Playing golf today and was told by the club pro who had been playing with 2 ex rangers players that Scott Parker had been lined up to replace gio.

John27 had mentioned scott parker and callum davidson were very much in the thoughts of our board weeks ago Gor1872?.

2.) 06 Nov 2022 19:00:33
Hope not he's more boring on TV than gio and I'm unsure of his cv.

3.) 06 Nov 2022 19:02:06
Scott Parker had issues with the board not backing him at Bournemouth and was sacked. Can’t see him coming to us when there will be little to no money to spend.

4.) 06 Nov 2022 19:07:25
Almost word for word copy of a post from a few weeks back.

5.) 06 nov 2022 19:39:05
its ok walter

he drives a mercedes nowadays mate.

6.) 06 Nov 2022 19:52:57
Onewalter I personally couldn’t care how they look on tv is that what you look for in a manager? How they look on tv.

7.) 06 Nov 2022 20:18:00
Storm I accept your point mate I meant like gio he doesn't come across as very inspiring.

8.) 06 Nov 2022 20:29:29
Lol noway will this board get a guy that is critical of his board I think Scott Parker has burned a lot of bridges and will struggle to get back into management unless he drops down levels.

9.) 06 Nov 2022 20:53:08
Get what you're saying Onewalter, I'd love to see a bit more fire and passion from the dugout.

10.) 06 Nov 2022 21:32:14
Some managers like interviews some don’t I have never read anything into that.

11.) 06 Nov 2022 21:33:33
Gofor he would be dropping down coming to the spfl as he has been manager in epl and championship both better level than Scotland.

12.) 06 Nov 2022 21:44:43
Tbh I think Chris wilder is a great shout, we have to make a change though, gio can’t come back from this, hopefully done sooner rather than later, still got two cups to play for and try and run them close in the league, it’s not all doom and gloom lads.

13.) 06 Nov 2022 22:09:35
Fulham are my English side and I can categorically tell you scott parker is an extremely boring and negative manager and for the love of me I cannot c him being an upgrade on gio plus he has fell our with boards at Bournemouth and fulham for not being backed more financially so to me he should be a complete non starter.

14.) 07 Nov 2022 09:20:19
I honestly don’t know what’s worse… sticking by Gio or going for some of these names. It’s November and I just want this season over with now! From the highs of Seville to this in the matter of months!

15.) 07 Nov 2022 09:27:51
Gd on scott parker he should be backed more like gio should have been and any other manager uou can't get a winning team with £10 player you need £10 mill player.

16.) 07 Nov 2022 10:49:44
Monty2488- probably some of the names being mentioned are not inspiring the majority of the supporters, but it’s a major decision for the club if we were to appoint a new manager.

17.) 07 Nov 2022 11:41:06
Parker would never come to Rangers with this penny pinching Board. He would be insisting on a proper transfer budget and he would want control of signing players!

18.) 07 Nov 2022 14:32:00
Storm your missing my point do you honestly think someone like park who picks fights with everyone will hire a gobby manager that had a lot of money to spend only to complain he didn't have enough to deflect criticism from him and look at Fulham after he left not exactly a ringing endorsement of the guy.

So its looking like Beale then lads, let's give the man a chance and support him, if you watch any interviews of players who have worked under him, they all speak very highly about him. He also is not a stupid man so he knows what he is walking into and must believe he can turn it around so let's get behind him.

In all honesty guys I never like getting beat off them, but I think the league is gone, that's why I think we won't get rid of gio, I think we will just ride out the season and take it from there in the summer. If we were to appoint a new manager just now and things don't improve by the end of the season, would we want a new manager again? Only other option would be maybe temporary manager until the end of the season.

Gor1872

1.) 16 nov 2022 21:21:05
i agree with you entirely mate, i believe thay know he's lost it, but 2nd place is next best and theyl wait.

there will be options already spoken about and to

some of these options may not want to take tese players and will wait til summer, others would fancy their chances in january, but i agree with you

the biggest issue I've got is his complete inability to change, or organise, or form a shape to combat different sides, all the same

allowing tavernier to waste about 30 crosses per game and watching morelos trying to control a ball, is frankly laughable, and we are being laughed at

thats unacceptable, imo.

2.) 16 Nov 2022 21:48:51
The only problem with that scenario is people spend a lot of money to support their football team. It’s difficult to justify the spend in the current climate especially if all you do is moan when you get back from the game. I hope we play a helluva lot better in the second half of the season, the style of football must change if we are to feel better about our team. Heres hoping.

3.) 16 Nov 2022 22:50:49
The league isn’t gone it’s only 9 points and we still have to play them 3 times. Our defeatist manager seems to be rubbing off on some of our fans how can you accept the league is over in November? If we sack Gio now and bring someone in with fresh ideas who knows what will happen. If we keep him and we inevitably play as rubbish as we have been after the break then the league will be over in no time.

4.) 17 Nov 2022 03:24:34
Beckenbaur Ancellotti sir Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough couldn't win this league with this team.

5.) 17 Nov 2022 04:56:10
If and i state if the board believe gio isn't the man and the league is gone then surely they would be better putting an interim manager in charge until the end of the season with fresh ideas and who might be able to get these players playing better within a system ?.

6.) 17 Nov 2022 10:02:54
The idea of brining in a manger now and him struggling until the end of the season is surely better than waiting until the summer and him struggling next season. Gio is taking this team backwards at an alarming rate we needed change before now and time now is being wasted.

7.) 17 Nov 2022 15:08:22
Quite agree don’t think the league is over but will be in January if we don’t get a new manager in.

What if any change would this bring mate? Do you need a majority vote for him to be replaced?
