first played looked phenomenal, now he looks bang average. Rothwell is another who looked to be good his first couple of games and he now looks like he'd struggle for a game with Morton.
Whatevers happening at training and behind closed doors, the players aren't buying it.
25 Aug 2025 18:35:06
Anyone who can get defenders defending, midfielders creating and strikers shooting at goal, instead of this boring safety first stuff will do for me!
25 Aug 2025 18:40:14
That's been one of my main concerns Star. Even if he managed to get players to play his system, which I don't believe he can, I simply can't stand that type of football. So he's taking time with a lot of pain as he puts it to make something I really don't want to watch and very unlikely to succeed anyway.
25 Aug 2025 18:50:19
Star he has drained us all pal but if we all on here are on the same page, it just shows how bad RM is and glad we all agree his time is up. Let's hope this board know we have to act quickly.
The one thing we could get is the new manager bounce and a salvageable season.
25 Aug 2025 18:52:13
The situation we are in is nothing to do with the popularity of the manager. It's about results pure and simple. We as the Rangers support on the whole would accept poor football in the short to medium term provided we could see progress and a growth in the strength of the team as we were promised.
There is no chance this is happening with this manager and players.
25 Aug 2025 18:55:00
The perfect time for that new manager bounce would be Wednesday ? but I'll settle for Sunday ?.
25 Aug 2025 19:01:34
A new manager in now and this season can still be good for us.
25 Aug 2025 19:12:50
I'm pretty sure if we could see anything progressing on the pitch a new manager would get some time . The problem is we have now drawn with 3 teams that have had to rebuild as much as us over the summer, and 2 of which have new managers, and yet we are still listening to our manager saying it takes time . If we had gone out to Brugge or even struggled in the first OF game I wouldn't be happy but I could understand that argument but not in these three games . What makes it worse is that Motherwell outplayed us and outran us, Dundee were not great but better organised than us and St Mirren with new players, played to their managers system to perfection . Our team are showing none of these things.
25 Aug 2025 19:30:04
Correct mph he is making players worse now.
25 Aug 2025 19:33:39
I wouldn't say I have given up fully (always live in hope ?) but I can see that any manager who loses the support so obviously will have a long way back if in fact that road is even open. I still am of the opinion that the board might not act as quickly as fans hope and every week that goes by there might be a chance that the team clicks but I doubt that even if it were to the fans would change.
My worry is that sacking a manager after 3 months no matter how badly we think he has done isn't a great selling point to a prospective manager and makes our bargaining hand on salary and contract length difficult.
I also think that there are deep-rooted issues which that new manager will have to still deal with so I don't expect a sudden turnaround in form or results. so kaiser we agree that someone needs to be given time both initially and if things go poorly in say a years time. will anyone get that time if they start poorly then I am not sure. we can say that constant retort about seeing improvement but as soon as we lose to Dundee the games up.
however this works I think we all want the success the club has been starved of. I don't care how that happens but hope it is soon but also long term.
25 Aug 2025 20:11:08
Angus I'm asking you a serious question right now, how much damage is done to our reputation by getting thumped out the CL and losing to our biggest rivals? Also a real risk of being 10 points behind come the end of August? Also how much more toxic the fanbase will become because of said issues?
Where as they sack him and get a small dent to our reputation.
What are these deep rooted issues you mention? There are only a couple of players still here after many years and new owners so what exactly is that problem.
25 Aug 2025 20:52:02
I don't know why managers who may have been interested wouldn't want a job just because the previous one was rubbish Angus.
25 Aug 2025 21:48:04
We don't give managers time, be the same if we get rid of Martin and bring someone else in.
26 Aug 2025 10:03:29
Who are all the interested managers, Kaiser?
